Caters to large tour groups. Registration was hectic. Buffet breakfast lacked some basic food groups like fresh fruit. Elevators are dangerous and I have the bruises to verify that. The door close far too quickly. Bar staff was friendly. Not likely to return.
We chose this hotel based on its 4 star average reviews on TripAdvisor. It beats me how it went past a single star. Here's why: Location: while the location is decent, the hotel is flanked by dilapidated buildings, giving it a depressing vibe. The "parking lot" is a small dirt lot that can maybe fit 15 cars. Plan on parking on the street for 24 NIS per day, and be aggressive in looking for a spot. Lobby- small and always crowded. Not much to say here. Elevators: truly scary. There is a keypad for choosing the desired floor so supposedly you pick your foor in the lobby and the elevator takes you there. We experienced several ghost stops at various floors, with no rhyme or reason. The elevator cars were filthy with water puddles on the floor dripping off people returning from the pool without drying themselves with a towel. Room: was disgusting, and it had clearly not been cleaned properly before our arrival. It had a strong cigarette smoke smell (particularly the sheets- yuck) and we found someone else's hair follicles stuck in the shower. Double yuck. Overall the room looked dated and worn out. Service; this is the worst part. The staff were clearly overwhelmed and completely indifferent to meeting the customers' needs. Overall this is a supposedly mid tier hotel with some pretense of service. It is in fact a low end tenement that should be avoided at all cost.…
Well-located in a quite neighborhood. Nice public areas that are a bit outdated. good sized guest room with a clean bathroom. Good shower and water pressure. Comfortable bed. The room had both a safe and refrigerator. We had nice views of the Sea of Galilee. Breakfast was extensive but the least interesting we had in Israel. No fresh egg station and staff ignored us even though there were very few people in the room.
The lack of maintenance is visible throughout, the rooms are dated in design and amenity. Food is, well world renowned kosher cuisine... Bland. No butter for dinner even for the gentiles. Omelets for breakfast are not what you would get from the Waffle House, they are typically overcooked and not worth eating.
We arrived Friday afternoon, and make check in. We get a large room with a beautiful view to the Cineret lake. Everything was just fine , clean and suitable. We have there dinner and breakfast, the menu was reach , fresh and delicious. The stuff was very helpful , professional and welcoming. We recommend this hotel for a stay in Tiberias.
Extremely severe level of cleanliness. Life-threatening. Garbage is in the hallways in severe weather conditions, many hours. The cleanliness of the rooms is deficient. Dust and dirt everywhere. In addition, the level of customer service is below all criticism. This is in addition to the fact that parking near the hotel will cost you $ 10 per day! A disappointing, outdated hotel, lacking modern management and mostly zero value for money. It is recommended not to be hosted.
This place is a disgrace! Let's begin with arriving, parking. This hotel had 2 small parking areas. One of them they converted into a pool. A pool is nice to have of course, but when it is on the account of your parking, less nice. So now it has one very small parking lot which is a parking mess and somehow it serves as a dumpster. It is FULL of trash! All over the parking. Due to the amount of cars, the original drive-in from the road is blocked by parking cars, so you have to climb your car over the sidewalk to get to the parking. Then the valet told me to park on a parking with sign "no parking here" i had to leave the car with worries I'll get a fine. Not a good way to begin a vacation. Then when we entered the hotel, completely broken signs "no parking" welcomed us. very ugly. In the hotel the receptionist lady was exausted. she wasn't welcoming us politely. Then she asked to pay up-front. It is weird. You always pay at check-out, not check-in. Then she asked that the price we got at Hotel's website excludes VAT. so at the check-in, we discovered we have to pay 17% more. More disappointing things. Then we took the lift. It was something between ugly and scary. It misses parts and buttons. Everything is over-rubbed and over-used. Then we entered the floor. The carpet is disgusting! it looks like it is 50 years old and has never been cleaned. I've seen carpets from the 16th century look better. Once more, disgusting. Then we entered the room. It had crumbs all over it. We found plastic cups and empty snacks!!! how blind can the cleaning staff be?! The room had a working table, but for some reason it had no chair. So I couldn't use it to work on my laptop properly. The walls don't look cosy. With the simplest texture. Doesn't add to the home-feeling. The only good thing about the room is that the bathroom is renovated and you have a big TV. The air conditioner vent was filthy with black moistured dust accumulated there for years I guess. Due to COVID-19, the receptionist told us that we should get a schedule for breakfast and choose what timeslot we want to go. That schedule never came. I had to get down to the reception to ask several times for the schedule, lastly to get it from her. Next day, Saturday, we went to the breakfast. Some of the food looked not fresh. The cheese cake was stiff, like it was prepared a week ago. The coffe was worse than I had in the army. The lobby is a small area and you can't really rest there because it is the passage between the pool and the hotel. and even when I began to think to rest there, they turned it into a synagogue. After our stay we began to highly doubt the 5 star reviews, BEWARE!…
I asked for a receipt on check out but was told that the printer was not working and they would email it. I requested twice by email for it but heard nothing. Once I got home I checked my credit card to find I was over charged by close to $400 I have contacted them twice but no response. The hotel caters to bus tours so breakfast if extremely busy and the buffet breakfast is man handled by a lot of people so if you don't mind people touching your food before you eat then this is the place for you. The hotel is surrounded by rundown abandoned buildings
this is a good hotel, our room was clean and comfortable and with a view of the Sea of Galilee. the food was good (buffet style) with plenty of choice, even for a fussy eater as I am. Location was very good.
Hotel is more of a motel.... air doesn’t work, bathtub doesn’t drain, breakfast is like a free for all with everyone grabbing everything with horrible manners and not a server to be found for any seating or help with coffee, milk etc ;(. Centrally located is a plus, near the boardwalk with hospitable restaurants however if you’re calculating breakfast or dinner included prepare for disturbing chaos. I would never stay here again and I bought as a 4 star package in that I highly disagree regarding this amenity. However the group I am traveling with is amazing and that is the most important.
