Detailed Reviews
The Ritz-Carton Herzliya is my new favourite hotel in Israel. My wife, 3 kids and I stayed at the Ritz for one night after our overnight flight from Toronto in two separate rooms beside each other. Everything was perfect. The beds were super comfortable and the shower was one of the best I have ever had. The customer service is excellent. Everytime I came back to the hotel they addressed me by my name. When we left for the beach they provided towels, free beach bags and bottles of water. The hotel is located at the marina and is a 2 minute walk to the beach. The marina hosts many restaurants including my favourite gelato store in Israel (Goldas). The Herzliya beach is much quieter than the beach in Tel Aviv but you can walk north for miles. You can rent surf boards or paddle boards nearby but the waves were pretty calm when we were there. The water temperature was about 70 degree F which was fine for us Canadians but many Israelis were in wetsuits
The hotel has a small rooftop pool which is a great place to watch the sunset. We were there in the winter time and the pool area was not crowded at all.
We stayed on the Shabbat package which included shabbat dinner and the Saturday morning buffet breakfast/brunch. The shabbat dinner was the best hotel dinner that I have had in Israel. It is all about quality not quantity. It included salmon sushi and sashimi, duck breast, prime roast beef, lamb shoulder, roast chicken and lots of various salads, chicken soup and parve desserts. Being a relatively small hotel, it was very personalized and not like pigs and the troth experience at some of the other hotels. The meats are freshly cut at a carving station and the sushi is freshly made. They provide kiddish wine, a kiddish cup and challah.
The Saturday morning breakfast is open until noon (they actually don't chase you at at noon like some other hotel) and as such it is perfect for Shabbat lunch. Even though it is Shabbat they have plenty of warm options which are kept warm on a "blech". In fact, the shaksuka that I had on shabbat morning was one of the best that I had in Israel.
The hotel also allowed us a late checkout until after Shabbat which was very helpful.
If you are looking for a hotel that has massive buffets with hundreds of people pushing to get as much food on their plate as they can this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a refined hotel that prioritizes customer service, nice rooms with super comfy beds, a great shower and quality vs quantity than this is the place to stay. We will be back on our next trip.

Having read some of the poor reviews for this hotel I think we must have checked into the wrong hotel. The cleanliness everywhere was impeccable.
Our welcome at reception was warm by any standards. Ron not only offered us some prosecco whilst the check in process was underway but the warmth of his welcome was special. Yes he followed up with wine and choccies delivered to our room but actually his welcome was more important. Just to make clear we had a standard room with no upgrade or special deal etc., just the regular.
The room was spacious, well designed and the bathroom with WC,shower and tub was well equipped. The room and balcony similarly well designed and lovely linens on the bed.. altogether a five star experience.
Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of high quality ingredients. The fresh juice was fresh and the smoked salmon was top quality. Again the meal was great because of the range but was enhanced by ample staff keen to help and make it a relaxing experience.
The poolside area was good but there seemed to be a lack of loungers that were safely in storage near the pool. Perhaps Corona was responsible.
The evening meal was interesting and probably very Israeli. It was an unusual combination of an informal setting, no dress requirements seemed demanded but the food was the closest to fine dining we have enjoyed in many months

luxury hotel in almost every step but some minor touches / attention were missing to make it a real excellent one.
pros:
huge spacious rooms with huge spacious bathroom
balcony overlooking to sea
location and view (3-4 min walk to the beach)
great service
weekend breakfast is till 12pm.
pool serve free bottled water
covid-19 regulation were well kept
cons (and again, all relatively minor but things you'd expect at the Ritz):
no real blackout curtains (manual curtains with some light coming in at sunshine).
no central electric power near the bed (there's one and it requires getting out of bed).
except shampoo, shower gel and conditioner - no amenities at all.
no night bed turn down

Visited the hotel Sunday to Tuesday.
Reception services very poor, we received the room 35 minutes late, Reception personnel didn't make any effort to update us about the delay
Public area cleanliness very poor, corridors not cleand all of our stay
Room serviced only once a day, no shower caps, on second day amenities were not supplied
No minibar in room
Very good dinner at Herbert Samuel restaurant
In my opinion this hotel doesn't stand up as a 5* hotel
Very unsatisfied, very high price very low value for money.
What a pity

The Ritz Carlton is a Luxury hotel on the Marina in Herzliya. The accommodations were excellent, service and attentiveness of the staff, outstanding and the concern for our health during Corona times was paramount. Due to the difficult times for hotels a very reasonable deal was available for this luxury setting. Breakfast on the outdoor veranda overlooking the Marina was plentiful and delicious.

Regardless of how enjoyable my stay was, I very, very rarely write a review. So… If I am writing one now you can only imagine how over the top my recent experience at the Ritz Carlton was.
Their attention to detail and guest satisfaction surpasses almost every other hotel I've stayed. It all began a few days before our stay when I got a message that the hotel is awaiting our arrival and would like to know if we celebrating anything special. I mentioned that we will be at the hotel for a special birthday of my wife. Shortly after that, Amir, the director of guest relations, was in contact with me to make sure our stay was more than memorable. Amir and his staff sent a specially made dessert of my wife's favorites along with champagne, gifts, balloons and a personalized birthday card. Simply over the top!
As a Platinum Elite, I received a beautiful room overlooking the marina and the benefits I was entitled to without having to ask for them. (It is time for corporate Marriott to streamline the benefits though across the chain).
The room was incredibly well maintained and super clean. Excellent beds and plenty of storage room. Usually small things wrong in the room seem to jump out at me. I couldn't find any area for improvement. Hotel staff members who we encountered were friendly, cordial, and showed genuine appreciation that we choose their property for our stay.
Two small things… I found the location of the elevators hidden (maybe intestinally?) and their location not as intuitive as in most hotels. Also, the access hallway from the marina to the elevator felt industrial and not like I would have expected from Ritz Carlton.
In short, WELL DONE! We can't wait to visit again.

to start with arriving to the hotel, our driver dropped us off at the entrance, there was a security guard inside, i asked him if there is a bellboy to help with luggage, he said the bellboy is upstairs, and stood by watching as we loaded our luggage and took it to the elevator without offering a hand or being helpful in any way, i was very surprised for a Ritz brand to have a employee get such a lack of training. The rooms which are very nice, and have a balcony with great view of the marina, haven't changed in the last few years, [besides for wear and tear, wall needed paint from scuff marks, furniture was worn and chipped, deck slats were opening up and some broken, toilet paper holder loose from wall, etc, nothing a small maintenance cant repair, but a shame that its not being taken care the way it should as it will eventually need major work, I do have pictures of the above]. food in Herbert Samuel is very good, room service is not major, the food wasn't hot when delivered. also after 11pm there is no more option of having room service bring food. the spa is very relaxing, the massages great. the pool is rooftop and gets very crowded, there was some people talking so loud the entire day we couldn't nap, or read. water was cold, and service was slow. at checkout we requested 1 hour late checkout and they didn't accommodate. We didn't feel the service compared to other Ritz locations, but nothing that couldn't be corrected if there is interest from GM. To summarize, this is a really nice hotel in a nice location, but management needs to step up their game, otherwise in a few years they will lose many clients. It is the small things that make a hotel excel.

It was first class from the moment we arrived. The desk staff were so nice and it was incredible to deal with them. Being a gold member they upgraded us to an executive suite. Gorgeous. The porch was off the marina. The accommodations were superb. A little while after checking in we were asked if we needed water, towels or anything. Never happened to us anywhere else. We didn’t go swimming but the pool and pool area were beautiful. We sat out there for a while. Quiet and very relaxing. We took advantage of the spa and both enjoyed it very much.
We needed to relax and this was the place! Sorry we went for only one night. Next time it’ll be more.

We booked this hotel on points for a delayed honeymoon and 50th birthday. We knew Herzliya was a nice quiet neighbourhood and were looking forward to some R&R. This hotel did not disappoint. From the check in agents at the front desk who smiled and said hello to us (genuinely) every time we walked by to the lovely waiters and waitresses at the restaurant...this hotel did not leave anything out. Our room was very large and clean and the balcony was quite nice as well with a little table and chairs and a view of the beach.
I have a food allergy and the entire staff at the restaurant knew in advance and were ready to help with every meal we ate the restaurant as well as the roof top pool. This was really helpful and appreciated,
What stood out however was the Manager of Guest Relations named Orit and her Concierge Itzik. I had emailed a couple of weeks in advance to ask a question and both of them asked to connect with me on WhatsApp and messaged me with various updates over the next few weeks. When we had to unfortunately delay a further 2 weeks due to Covid, they reworked their reservations to accommodate our plans. Further, Itzik followed our entire trip and helped us with details even after we had checked out. He arranged for cars from different hotels that had nothing to do with his and arranged both the entry pick and the exit pick up. He even helped us locate a medical supply we needed for a CPAP machine we needed 3 days after we checked out in a different city when our useless concierge at the new hotel could not be bothered to help in Jerusalem (an hour and a half away).
Orit checked in with us almost every day to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and even gave us a lovely box of chocolates. If she is one of the leaders, it's no surprise that the staff all seem happy and helpful.
If I had to come up with anything negative (and its barely that); the channel selection on the TVs is not great.
To be clear...we are not any kind of VIP clients and did not expect any of this. I think it's just how they treat all their guests because everyone at this hotel seemed happy.
We did book on points so I'm not 100% sure how much these rooms are per night but they probably aren't cheap. Trust me...worth it,

It's rare that I comment on hotels. Because I (used to) travel a lot before the pandemic I have accrued status and points with a few hotel chains. Most of my hotel stays are fine, not remarkable one way or the other. Most of the time I write about them, its because of something really bad either in cleanliness, service, or the overall experience.
Not this time. My wife and I went away to the Ritz Carlton Herzliya for a long overdue weekend away. The hotel is beautiful, the staff was always peasant accommodating from the pool to the dining room (shout out to Irena who was especially thoughtful), and the overall ambiance could not have been nicer. It's nice to see the hotel with such high occupancy after the tourism industry in Israel was so badly devastated.
Overall, a great experience. Despite being as brief as it was, its not one of those vacations that I feel that I need to have a vacation from, or that it was so long ago I forgot it. It was great and I'll be back, and recommend to others for sure.

Its about 20 minutes ride. Not sure about shuttle...
We were a family of 6 so we rented a van, so I don't think the fare would be comparable.
Cabs are plentiful at the airport.
The hotel has a superb concierge service so I wouldn't hesitate about contacting them directly with any questions.
yes. may require fee.
No Itisn't
Kids pool on the roof is fine for young ones. You are spoilt for choice of restaurants around the marina, just steps from the hotel. Beach is beautiful, about a 100 yards from hotel. we were taken to it by golf buggy, and phoned when we wanted to come back and the buggy came to collect us. The service was the best we've had in Israel.
