With its rolling heels of green pastors, its perfect location by the beach and exquisite food, the Dan Accadia Herzilya offers its guests the best vacay. If you like falling asleep to the sound of waves, spend your days in the beautiful seafront pool and enjoy exquisite cuisine, you can find refuge at this hotel.
We stayed at one of the garden suites, which offered the kids the luxury of running barefoot to the pool, located at the end of the lawn. This extra freedom of not depending on elevators to get you to the beach or the pool was indeed a treat. Moreover, being able to sit by the pool and feel the ocean's breeze blowing at your face, made it an exquisite experience for adults too.
As far as the food goes, both breakfast and dinner offered an array of cuisine to serve all palates. In the breakfast, a part from a selection cheeses, cakes, pastries, vegetables and fruit, there was also a wide selection of eggs. You couldn't leave this feast hungry or even fathom what was ahead of you at dinner.
As for dinner, there was too much to even select from, if that makes sense. The variety of cold cuts, salads, fish, beef, chicken and soups could knock off even the toughest food critic off his feet. And I haven't mentioned yet the desert. There was everything from pastries, to souffle, to different chocolates and cakes. Enough to dazzle the eye with colors and the palate with textures. For the kids, there were the all-time winners of pasts, rice, schnitzels and potatoes. Oh, and lets not forget the assortment of ice creams.
The kids are taken into careful consideration at the hotel. Other than the pool, there's an active kids club where the kids can play with a variety of toys and computer games. There's even a few x-box stations around the club.
The easy access to the beach is another highlight of this hotel. A simple door, a few steps down from the pool leads one straight to the beach.
As far as service goes, the latter was impeccable as we were delivered chocolates, a lovely variety of fruit and a beautiful bottle of 2018 Merlot to the room as a welcome present.
The room itself was spacious and pleasantly decorated, completed with two TV sets and a hardwood floor. All in all, my kids and I can't wait till we get back to this hotel.

As with all hotels which were closed throughout COVID, this one also initially felt as though it needed a freshening up. My room was large and comfortable, but the carpet was badly stained and felt it needed a thorough cleaning or a replacement. When I spoke to the manager, he IMMEDIATELY offered me another room - without question - and an extremely generous gift of dinner at a first-class restaurant nearby.
All staff were helpful and responsive, polite and a pleasure.
Overall, the hotel is truly excellent.

We were a bit worried about the age of the hotel we (especially when the Ritz Carlton salesperson we spoke to pointed it out) but we were so pleasantly surprised and relieved when we saw the hotel and our room were clean and modern and remodelled with great attention to detail. The bright clean bathroom, thick fluffy towels, bright room and comfortable beds were wonderful. We stayed in the basic Herzliya room with a view of the coast and tennis courts. The location is amazing with easy access to the beach and the Reef Dive Club. Very nice pool and grounds and delicious food. Highly recommended for couples and families.

We stayed at the Dan Accadia this week for three nights and we have stayed here before.

The hotel staff, from check-in, to security to pool staff are friendly and try to be helpful.

However, the hotel is definitely not running as efficiently as previously.

Due to covid restrictions, the buffet breakfast cannot be served. Instead the hotel is having us line up and to have staff serve food (e.g. cheeses, omelettes, fish....). I have no issues with these. However, having only three people (one for coffee, one for omelettes and one for cheeses/bread) serve and each one at a separate station makes it very slow and inefficient. For example, the chef cooking omelettes could only make 4 at a time and it took over 20 minutes to get served and there was no time to go back for more if wanted. I also think the coffee server had never operated the machine previously.

Other issues. We had to ask three times to have our balcony cleaned (bird issues) and was not done properly until the 3rd time. Our safe ran out of batteries and the guy who came to fix it didn't bring batteries with him. The lock on the gate to the beach worked to exit the property but not to get back in. You had to take your temperature to get into the hotel (which makes sense). However, once we came in and the temperature machine was not working nor was the handheld thermometer. The cleaning cart was left outside our room in the hallway all day. Usually there was only one person at the front desk and calling down, calls were unanswered...

One big issue that is non-covid related is parking. The hotel has a free public parking lot but its extremely difficult to get a space. There is a small lot for payment attached to the hotel but a) that lot is also quite full and b) there are no in/out privileges, so overnight parking costs 120ILS (and more if you want to go in/out). Considering the cost of the rooms, this seems a bit cheap for the hotel to charge.

Hopefully these are easy fixes and the hotel will be operating efficiently and properly again.

We used to love this hotel but now it is a dump. No ramp to get suitcases into the hotel, only stairs and no one offers to help. The rooms are run down. the furniture is chipped, beds torn, pillows old and lumpy. One glass for two people. No shower cap. Housekeeping staff shouting to one another across the hall way at 8:00 AM, not wearing masks. We had ordered in advance two separated beds for two adults (not a couple) and had to wait an hour for someone to come up to separate them. First he wanted to leave a third mattress underneath so you would have to climb over the third mattress to get to the bed! When asked to remove the third mattress, it was left outside in the hallway! The price is outrageous. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the beautiful location.

As a returning guest to this resort hotel (admittedly after a near 50 year absence) it was both refreshing and disappointing to note that little had changed !

Great grounds, access to the extensive beach, lots of recreation areas for families of all ages, and close proximity to local shops and restaurants remain the attraction. Whilst small, expensive and under provisioned rooms, willing but untrained staff and a generally faded set of public areas are as remembered in the 1970’s.

Unfortunately the demands of international travellers have changed over this period and hotels have dramatically improved their offer and standards and the Accadia has to raise its game if it wishes to cling on to its 5 star status - promoting its longevity and location is not enough.

Having said all this - we shall return but with high expectations and a continued desire to support the country and its people. Please meet us half way and make future visits stress free and match value with cost.

Dear EATMEETANDGREET, Thank you for sharing your feelings following your stay with us; it is by guest’s feedback that we are able to develop our offering for the future. It is always our aim to provide our guests with the best experiences, both in terms of cleanliness and comfort and service and amenities' therefore it is always a regret when a guest leaves anything less than 100% satisfied. While a little too late to rectify for you this time, we have been sure to take on board all comments raised as your experiences are certainly not in keeping with the standards we strive to achieve. My stay at the Dan Acadia hotel was truly a pleasant surprise. Every member of the team, from the reception area and housekeeping staff to the restaurant crew, bartenders, and management, was exceptional.

I'd like to emphasize the outstanding service I received from Daniel at the reception. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly helpful, providing valuable information about the hotel and the Herzliya area. His patience and kindness were evident throughout my stay.

Initially, I had planned for a three-night stay, but after a conversation with Daniel on my first night, I decided to extend my visit by another five nights. Every person I encountered during my time at the hotel was friendly and accommodating. The housekeeping staff on the second floor were consistently warm and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile.

Kobi, the hotel manager, was accommodating and friendly, always checking in with a smile to ensure our comfort and happiness. His dedication to providing excellent hospitality was evident in every interaction. Lastly Roy, the restaurant manager responsible for both the poolside bar and interior Castell hotel restaurant- He consistently went above and beyond, displaying attentiveness and kindness. He made sure the food met our preferences and was always eager to please. Made us feel at home !!

I will highly recommend your hotel to all my friends visiting Herzliya. It truly felt like a resort oasis, and our experience was nothing short of amazing. Many thanks to everyone for the wonderful time. This stay will be a cherished memory, and we hope to return in the future, God Willing!!!!

We just returned from the most amazing few days at the Dan Acadia hotel. It is one of the best run hotels in the country not to mention the most child friendly. There is a fabulous playroom - run by an amazing team. There were various activities offered for children throughout the day and by the pool. The hotel is small and contained so we were able to keep track of our wondering crew. The lifeguard at the pool who has been there for 30+ years is so attentive and on his game. The food is amazing. The views and location are perfect and the the staff just wants to accommodate and please. Highly recommend my happy place!

This used to be a good luxury hotel but it has really gone downhill. Needs major renovation and a better staff. Doorman is useless and lazy. Can't even call a cab. Good example is chair in room which is old and torn (see photo). Belongs in a homeless shelter -- not first-class hotel. Amenities in bath are poor. Miniature bar of soap and shampoo tube that can't be opened, The manager should be fired. Also charged me a fortune on a couple of hours extended checkout.

Perfect, warm and homely atmosphere . The staff is very helpful and kind, always remember you and your preferences from previous visits.
The whole place is green, quiet and calm, and most importantly it is right near the sea (a minute if you walk slowly).
Lots of things to do if you like fine food, a pool or the beautiful sea side of Israel. Also lots of activities related to surfing in the adjacent beach.
There's no way you'll be disappointed from your stay in Dan Accadia!!

Hi, Based on rate, breakfast is usually included, which has an extremely broad range of foods, so dietary needs should not be an issue. As far as lunch/dinner, Tel Aviv/Herzelyia has become a foodie destination....with so many fantastic restaurants to experience, I would not recommend half or full board...pamper yourself and try a different chef restaurant each day!,

The rooms in the main hotel have been updated very nicely. Two adjoining rooms should be fine. The chalets offer more room, but as to my best knowledge, have not been updated. Hope this helps. Arthur
