Whilst some staff appear to care about customers, others are surly and unhelpful. The hotel was generally disappointing. My room was quite dirty when I arrived, there were food remnants on the carpet and thick dust on the bedside table. The general appearance of the rooms is poor. They are dark and tired with scuffs on the walls and dirty grouting and ceilings in the bathroom. The overhead shower didn't work. A staff member entered my room abruptly in the afternoon. The reason for this was unclear and left me feeling uncomfortable about security in the hotel. The restaurant was reasonable but mostly buffet service with little hot food. There was noisy building work taking place while I visited. Combined with the lack of internet access in my bedroom and very strong perfume smell in the lobby, working in the lobby area left me with a headache. I will not come back here.

Stayed 1 night only (that was enough) on a group tour through Isreal. My room was worn out, tiny with dirty carpet, drapes and a bathroom no bigger than a closet. It was uncomfortable and definitely not 3 star hotel in my opinion. Tiny elevators that make checking in and out extremely difficult and stressful. Breakfast buffet was waste of time as nothing looked appealing or fresh. :( -

This is basically a tour hotel and fulfils that purpose well. It is modern and has great views of the Sea of Galilee. Indeed there is an attractive swimming pool overlooking the sea but this was not being used when we were there. The hotel is away from the centre of town and the holiday areas so there is not much nearby apart from offices and a few shops. The inside is functional with the lobby often filled with suitcases. Staff are not particularly helpful. There is a bland bar which is certainly not the place for a romantic drink but fine to meet friends. Our room was downstairs but still with good views over the water. It was comfortable and large with a small bathroom, in black, and cheap toiletries. The bed gave us a good night's sleep. Food was taken in a large buffet restaurant and was the usual Middle Eastern fare with mixed fresh salad starters and hummus followed by an uninspiring meat course. Maybe not the place for a couple to stay but if you are out all day on pilgrimage with others then this is a good base.

Well it is a great view if your room is located on the proper side of hotel - otherwise not so much. Shower was tiny and uncomfortable. Breakfast and dinner buffets not too exciting, although plenty of food. Overall a 3star experience. Would return again.

We stayed in this hotel with my friend for 2 days and it’s wasn’t a pleasant experience. Hotel staff thinks it’s totally okay to tell you the wrong information so you would book a room and come and they don’t care for your experience at all. We checked in advance about the hotel spa - what will be available for us and got a reply that spa services are free for hotel guests. However, they forgot to mention that all spa is closed due to the corona and only the pool outside is open. Noone ever smiled or wished you good morning, the room had a great view over Kineret but the room itself was dirty and not very pleasant. They didn’t want to listen to us then we asked about the late check out and suggested that after check out we can spend the time near the pool and take the shower after. When we were looking for the shower we realized that it’s located in spa and spa is closed! After our question why they again provided us with the wrong information, the staff replied that it shouldn’t be a problem for us to take a shower outside near the pool and they forgot that indoor shower is closed. When I wanted to leave a feedback to the Manager of the hotel and let him know that his staff just doesn’t care about the guests and give all the wrong information, he replied that after check out we don’t have any right to stay on the territory of the hotel. And that’s it - no apologize, nothing. It looks like they only wanted your money, and as soon as they got them, they don’t care about your experience at all. I suggest that it’s not a way to treat guests especially for the price they are asking for their old rooms. I’m very unhappy about the service I got there.

We bought a package with the tour group and stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is average. It’s a bit run down. The carpets were dirty and can tell they haven’t been cleaned in awhile. The food was good but one of the guys down there overcharged us for water. He said $8 but decided to take my $10 bill and not give me my change back. I had to remind him I handed over a $10 bill. The view amazing and that was the only thing we enjoyed out of it.

Staying at Golan hotel was a very pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly, starting with Paz (Gold in Hebrew) at the reception. Rooms were very well appointed despite the fact the hotel is a little older, but nicely kept. The view from the hotel, overlooking the Sea of Galilee is breathtaking and a privilege. Moderately priced we did enjoy our 2-night stay. Definitely a place to be recommended!

The wifi was slow and didn't have a far reach to all the rooms. The dining staff was not the friendliest. Otherwise, good food and nice rooms. The view was great and we enjoyed our stay. The front desk was great.

I didn't stay at this hotel unfortunately. I stayed 700m from here further away from Tiberias.. I only stopped in for a drink. Friendly staff, clean, and a great location to be close to the old town but far enough away so that it's quite and relaxed. Regret not staying here. Highly recommend.
