finding a right place to stay can be a pain in the neck, but getting to anuncomfortable one, can be even worse, that's why i would recommend you "aviv", after getting there in the late night hour's i got my reservation done by the one of a kind freindly and kindly lady at the front desk named "malke", it may not be the most luxury hotel i have seen but the calmness and homely atmosphere is surely worth it every dollar! instead of fancy painting's they have big clean rooms with a little kitchen big bed's, a large nice closet, a porch, with a beauiyful view and nice chairs and really great service! if i'll once again be in tiberais, i will absolutly take again "aviv"!!and i highly recommend you to do the same!!

The TV worked but no channel and the remote was almost dad. No light in the main room, just on the wall. As I just had it for sleeping and left very early I did not ask the reception to fix those. Not much electric sockets to charge my devices. When I came back on the evening to my room, I came across a big black spider in the hallway, not really pleasant. Location was excellent, Bed was comfortable and clean and there where hot water at the bathroom. better.

We went for only 2 nights to Kineret lake after our first night we needed to move to another hotel so we move to Hotel Aviv in Tiberias it was the only one with a reasonable price in a rush Although they were very nice staff as we got there they upgraded us to a bigger room The room is old ,I started checking the beds, the five of them where with dirty sheets full of other people hair(not all of it from the head) at the feet ,after our first experience in the previous hotel I asked them to change them in front of me.... The bathroom was with mold,I didn't have the patience to ask again to clean...the breakfast its not in the building you have to go to another associated hotel to eat That is the standard for 175$

The rooms are large and have a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and balcony. The room was not clean at all, cobwebs all over the ceilings and corners. We didnt get batteries for the AC remote so we had to swap with the TV remote. The only benefit is that its a 2min walking distance from the sea.

Entrance was situated on the backside of the hotel, proper where trash was abundant. The room was comfortable, but appeared to need an upgrade. Sleep was interrupted by the neighbors next door, being that the walls seems thin. The view was sold as a beach-side view, which also included a cemetery and an empty lot. On a positive note, it had an adequate kitchen (no coffee pot), but the fridge (we think) hummed 24/7. The breakfast buffet was very good - not the most aesthetically pleasing - but it had a lot of local foods that we were looking forward to trying. The hotel was a short walk to the center of the old town and shopping and parking was available at no cost.

On trip advisor this is listed as a hotel, but when you book it takes you to booking.com and it suddenly becomes a hostel without noticing the change. We reserved this "hotel", and when we arrived and realized it was a hostel We felt cheated. There is Aviv Hotel next door owned by the same people, but it is named Aviv Holiday Flat on TripAdvisor. We asked to be switched and the owner allowed us to switch for the same $155 price we were paying for the HOSTEL. We were told we could get breakfast for $12 per person which we declined. As The Aviv Holiday Flat was clean and comfortable, we booked another night. Checking Tripadvisor we saw the price was $157 for the night including breakfast. I believe we were scammed with the first night placing us in the hostel and trying to charge $12 per person for breakfast.

The hostel is close to the city and bay walk. It's a 3 star hotel, but if you want to come and go out to different activities so it's the perfect place to stay at. Cheap and perfect. Great AC, TV, Mini bar, bathtub, twin bed or single beds. Some rooms you can have 5 people in it. Cribs for baby's, elevator, small kitchen on the 2nd floor, nice clerks, parking.

I stayed here for 16 nights and loved every minute of it,it's a short walk to the main areas of Tiberius, restaurants, shops and transport etc. Roy the manager was excellent in his service, advice and general hospitality. The room was cleaned daily and spotless, the wifi was strong and consistent, the staff members were friendly and helpful, the breakfast at Emily's ( next door) was a full buffet with plenty of variety and one of the best I had of 4 weeks in Israel.

Hotel Aviv would be...okey in the backpackers arena...had there not been for the weird behaving rude people working in it. Scratched bathtub that has not been changed since 1970s? Okey. Cupboard falling apart? Who cares for one or two nights. But a weirdo at the reception who treats a parent with small kids like a babk robber who intends to sleep in his hotel in secret? Who lays on his coach and does not bother at least sit up while talking to a guest? And other stuff like that. All in all, it is survivable, affordable but dont expect anything more. Especially not hospitality. Which on a hotel...is kinda strange.
