Stayed in this hotel with the family 2 weeks ago and it was a superb one for the 2D1N stay. The bedroom is lush for a new hotel, complete with a spacious bathroom (choice of shower or bathtub). Reception was nice and friendly.
We took the BBQ buffet dinner offer (at Rp248,000/person) and we felt well, there could be more variety of the buffet dinner. Nonetheless, we had an entertaining live band at The Gravity Ten Bar and that made up the dinner for us I supposed.
Be prepared to place a security deposit of Rp500,000 upon checking in. This amount will be reimbursed back to you upon check-out (subject to around 7 days).
Only one small hiccup was flipping over one of the bathroom towels to see some brown stains on it. Since I was staying alone in my room deluxe king room, I did not really need a new towel since there were two. So I just used the other one for the night and morning.
Breakfast spread and variety was more than good enough.
Overall, pleasant memory of the hotel stay and will look to coming again real soon.

Stayed 3 nights at the 2 bedrooms apartment on the 21st floor which comes with buffet breakfasts for 3 pax at the lobby restaurant that has a fairly good spread. Check in and out was simple and easy enough. Staff was friendly and most can speak English. Apartment was spacious, clean and adequately furnished that includes a small fridge, 3 TVs and a stove, plus basic toiletries and cutlery. Didn’t use the stove though as it was pretty rusty so not sure whether it still works. Good number of cable TV channels available. Only 2 cups provided and no butter knife or bottle openers eg. for beer or wine. Mini safe is also available but it is not bolted in so didn’t use that. Called technician twice as aircon in the living room didn’t work. Service for repairs as well as calls for towels/ toiletries were prompt. Only 2 lifts for the 22 storey apartment block. Small swimming pool and 2 well equipped gyms, 1 of which is located at the hotel block. No towels provided for either or for the swimming pool. Lack of supervision and regulation on pool usage. Can see guests swimming with their T-shirts on and wearing slippers while walking or standing on the pool edge.

We had stayed in this hotel for multiple times we even recommended some of our friends to stay in this hotel. However, this time we were very disappointed by the service and attitude of Yoni, the manager of the hotel and will not ever visit this hotel ever again.
We were served by Yoni, who provided us a really disappointing experience. We booked a 3 room apartment for 4D3N which cost us 3,200,429 per night. However, they only informed us that the 3 room apartment was not available only at point where we check in. As we have a kid with us, we decided to compromise for a 2 room apartment (2,288,000) + spare bed (400,000) which adds up to a total of 2,688,000.
We requested to be charged 2,688,000/day for the first day and willing to compromise with a 2 room apartment for the first day and shift to 3 room apartment for the other 2 days. However, they are unwilling to charge us the price for the 2 room apartment and continue to overcharge us the 3 room apartment price which cost us an additional 512,429.
According to Yoni, they are able to cancel our agoda booking and charge us through direct booking which will reflect the actual amount. However, they choose not to do that.
To make matters worse, they tried to bill us more by counteroffering us to cancel our 3 room apartment and charge us their 2 room apartment which cost 3,122,560/day (they called it the market rate then when we booked a few mths in advance) which doesnt include the spare bed which would cost us a total of 3,522,560 / day which is more than the cost of our 3 bedroom?

This is not my first time staying here.
Not the first time in Aston hotel chain either.
All my other stay in Aston was absolutely amazing, in fact it was exceptional.
But today my friends and myself got a nightmare when we checked-in into their 3 bedroom apartment.
The room was ridiculously dirty, dusty, stinky and super greasy.
There’s so many things that is wrong here.
We booked the room for 5 people.
When we came in, apart from it being so horrendous, there’s no utensils at all.
Only plates, bowls and 2 drinking glasses.
A room booked for five having two drinking glasses. No other basic cutleries. There were no drinking bottled water.
The kitchen top was ultimately greasy.
The floor was sticky.
The remotes were either not working or no battery.
And they were dead cockroaches under the bed.
The room was definitely not cleaned beforehand.
It was in a terrible state.
We called the reception twice and only after 20 minutes, they came up to clean and to start putting all the cutleries and topping up the necessity bottled water and tea, coffee, sugar. Seriously?
Even the staff while cleaning mentioned to the supervisor that this room was not to be given out but it clearly went to deaf ears. We appreciate his honesty.
We were then moved to another room and of course that room was cleaned prior and topped up with the necessary stuffs.
Hence we took it, given the state of the original room.
This is definitely not the kind of standard Aston portrays over the web.
Has Aston gone to be lazy or complacent?
It sure did waste our time and short gateway with this unnecessary situation.

It was sparkly clean and there wasn't even an insects in it. The hotel was only a walking distance to indomart. Otherwise u need to Grab car to Nagoya Mall which cost only $2plus. Using Gojek is very convenient as the food will be delivered at the lobby.
