Business Hotel with no iron also a bit disappointing - there is an ironing room on each floor but hey ....
Some parts of the rooms were very dirty and stained.
Although it was off season and the occupancy was low, I was given a room next to an occupied room with a noisy couple and everything could be heard through the thin wall...
This hotel is a trap for business travelers which don't intend to come back anyway. But the rates are very high and totally unjustified.
Stayed at this hotel on business for 1 night… I then moved to another hotel in the area as not prepared to remain at the Benjamin.
Check in was uneventful. I was given the key and went to the room to find it was filthy. The sheets had not been changed.. hairs in the bed.. the toilet was dirty.. and the shower had not been cleaned. There were hairs in the drain.
Immediately I returned to reception who dismissed the condition of the room, and insisted it had been cleaned.
After an argument and demanding that a manager view the room I was eventually given another room. No apology or acknowledgement of being given a dirty room.
Make no mistake it was not that the room Had not been serviced.. as far as the management were concerned it was clean… it most certainly was not.
The next morning at breakfast I noticed flies in the salad vegetables.
Again no apology.
This hotel is not fit for purpose and should have it’s licence revoked.
I was booked to stay for 5 nights and checked out after 1.
There are other hotels in the area…stay at one of them..
DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR…
When we arrived in the evening, we had forgotten our French passports and the little blue ticket in Jerusalem to avoid paying the tax.
The very friendly young girl at the reception told us that it would be possible to regularize the situation afterwards.
Being in Herzlia again the following week, I brought the missing documents and photocopies and there I was received by the front office manager (Mr. Isaac?) who told me that I could be reimbursed at the airport for what I doubt. (with good reason since the tax free office refused me any reimbursement).
While I ask this Mr. Isaac to meet a manager to confirm his statements, he refuses to call anyone and asks me to leave the premises. He will even claim that I insulted him which is completely false.
This mishap cost me 300 ILS and it is obvious that I will not return to this hotel again
Damage.
The hotel is completely new, opened this month in the middle of Herzliya business and Hi-Tech center. It`s a walking distance to the beach, and only 2 min walk to Herzliya outlet mall which is an open mall with lots of great outlet stores (clothes, shoes etc.).
The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, with cutting edge touches. everything is new and simple and was easy to handle - no complications.
We really appreciated the soundproof windows since it`s usually hard for us to sleep with city sounds, and the best thing there is the little niche under the window, with a mattress, so you can sit and look at the ocean or just rest there for a while.
The dining room wasn`t opened yet when we stayed there so as part of our B&B we could eat breakfast at a restaurant across the street called "Nafis" - very cool place with lots of different kinds of food and open 24h so we could come and eat whenever we liked.
The staff was really accommodating and polite and helped us with whatever we needed.
Wi-Fi in the rooms and lobby is very fast and convenient (and free!!), and we could also sit in the lobby with the laptop and charge it there (lots of outlet all around) or outside on the patio.
Bottom-line - a great hotel with a good value for your money, very recommended.
"The hotel policy and breakfast service time did not allow us to have breakfast. Big Bummer! felt cheated"Read full review
