The lack of maintenance is visible throughout, the rooms are dated in design and amenity. Food is, well world renowned kosher cuisine... Bland. No butter for dinner even for the gentiles. Omelets for breakfast are not what you would get from the Waffle House, they are typically overcooked and not worth eating.

Leonardo is a good hotel with descent service. It looks as if the hotel is oriented towards tourist groups, who come their primarily for overnight stays. People traveling as families may need to get their expectations in order. Our 3* rating is a reflection of this reality. Nonetheless, hotel is clean, breakfast offers multiple options, dinner buffet is reasonably good, and front desk is helpful. Overall, Leonardo is a good value for the money.

Caters to large tour groups. Registration was hectic. Buffet breakfast lacked some basic food groups like fresh fruit. Elevators are dangerous and I have the bruises to verify that. The door close far too quickly. Bar staff was friendly. Not likely to return.

Hotel is more of a motel.... air doesn’t work, bathtub doesn’t drain, breakfast is like a free for all with everyone grabbing everything with horrible manners and not a server to be found for any seating or help with coffee, milk etc ;(. Centrally located is a plus, near the boardwalk with hospitable restaurants however if you’re calculating breakfast or dinner included prepare for disturbing chaos. I would never stay here again and I bought as a 4 star package in that I highly disagree regarding this amenity. However the group I am traveling with is amazing and that is the most important.

I asked for a receipt on check out but was told that the printer was not working and they would email it. I requested twice by email for it but heard nothing. Once I got home I checked my credit card to find I was over charged by close to $400 I have contacted them twice but no response.
The hotel caters to bus tours so breakfast if extremely busy and the buffet breakfast is man handled by a lot of people so if you don't mind people touching your food before you eat then this is the place for you.
The hotel is surrounded by rundown abandoned buildings

Extremely severe level of cleanliness. Life-threatening. Garbage is in the hallways in severe weather conditions, many hours. The cleanliness of the rooms is deficient. Dust and dirt everywhere. In addition, the level of customer service is below all criticism. This is in addition to the fact that parking near the hotel will cost you $ 10 per day! A disappointing, outdated hotel, lacking modern management and mostly zero value for money. It is recommended not to be hosted.

As a veteran travelers, i was disappointed by their level of service for a chain hotel. I’ve booked a one night stay through expedia and was delivered a basic room at check in. When complained to the front desk person whom checked me in, not only was his attitude poor, he provided an unacceptable alternative solution to address the issue. Glad it was just a one night stay.

Very basic hotel. We stayed here as part of a tour group. Very crazy, disorganized arrival with no explanation of hotel facilities or elevator. You actually have to choose your floor before you enter the chosen elevator. The rooms are labeled 1300 or 1400 but that means floors 3 or 4? No explanation. The pool is open 10:00-5:00pm. Seems this is on purpose so touring groups cannot use it. The food was underwhelming and no service. No one smiles or opens a door for you. Overall very bad service. Unfortunately, seems to be the norm in Israel. Beds are very hard and my back is hurting today. Rooms are okay, large size. Shower curtains cling to you while showering which is so gross. I would never return. Area is not good either. Trash piles everywhere outside.

Stayed at this property for 4 nights during a trip to the Galilee. We were personally greeted by the general manager, who explained that a large number of displaced families from the north were currently residing at the property. It was a privilege to reside in the same hotel with them.

Rooms were clean and well maintained with stellar views from the lake facing accommodations. We needed the bed split into two singles, and that was done promptly. Any requests were handled quickly and pleasantly. Daily breakfast was robust with a wide selection of offerings. Restaurant staff were helpful, courteous, and thorough.

Special mention to Nati, the night manager, who always greeted us warmly - by name - whenever we arrived at or left the hotel and really took care of us during our stay. He, the general manager, and the rest of the staff give great credit to the Leonardo brand and to this property specifically.

As soon as we entered the front door, we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Amoon and Nati were so accommodating. They made us feel like we were the most important guests in the hotel. Every time we passed though the lobby, Amoon or Nati called us by name with a warm greeting. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was an enjoyable one.

Hi Steve, hotel has a one pool, it’s a small pool not very large, when we visited was operational but not sure at present. Hotel situated other side of the road but you can walk to the beach by crossing the road.

Answer from Thomas L

220. Israel has a converter that varies slightly from the kind used in most of Europe. Most hairdryers, tablets and phone cords will adapt to 220 volts sometimes by flipping a switch. I was able to use the two round prong converter used in Italy, France and other mainland Europe countries to charge my phone.
