If you want a "home away from home" to celebrate special occasions - Prima Galil is the address- you will have a magical experience with professional and friendly staff at your service and lovely accommodations and delicious cuisine. This is a first class hotel and has a feeling of warmth and all the amenities of home hospitality at its best. I have been celebrating my special occasion for years at the "northern home" and it is now on speed dial for future years! The view of the Kinneret is a plus also

If you are looking for a high-class hotel experience in the Tiberias area, you are not going to find it here. Even with the leaking AC, which the hotel staff took care of, my stay here was pleasant enough. Meals here are pretty basic, with one great exception. On certain nights, the hotel hosts a restaurant, Shulchan Hagalil. What a pleasant surprise. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the service was great.

I now understand why some great reviews and others are poor. We stayed here in two rooms and they gave us the second floor. First impression was hallway carpet was discussing, not just stained but like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a month. Both rooms were dirty, old, with broken bathroom doors, mirror frame that was falling down and wood rut and mold, dirty sink. My parents asked for a different room and got a room on 13th floor. New room was upgraded and modern, cleaner, no visible mold, no carpet. We asked for a different room and new room on 3rd floor was the same, smelly, dingy and dirty. Requested an upgraded room and the following day they moved us to the 9th floor that was also renovated. So your experience will greatly depend on which floor you stay in. The food and service were good.

Carpets dirty and worn. Elevator system needs overhaul as not customer friendly. furniture throughout hotel including lobby and rooms both renovated and not renovated are outdated, upholstery dirty and need to be replaced; majority of staff unfriendly, rooms on lower floors smell dank; bugs in lobby and most likely through out the hotel, definitely NOT a superior hotel; a 2 - 2+ at best. Not all staff speak Englisg.
Do yourself a favor and give it a miss

I was expecting a nice one night stay as part of my vacation. I was surprised to find the room to be disgusting. The door was open when i got there. The room smelled like bug spray, the floor was sticky, the glasses were filthy, there was hair on the floor in the bathroom and in the bedsheets. I actually was thinking of sleeping in my car. Also, the carpets in the hallway are dirty. I do not recommend this place.

The hotel is old , the roots are wiem out. The stad is very unfriendly at least one girl , No smile at all. Like she was there for the punishment.
No heating options for two nights altough it was very cold and rainy outside. No hair dryer. Unless you stand next to the window , you will get cold wind from the draughty window. Food at the restaurant was cold even shortly after opening . Highly not recommend

We choose Hotel Prima Galil as our “base” for a 3 day family trip in the area. The room was clean and tastful designed. From our large balcony we had a stunning view over the city.
The staff was very friendly and heplfull.
The tasty breakfast was served according the Corona restrictions.
Big thumbs up for the entire staff, as it is propably not easy to run a hotel operation in these “challenging” times.

The highlight of this hotel a the outdoor swimming pool which has an amazing view over the Sea of Galilee and also a nice outdoor seating area. The hotel is twenty minutes walk down a steep hill to the waterfront. The breakfast buffet was substantial with an excellent variety. The only downside was there were no coat hangers or towel rails in the bathroom meaning there was nowhere to hang your wet swimsuits.

We stayed at Prima Galil hotel for 2 nights during our winter break. The hotel was clean, easy to find, good breakfast but not substantial as in our Jerusalem hotel, and check-in was a breeze. We were able to catch the bus for Tel Aviv from a bus stop close to the hotel. The only down side for us was a long steep walk from the bus station. But this is on us. I highly recommend taking a taxi from the bus station to the hotel. Vice versa is not that bad as you are going downhill.
