You could be forgiven for thinking you had stumbled into the wrong place having booked hostel accommodation. Poriya Hostel offers a beautifully designed building maximising the view over the Kinneret. Floor to ceiling glass in the entrance and lounge area, gives one the feeling that one is up in the clouds, overlooking the beauitful landscape. The staff and level of...

Israeli youth hostels are far nicer than the name might suggest. Poriya has a stunning, modern curved lobby. Rooms are cleverly designed with numerous optional extra bunk beds that can accommodate families or groups of various sizes. Outside the rooms are balconies next to tree canopies, with striking views of the Kinneret in the distance. The site is a little...

We had a family getaway (5 adults and 6 kids) over the last weekend. The Hostel is a great bang for your buck with clean rooms, good food and amazing views of the Kinneret. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We stayed at one of the wood cabins they have which was cozy, comfortable, clean and had some great view of the Kinneret. The cabin has a separate room for the parents, a shower, toilets and a common room that has a 2 story bunk bed with an extra bed that can be opened from beneath. The dining room was...

As at least one other reviewer has stated, this is more a hotel than a hostel. We were here over Shabbat (the Sabbath) with a group of friends. The main building complex has guest rooms on several levels (with elevator service), and there are also private cabins for families. The lobby is spacious, with comfortable places to sit. Our room...

I agree with other reviewers, this is more of a hotel that offers some rooms with shared accommodation than a hostel. It's located high up on the ridge overlooking the Kinneret/Sea of Galilee with gorgeous views. It might be a little difficult to find due to its location but I was able to find it without any trouble using the...

The room comfortably accommodates 4/5 persons, cleaning service is ok . It is very very close to very known hiking places and from the rooms you will be able to see the kineret lake ( also called the sea of galille). You pay the price of an expensive hostel and get a 3 star hotel, the only bad, but I...

We stayed here with a group of couples and the facilities were wonderful. The hotel grounds and our room were very clean. We stayed in one of the cabins. There was a small refrigerator in the room and an electric kettle to boil water along with little packets of coffee, tea and sugar. The view of the sea and surrounding...

I stayed there with a group during our Taglit/Birthright trip just a week ago. And seriously, when we entered the lobby I was like "are you sure that's the right address, it looks like some kind of a resort!" The hostel is rather new, extremely well-decorated and well-planned. The food is wonderful, and the staff nice and helpful. I think...
