The spa is so-so but, the food and restaurant staff excellent. The rooms are clean and well kept. The hot tub needs cleaning and there is no soap or shampoo in the locker rooms. Otherwise- nice hotel!

We chose the recently renovated Galei Kinneret as a special birthday treat. I've stayed there before and enjoyed the fabulous location directly on the Kinneret and the lovely spa. This time, I was slightly disappointed by the room, which was nice, but not for the exorbitant price--even midweek, early March downtime. The balcony is not private; there's no privacy screen or any barrier between the balconies. Bathroom is nicely furbished, but as in most Israeli hotels without a tub, the shower water runs all over the floor. Water pressure is GREAT, however. Breakfast is fabulous, a cut above other Israeli hotel breakfasts, and can be taken at a table overlooking the lake. We booked our special birthday dinner at the new chef restaurant of the hotel, Lotte, thinking it would be a quiet intimate experience. In fact, the restaurant is actually the same breakfast space with terrible acoustics. Service was great, but despite having written in the reservation and speaking to staff during the day, nothing special was offered for the birthday. The dinner menu is terrific, original and super tasty. Kosher dining at its very best. Service in the lobby bar was slow, but the views made up for it. The remodel of the outside space/poolside/lakeside is beautiful. An array of comfortable chaise lounges and chairs and creative use of lighting and palm trees made this a lovely place to hang out before dinner. Spa services are very good, but very expensive.

While other hotels in Israel reduced their service after the corona disaster, Galei Kinnereth Updated and improved all its facilities.
Our room, on this visit, was the least expensive at the hotel, yet, it was large and comfortable and extremely clean. Extra gifts waited for us in the room and more arrived during our one-night stay. The service at the front desk was delightfully full of smiles on the young clerks' faces and one even recognized us. Our main destination - the 'waterfall" in the spa, was clean, with the right temperature and with a clean supply of towels. At 5 pm we were taught by a second-year student of wineries about local wines while tasting some wine and cheese; surprisingly it was an informative and interesting hour even though I don't drink alcohol. The restaurant for supper had a fun atmosphere with great entertainment by the chef and his crew and later on by a couple of young artists. We were very impressed by the symphony of colours, the explosion of various new tastes and the excellent service by the waitresses. We were delighted to receive that same service again at breakfast, with excellent food at our disposal. A short visit that relaxed us, satisfied us and provided all the special ingredients one needs while away from daily pressure. We'll be back!

For many years we have tried to find a hotel on the Sea of Galilee that is comfortable and can offer a menu that caters to the international traveler. Tiberias has become the destination of choice for Haredim Israelis looking to vacation on a budget, so this has become rather difficult. In years past, for example, we learned to avoid horrors such as the Leonardo properties. We thought we found the solution in a fairly new hotel called Galei Kinnereth. The rooms, though pricey ($400) were fairly comfortable with good beds and soft pillows. The bathroom was likewise generous with a comfortable marble shower stall. The problem was the food. The breakfast buffet was entirely geared to Israeli taste; with my special dietary needs, I couldn’t eat a single thing. In fact, we had to drive to a supermarket and stock up on sandwich bread, jam, bananas and other simple staples that for some mysterious reason the hotel was not able to provide. The evening menu was so outrageously priced ($50+ for a simple fish entree) that we chose to eat each night along the harbor front, at an excellent fish restaurant that served wonderful fish at half the price. For that reason, we cannot recommend the Galei Kinnereth.

The hotel is nicely laid out with an impressive view of the Kinneret. The outside area is very comfortable and newly refurbished with white seating and the pool chairs are comfortable. BUT it is impossible to relax because the hotel insist on playing pumping music through speakers which are placed all over the outside area. There is no escape. After some protests I managed to get them to turn down the volume to an acceptable level only to hear it get louder a little later. The hotel management clearly are not interested in having a peaceful area to sit by the pool and feel that it encourages people to buy more drinks if they make it more like a night club. Money of course talks.
We had a lovely room called Kinneret Room with balcony on floor three . Views over the Kinneret were great and the room is nicely done, quite large with a large comfortable bed, large wardrobes, air con and ceiling fan. Beautiful BUT…. You cannot sit out on the balcony because the noise of the music coming from the beach area to the left of the hotel is sometimes just outrageous. We can even hear it in the room with the doors closed. The hotel, of course, have no authority over this area outside the hotel ground so you have to shrug your shoulders and say “welcome to Israel”. The shower is nice BUT the temperature keeps changing so it makes it a little harder to fully enjoy.
We did not eat in the restaurant at night. It was no doubt lovely food BUT not only is it very very expensive, it is also very very noisy.
We did however enjoy a very well prepared breakfast with lots to enjoy. You won’t leave hungry. They try to make it feel exclusive BUT in true Israel style they managed to screw it up when this morning they had people running back and forth taking things out and bringing things in through the restaurant for a conference they were putting on. We just laughed. You have to really.
I could name other small things like the magnetic keys to open the bedroom door not working half the time so off we trudge to reception to get the keys remade. Three times yesterday we did that. You would think that they would send an engineer to check what is wrong BUT a shoulder shrug will do.
We tried to overlook the issues and we did enjoy ourselves and for Israel it is a nice hotel BUT not equal overall to a European 5 star. I doubt we will return mainly because there is no way to relax in peace and quiet around the pool area. By the way, I have Apple noise cancelling earphones but they were unable to cancel out their pumping “music”. Oh well, you live and learn. You could do a lot worse than to come here but if you want something peaceful and restful then this is not the place for you.

Nothing about the hotel is luxury. Very unprofessional, food portions are bad, room was full of misquitoes, and when my wife came to pick me up, they didn't allow her to drive into parking lot to pick me up. They let a woman with a 3 year old girl in the car just sit on the road as I got my luggage and walked all the way to her. Even after I explained that it was pick up only they were very adamant against kids coming in.
Also dinner was planned for 6 and when we got to the resturant they decided that they want to feed us at 7 and we had to argue with them until they agreed to feed us at 6:30. All around my worst experience at a hotel period and I'm a tour guide who sleeps in hotels for a living.

Dear Alfred, Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback! We are sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your stay with us. I understand that you were frustrated because we couldn’t allow your 3 year old daughter to come and stay with you in the hotel. this is our policy, entrance to the hotel is from ages 16 and up. I very much hope that despite the inconvenience you will still consider staying with us in the future. Best regards, Odelia Abraham Guest relations Manager

I would stay away from the beautiful property.
Their customer service is terrible.
Our fan was broken and we contacted them twice and nothing was done. Our AC temperature couldn’t be lowered, we couldn’t open the balcony doors as insects would fly in.
They offer pastries and drinks as room service, when you call to order it, it is not available. They charge to use their jacuzzi as a guest, unless if you are staying in one of their suites.
Food was hard to get, if you don’t reserve a table you are out of luck with no option to eat, other than eating at their lobby lounge in which they only allow dairy. I would expect from a hotel with a restaurant attach, to offer options for people visiting who don’t observe their traditions, as many people from other races and cultures visit this area. The hotel should be disclosing the fact that they are not accommodating hungry clients eating outside of their tradition scheduled. It is closed minded way of thinking. Accommodating should the first way of handling clients. We don’t offer non dairy meals at the lobby and the restaurant is fully booked but we can send a plate of food, sandwiches to your room. You can order from this restaurant or we have vending machines, nothing, we just received looks .

This Hotel has a great potential :
A) The location of the hotel on the lake's shore is great and special
B) The premises of the hotel are great and were renewed as Israel Canada rented the on a long term period
It s a high class hotel
C) The hotel staff is very professionnal and cares in every matter .
But the great disadvantage of this resort :
1) The hotel doesnt have restaurant service .As a separate service there is the Chef Restaurant Lotte whose location is in the hotel managed by the well known Israeli Chef Assaf Granit when it s open also for outside guests . As a matter of fact it could be that as

taurant is full and so you should stay without dinner as it happened to us .It cant be that as a guest of this hotel you dont have the possibility to dinner at he hotel .
As we spend 2 nights at the hotel we were told that the restaurant was full on thursday night and there is no chance to get a table .
This matter is incedible .

I am in the hotel as I write this review , I leave in Israel now and came with a colleague from the state .
This hotel is not cheap so I thought I will be safe taking him here .
Big mistake .
Yesterday we got here at around 3 and went to pool .
No service I was told no servers ,no food they closed the bar food , no one to talk to .they should basically change there name to “No”
No coffee was told because of kosher issue but what about black coffee .
The ceiling fan in the room is making a clicking sound but without it room very hot A/c can’t handle the heat . Ask to do something but nothing was done .
They also have a movement sensor in room so when you are not in the room air condition stops working , the problem with that is that you return to a hot room with a weak air condition and you sweat for an hour in the room till it gets better I just wish I could sleep with a ceiling fan that make clicking noise .

My wife and I stayed at Galei Kineret for a few days. Even before we arrived, the wonderful and friendly guest relations manager Odelia, whatsapped us to inquire if we would need anything before we arrived.
Upon arrival and throughout our stay, there were ice cold drinks and snacks at reception.
The lobby is beautiful and very smartly decorated.
We had a magnificent suite with complimentary beverages and coffee, as well as a beautiful welcome gift, and a fresh fruit platter in our suite. Our suite had a huge bathroom, as well as an extra powder room.
Our suite had magnificent views of Lake Kinneret, as well as a large terrace overlooking the pool.
The pool was beautiful, and the pool area was very roomy and had fabulous comfortable lounge chairs. As well, the pool area had a great vibe, and great English music playing all day.
We ordered burgers and salad at the pool bar and the food was delicious. A special shout out to our servers Adele and Chen.
Breakfast was amazing with special breakfast items created by the chef. Special thanks and a shout out to our wonderful server Dor.
