Worst hotel I’ve been to in years. Room is dirty, beds and bedcovers has yellow/brown spots. Walls are worn and dirty. Toilet and shower has yellow lines- really disgusting place. Wifi is barely usable on 3rd floor. Took me half an hour to write this short review using it.
I’ve been as part of a tour in this hotel for two nights. The first room was simply horrible; no bulb in a lamp, safe not working, toilet seat not fixed, dirty and smallest bed I’ve ever got. After explaining the issues and asked for repair I got another room with a normal bed and a nice view through a window where a small person wouldn’t see anything as it is just a small window high placed in the wall. Unfortunately also this room was dirty and the shower and the toilet wasn’t fixed properly. Very sad as the people are mainly friendly
The staff experience started with a long, patient and helpful call to reception when we booked our weekend; and continued throughout the weekend. The hotel is set away from the main hotel area by the lake and is about a 20 minute walk down to the shore. The rooms are a large size and are both clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a variety of hots food and salads. We also enjoyed the swimming pool are in the late afternoon. The history of the hotel is an interesting read.
We had with a nice sized room that had a very comfortable bed and a large shower. The entire hotel is maintained perfectly clean. The food was excelent. Service was very good. We were there with a number of friends for the Pesach holiday. Everyone in our group expects to bring more family and friends along next year.
We stayed at the hotel for the third time. Each visit surpasses its predecessor. Generous hospitality, great location. The staff is charming and takes care of our time. The pool is fun, the breakfast is cute and pampering. The rooms are renovated and clean, the balconies are lovely
Tucked away in a dead end street, this establishment is reasonably priced, clean and has a polite staff. Our room was spacious and breakfast was simple yet wholesome. If you're not looking for something splashy and have ample means of transport, the Astoria is a great option for budget travelling in the area.
The hotel is old and has been gradually refurbished, so there are different kinds of doors, floors and elevators, but the room I checked in was freshly redecorated. The bathroom is ok, but one better open the door to take showers, because the exhaustion doesn’t work. The towels are old, thin and small. The staff is very friendly, and gives the hotel a familiar atmosphere. Moshe, the maître was extremelly kind, and I think that makes the difference about this hotel. The breakfast is very tasty.
We stayed in the hotel for one night. We were given an upgraded room which was very nice. The room was very comfortable and had its own air conditioning unit which was a nice surprise. The breakfast, given that this was not a 5 star hotel was more than enough, and the staff were very helpful All told and albeit just for one night it was a pleasant stay. I would have no problem to return to the hotel again
Room was spacious and included a balcony. Host provided a welcome fruit and nut platter which was a nice and welcomed surprise. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. We arrived around dinner time and decided to walk down to this unassuming Gasoline Station which had a very nice restaurant that serviced grilled meat with soft warm bread and 18 salads. All very reasonable and filling.
The rooms are big, renovated and very clean! The staff is friendly and Helpful. I enjoyed every minute and definitely recommend to anyone who come to visit the Sea of Galilee. The food is the best i had in Israel!
