We arrived at Villa 1000 after a full day of driving from the north, through the West Bank, with stops in Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea. Villa 1000 was a pleasant refuge and the owner was very gracious. It overlooks the road to the western side of Masada and has a patio that is comfortable even though the daytime...

Want to get up at the crack of dawn to tour Masada? This is the place! Villa 1000 is a simple but lovely guesthouse on the edge of the Negev desert. It's a few minutes' drive from downtown Arad, in a residential section of town, but it's right on the back road to Masada, about 20 minutes from the parking...

The rooms (we had 3) were clean and comfortable; outdoor space was lovely. The town of Arad was interesting and different to explore for a meal. Great restaurant, Musa, in Arad, recommended by the innkeeper Moshe. This is a great place to stay if you want to climb Masada very early. Masada is about 1/2 hour away through beautiful desert...

Me and my brother stayed in May 2011. Perfect place to stay if you want to visit the dead sea. Good value for money and very friendly and helpful staff! Much cheaper than hotels at the dead sea + free parking!

It is just in 20-30 min from the dead sea by car. But the price is much less that hotels on the dead sea. The hotel is very cosy clean and with freandly staff (thank you Moshe), parking available for free. It is not big - like own house, but rooms are very-very nice. Beautiful terrace (garden) has view on...
