The rooms themselves were just barely passable. The hotel as a whole was filthy and quite disgusting. The building, which appears to be several decades old, is completely dilapidated. Our reservation came with breakfast - we later came to regret this, as the miserable excuse for food that was served was utterly inedible. The staff was apathetic and generally unhelpful.

I have no words to describe how grossed out we were from this hotel. We were a large group here for a weekend family celebration nearby. When we arrived and saw the state of the building and the rooms, which haven't been touch since what must be 1955, we tried to change to another hotel. Unfortunately the neighboring hotel was... The room was decent, but it didn't have any outlets to charge items and the air conditioning didn't work very well. The wifi was terrible and wasn't strong enough to upload pictures or visit a web page. The food in the dining area was not good at all. Do not eat there. The views of the Mediterranean were outstanding.

Everything about this hotel from the step I took into it to the step I took out was utterly revolting and set a new low for the area. The hotel has not been cleaned properly or renovated since the 70s and there are cockroaches crawling in and out of ceilings. The rooms were damp and there was mould growing in and... More

Tired hotel that probably was at its prime in the 1980's. The only saving grace was the view and roar of the waves at night. Clean enough but falling apart at the seams. Had to put the quilt in the closet as it stank so badly of air freshener. Not much else to say.

I've stayed in Galil a few years ago, but as I see from the commentaries, nothing has changed. Nothing at all. The furniture in the rooms is not old, it is ancient. As well as in the bathroom. So much dirt and dust i've neither seen before nor later, thanks God! Such unprofessional personal also. About restaurant...i'very been unhappy to... More

The balcony room overlooking the sea was great, letting the sound of the waves rock us to sleep. The hotel was full of students, but was quiet. Bathroom was a little old with a few things not perfect, but nothing serious.

I hate reviewing hotels badly, especially in Israel because I encourage people to visit this beautiful country. However, my experience at the Galil Hotel was horrendous. The a/c wasn't working in my room and after many pleas to have the hotel fix it or transfer us to another room, they tried to convince me it was working and when I... More

Hopefully the rest of our vacation will be nicer but for first impressions, wow. Good thing it's only one night. This place is a dump. The heating ducts filth with black dirt, the bathroom floor had something all over it. Wallpaper coming off the wall. Run down, bad 1970s hotel. So miserable couldn't sleep. Can't wait to get out of... More
