We scoured the entire Senggigi strip and the adjoining beach, called Batu Bolong, to make sure we'd be happy in one spot for full full three weeks. Considering the quality of rooms in our budget, distance from the beach and amenities, internet access, and other small details, this place was our choice. And unlike a few others, Batu Bolong Cottages...

We spent four nights at the Batu Bolong Cottages after moving out from the Santosa Villas & Resort (see my review under that hotel). In Batu Bolong you get what you pay for: A decent hotel at a reasonable price. We paid 60 USD for our beachfront room up on the 1st floor and 35 USD for a room on...

Before I went to Lombok, I read reviews about this hotel in Tripadvisor. Because I visited Lombok in a group arranged by a travel agent, I didn't expect too much. I got a nice room. The sheet was clean, the bath tub was clean, the tiles were good, there's no annoying smell in the bathroom. The water run well. There...

After glowing reports in our lonely planets book we couldn't wait to visit sengiggi. Boy were we disappointed, the beaches we're average or covered in litter, the service almost everywhere was poor and the hawkers trying to sell you massage and other stuff were really pushy and relentless. In an hour of eating expect 9 or 10. At night we...

Rooms are simply furnished, bathroom very simple and everything does not look too clean. The hotel is quite old. We stayed in the garden apartments across the street. Pool and beach on the otherside. Internet only at restaurant. For taking a shower, having a short sleep before going to the Rinjani trek it was okay.

My wife and I had intended 2 or 3 nights but stayed a week then extended again and again so in the end stayed almost 3 weeks! A most enjoyable place to stay especially in the garden setting where the cottages open to the most beautiful and well cared for garden and trees. The road divides the property into 2...

This hotel is quite good on appearance: swimming pool, wood cottages with good wood interiors. On a deep analysis you'll see it's quite dirty. They clean everyday of course, but I think the room were we were wasn't cleaned deeply since time. Further the smell from bathroom was very unpleasant as it would come from sewer. The staff is not...

We ( 2 adult and 2 children of 9 an 11 years ) stayed for one week, alltough it was clean we had to fight some nights with coakroaches ( we had a groundfloor apartment), breakfast included in price was good, they also didn't charge for extra beds, staff very friendly, from the pool there is direct access to the...

there are different classes of rooms with different rates in this hotel, we took a garden view bungalow, paid 250.000 rp per night (december 2011), slightly less then the listed rate of 300.000 rp, for that you get a clean & well maintained room, with the usual amenities like tv, ac, hot shower...bathroom seems to have been recently renovated...swimming pool...

We had a very comfortable stay in a garden view bungalow. The pool makes this hotel a great place to stay. It's situated right at the beach and lying at the pool you feel like you are in an expensive resort.

“As far as possible from the road. The rooms on the "beach" site are twice the price for the same room. Check the mattresses.”
of 5 bubbles Tessavanweelie, 27 Jan 2014 | Read review
“1. Best rooms are located in the pool area at the first floor. They are more expensive but give most privacy. 2. At the garden part of the hotel, try to get rooms located farther from the road, otherwise, the screaming motorcycles might be disturbing at night. 3. Get in contact with the hotel directly, instead of making booking via internet booking agencies or travel agents. The real prices are much cheaper that the published ones.”

“The four units facing the pool are obviously the best. Similar would be the ones above those, but not if you don't like stairs. WIFI is only available in rooms close to the wireless modem in the restaurant.”
