I stayed with my extended family at Dan Caesarea Resort in August 2021. We took 4 rooms for 3 nights (the hotel refused to make a reservation for 2 nights). It was one of the worst vacations I had. Me, my wife and my baby girl took the Deluxe Suite, which was the most expensive room we've ever paid for (over $1,700 a night) and were shocked by what we got in return. Seating area When we entered the suite for the first time, we were shocked to find that the seating area was absolutely filthy. It wasn't that no one, made up the room, but the standard of cleaning was extremely bad. There were breadcrumbs on the carpet and on the floor, the coffee machine and glasses were full of dust. The balcony wasn't made up and it looked like someone slept there before we arrived. But things just became worse and worse afterwards. We notified housekeeping and they sent a cleaning leaner and a manager to clean up the the room again and left the room, my wife came in and the manager asked her "if she is happy now". As if she suppose to give a seal of approval to their work. As my baby girl had to take a nap, she didn't really checked all the room and just said OK and they left. The balcony In the evening we decided to use the balcony. They didn't really made it up. We sat there and then started realizing that the balcony was just filthy. Cigarette filters (many different kinds, as if no one cleaned the place for ages), toys left by another family, turned up chair covers, plastic shot glass on the floor - a dump. We called the reception again. No one came to clean up the balcony. We decided to simply not make use of it. The bedroom Then came the night and when we tried to get some sleep we were surprised to see the bedroom is like a dancing club. The A/C controller next to us had 3 very bright green LED lights. Another bright red light came from the TV when it was off. Above us there was a motion sensor with a bright red light that turned up every time someone moved in the bed. When all the lights were off you could see everything in the room because of all the lights. Finally, as it was August and very hot we turned the A/C, the amount of noise the A/C made while being used could be used to mask a party if it took place outside. We called the reception yet again, they said they’ll come and neutralize the motion sensor and see what they can do about the A/C controller and check the A/C. We left the room for a while. When we came back we saw that they’ve put duct tape on the A/C controller, the motion sensor was still on and the A/C was still noisy. The bathroom Initially we thought the bathroom was ok, but in the morning we realized that the bathtub had bandages taped on it (this is COVID time to remind you). The hotel facilities The facilities of the hotel look great at a first glance - until you give a closer look and actually try to use them. I took my baby girl to the swingers, her & my hand actually turned black after using it - it looks like no one is cleaning them. The tree house was dirty with leftovers of food someone left there. Some of the arcade games didn’t work. The carpets in the lobby in the seating area were full of stains and turned up. I wanted to order some food to the room and was surprised to see that between evening and the morning the only thing I could order were salads (4 different kinds). That’s it. Reminding you that they claim this is a 5 stars hotel. But in Israel the hotels rank themselves so it is no surprise a hotel would give itself any score it feels like giving as there isn’t a regulatory body or standards you need to adhere to. Looking at things objectively. As I’ve mentioned, we came with our extended family. So we asked them how their rooms were. My brother said that his coffee machine and glasses were full of dust. My mother said that she wouldn’t go out to the balcony as hers is filthy. So this isn’t just us stumbling upon bad luck. The hotel is poorly maintained and filthy. The management of the hotel called me a few times during our stay of 3 nights, I had to repeat the issues we had 3 times. In the end the manager told me that they have decided to give us a big discount as a compensation for our experience - 10% off. I would not come back to this hotel and if you care about hygiene and getting basic return for your money, you should stay away from Dan Caesarea Resort.

Beautiful high standard hotel. We had a wonderful romantic winter weekend there. Great breakfast. Excellent service. Lots of things to do in the area, the hotel also provides transportation services to sites near by. Highly recommended!

Dear Mr. Jarvinen, WOW , what a perfect review !!! Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us the experience of your stay with us. The new Dan Caesarea resort combines a different and unique vacation experience, sprawling lawns, pastoral views, gimmicks and works of art. I am happy that you enjoyed the service, the facilities and from our Israeli breakfast buffet. As you mentioned, the Caesarea area offers many attractions, and our guests have at their disposal a luxury shuttle ( Yellow jeep !!! ) that can take them to the nearby beach, the amphitheater, the harbor, as well as to other nearby attractions. I hope we have the pleasure of hosting you with us again in the future. Dan Caesarea Happiness is around With best regards , Matan Lerner GM

The good stuff: one of the nicest hotel properties in Israel, generally great food (not the Friday night dinner), beautiful facilities, great location, probably the best Thai restaurant in Israel is onsite (popup restaurant) and beautiful, modern, well designed rooms. The bad stuff: Taking into account the very high room charges, the level of house keeping is unnacceptable. You receive two complementary mineral water bottles upon arrival, but these are not replaced after the first night. Expresso cups that come with the espresso machine are not cleaned or replaced after their first use. Thorough cleaning gets done before your arrival and after your departure. The level of cleaning during the stay was poor to mediocre. For example, the toilet was not really cleaned during our stay. One more point, it is also unacceptable for a hotel that charges these prices that no appointments for treatments were available at the Spa for the three days we spent at the hotel. There should be some way to manage demand / supply of spa treatments so that hotel guests are reasonably able to schedule something during a three day stay.

We can't get enough of this fantastic hotel. It's the third time this year we chose to come here. The hotel is beautiful and peaceful, the food is excellent, the pool is the best, and everything is surrounded by a green park, featuring a surprise for the kids: REAL tree houses. On top of everything, the hotel staff is so kind and professional. This is a vacation there is no way you will regret!

Wow what an amazing hotel! My children who were in different hotels in Israel and around the world said that it was the best they have had. The service is exceptional. We were answered every request with a smile especially from Mrs. Lily Givoli, who approached us several times to check up on our well-being. The meals were delicious, a wide variety of dishes for children and adults. The rooms are well equipped and clean. We will no doubt return to stay at the hotel.
