We had a very pleasant stay at the Banyan Tree Resort. The food was excellent and so was the service . We loved the Thai restaurant food . It was the best fish curry we have had in ages. The massage was amazing and a very relaxing experience. Adi was our host and he took exceptional care to all our...

We stayed at the gorgeous Banyan Tree for 3 days for my birthday. It could not have been nicer. With our stunning ocean view villa complete with its own jacuzzi, my birthday celebrations got off to an amazing start. The 2 hour massage at the spa villa was one of the best I have ever experienced. Dinner on the rock...

Absolutely gorgeous stay, even though it was short. We picked the perfect time to go as all the families had just left from easter break. Rizan really looked after us exceptionally well and even went the extra mile to organise a surprise for my Girlfriend as it was her birthday. We didn't even expect that the late night turn down...

We got upgraded to the spa pool villa which i believe is the biggest villa here. The villa was amazing! The private pool is huge for just 2 of us and the view is great. Personally i love the jacuzzi with hot water! I have to say every one of the staff of this hotel is sooo friendly and helpful!!...

The resort, now twenty years old, is still a great place for Singaporeans to get some R&R. An easy 45 minute commute via ferry and 10 minute drive from the terminal means you're still relaxing after the trip. The roads leading up to Banyan Tree were well maintained, the property is gated and secure. We booked a two bedroom ocean...

We stayed at the Banyan Tree for 5 days and did the half board option. The half board included yummy breakfast with lots of variety every day and a 3 course dinner at any restaurant that was at the Banyan Tree. The dinners were fantastic, if I had to pick a favourite, it would be Saffron. All restaurants are top...

The room was average, with a bathroom blind that broke, lack of computer & mobile device charging points, bats living outside on the patio, making it unpleasant to go out at night. Could do with more towels in bathroom and the replenishment of the teas / coffee was not good In summary for what I paid I really expected more

I must first qualify that I won this 2 night stay, so we only paid for food and drinkies. So....... Pick up for our (late) ferry was seamless, the welcome was warm and helpful. The Rainforest Seaview villa was typically Balinese- all dark wood, thatching and wafting bed curtains, with a fun-sized king bed laid with luxurious, white linen. Lovely,...

The villa was nearby the ferry terminal. Customer service was professional. The room and the view was merely marvellous. Soft bed was an added star to the room. A pleasant and peaceful break. Suitable short holiday. In room dining choices was lesser compared to dine in the restaurant itself. Food were slight costly. Good spread for buffet breakfast. The TV...

Dear Kothavalli P, Thank you for sharing your experiences and giving us feedback. Obviously I am delighted to read how much you enjoyed the unique setting and your compliments on our associates, but I am certainly very sorry that we have fallen short in limited choices of In room dining menu, TV channel as well as the Wifi. Let me...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Close to Singapore lies a sweep of brilliant Indonesian islands, the most spectacular of which are found in the Riau Archipelago. Bintan Island has long been one of the region's most popular destinations. Banyan Tree Bintan occupies 240 hectares on the sea front and is comprised of 72 villas modeled on traditional Balinese architecture, all beautifully located in virgin forest. The resort's Jacuzzi villas have jacuzzis built into their sun decks whilst the two-bedroom pool villas have their own plunge or swimming pools and are particularly suitable for families. Culinary variety is the name of the game with "Crossroads" offering Western cuisine in an air-conditioned or al fresco setting while the Saffron Restaurant serves Thai and South East Asian specialties. You can also dine in your own villa - simply order from the a la carte menu or make a selection from the BBQ dinners cooked in front of your eyes. The new food and beverage outlet, "The Cove," is modern and up-tempo; Mediterranean cuisine is prepared here to perfection. ... more   less
