An excellent place if you are looking to get away from the maddening crowds. Only 20 rooms / villas, so really a quaint boutique resort. Great personalised service and all staff will recognise you after a couple of days. Pool and beach are great. Additional activities like snorkelling tours and sea sport activities are available. Price points including massage services are well positioned and reasonable. Highly recommended and we will most definitely return.
Feedback Trikora Beach Club and Resort Bintan Written by Sue Greenwood guest from 20 – 23 September 22 What do you want from a break from the bustle of work in the midsts of tall buildings, shopping malls and the noise of traffic? I want peace, quiet and simplicity. At Trikora beach you will find just that. You will also have the cool sea breeze in your hair, an uninterrupted view of the beach, an infinity pool you can lie and in look out to sea - if you prefer fresh water - and simple rooms with all the amenities you need. I came here four years ago and loved it. It was so accessible from Singapore and so refreshing, it lifted my spirits and enabled me to relax and breathe. I feared it would not be the same. I found it enhanced by an improved menu and additions to the creature comforts of the rooms. It has been hard to survive these difficult years of covid, but the staff have not only been supported but also benefited from extra training. They are charming and helpful. If you are looking to rest and recuperate, to breathe fresh air in natural surroundings, to swim in the sea, enjoy snorkelling, or write, this is the place for you. It would be an excellent place to run a yoga retreat, a staff retreat or a workshop, away from noice and distractions. The ethos of the owners and their wish to support and enhance the local community as well as to protect the environment is apparent in the choices they have made and I really appreciate and welcome that.…
My friend visiting from the UK and I stayed at Trikora Beach Resort in 2018. We had a fabulous stay. As we headed towards the resort this time, we were worried as to what we would find after four years and the travel lockdown. We were so delighted to find the resort just as tranquil and quietly welcoming as before. And that the owners had obviously used the enforced lull to maintain and upgrade the resort; one could not imagine that there had not been guests for more than two years. Our room was, as we remembered, simple yet not lacking in comfort in any way. The gardens have matured and so have the staff; they seem to have greater assurance as evidenced by the quietly confident way in which they looked after us. One of our big concerns was food, as we recalled that nearby dining alternatives are few and far between. To our delight we not only found an expanded menu but the food more enjoyable than we remembered. This visit we learned of the business ethos of the owners. It did not take us long to see that despite the economic difficulties in the past few years, they remain steadfast in their devotion to the care for the environment, their staff and the local community. As if we needed another reason to come back! We could not have asked for a more delightful and refreshing stay so close and seamlessly easy to get to from Singapore. Thank you everyone at Trikora Beach Club for a idyllic stay, and as someone had so famously said before, Hasta la vista baby!…
The staff were really friendly! The pool is amazing as well, ranging from 1.2m to 3.2m in depth. Food was also very authentic, buffet style. Must try their omelette! All in all a good experience, will definitely go again.
This resort has been very well designed and developed. The rooms are basic with white stained wooden doors and an adobe finish but they are very comfortable. The eco-friendly credentials are certainly in evidence. The beach is picturesque but largely unswimmable although the pool is clean and beautifully located. The food is very good with 'specials' every night and a trick is to ask for a special dish like steamed fish - in my case perfectly delivered the next night. The only alcohol available is Bintang beer and taking your own beverage like gin worked well for an evening tipple! The resort can be crowded at weekends when the Singaporians visit but during the week it was quiet and very relaxing. The SPA is very good and the staff right across the board were helpful, attentive and courteous. A nice quiet out-of-the-way haven!…
I have been visiting this place since opening in 2013. Setting is beautiful, wood usage is very tasteful, beautiful gardening and pool. Rooms are simple but nice with white driftwood, a theme which goes through the whole resort. Showers need overall, and I hate curtains for 250 SGD per night, that doesnt reflect the pricetag. However.... Prices have doubled since then. I paid now 250 SGD per night incl. tax for 2. BBQ cost 450k IDR p.p,, Ginger tea in the morning charge is 35k IDR. Bintang 60k IDR per can. They ask for 250k IFR for one hour rent of SUP. I get this for free in other places with this price tag. Massage is excellent, but also expensive for Indonesia. The prices are now like at all Bintan Resorts in the north, but these are run more professional as service remains poor. They are nice but clueless and stuck to inflexible rules put on them. For a lower pricetag you close your eyes on this but not for 250k SGD anymore. Get things sorted and make prices reasonable, otherwise people wont come.…
The designer or architect who created this resort did very very well: taste is everywhere. It is classy and this white cerused wood decoration is fantastic. Far from these tasteless concrete resorts. We felt good, enjoyed the service, the villas and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a quite break by the sea.
Trikora was a wonderful spot on a beautiful beach. I spent 2 days there last week with my father in one of the garden bungalows. All in we had a great time, the staff were super helpful and the room was exactly what we wanted. Pool was also amazing and general lounging areas were fantastic. I had a great 90 mins massage and scrub, which I would highly recommend to anyone looking to unwind. My only negative really is Bintan Island itself as there isn't a whole lot to do there outside of the resort. Tanjung Pinang, the town where our ferry came in, is the only suggested attraction and it's not the prettiest of places. If you're used to having some choice when it comes to restaurants or attractions then I would maybe reconsider a visit to Bintan. Also the hotel has no bar so if you're partial to a sundowner I would 100% recommend bringing a bottle of your favourite tipple with you as will need to make drinks yourself. Wine is also super expensive at the resort so perhaps consider bringing your own. So all in we had a great time and the staff were amazing, but I wouldn't want to stay longer than 2 nights as I like to explore a bit and have some variety when I'm on holiday. But that's just me.…
If you intend to have a quiet holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the usual touristy hotels in Bintan, choose this place. It is tucked away on the eastern part of Bintan, and located beside the sea, and a beachfront that is literally a private area for the guests of Trikora Beach Resort. The rooms are all chalets and villas, and the interior of the rooms are simply designed yet complete with full amenities & air-conditioning. Everywhere else is open air, and it feels so relaxing to have the wind blowing in your face 24 hours. Service from the team at the Resort is impeccable, and they are always ready to offer advice and service whenever you need anything. There is a 20m swimming pool which is a good place to chill and relax under the sun. Definitely a great place for people who are looking for a different place for their holiday.…
I was looking for a less touristy resort for my boyfriend and I to getaway from the crowds of Singapore and this was perfect! A little bit less convenient than staying in the north of the island, but overall, the remoteness of the resort/beach made the whole experience so much more unique and personalized. The staff at the resort, from the housekeepers to gardeners to waitresses/waiters to the front desk/concierge to drivers were all incredibly lovely and helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent (must try the local specials, order ahead of time) and the complimentary breakfast was very healthy (there are unhealthy but also yummy options if you prefer :P) and substantial. The pool is amazing and we had it mostly to ourselves as there weren't many other people staying at the resort during the week. Got two massages that were really relaxing and luxurious in a in a beautifully designed hut next to the sea and beach. Couldn't have been happier about the stay! Lovely people and beautiful and relaxing resort.…
