The hotel in many ways is great. Rooms are good, facilities are good, the view over the sea is awesome. It is also a lovely place to wander round. But the restaurant is absolute chaos and for me was unsafe hence my score. It is noisy and quite nasty, but for me with a nut allergy, it was dangerous. Even with the chef coming out to communicate with me, I was advised I could eat food that actually contained hazelnut. When we spoke to the manager and he tried to suggest it was a mushroom. It was not, as my husband tried it. On the next night I had a reaction to another dish. Absolutely no clue about food safety and I wasn’t taken seriously.
Avoid this hotel if you dislike group tour crowds at mealtimes and check in. One can also hear the music till 2 am in the morning if you are unlucky enough to have a room on a low level and near to the atrium. Otherwise convenient location and decent sized room. Funny thing - the hotel doesn’t provide facial tissues!
This is the second time I visit Leonardo club during my trip in Israel. The staffs are professional and can speak English well. They know how to comfort and relax clients and asking the response timely. Worth to visit at a reasonable price. Especially appreciated female staff Batel in Tiberias Leonardo club and the black lady( don’t know her name) in Dead Sea branch.
Old, renovation badly needed, food ACCEPTABLE, heater/ air conditioner covered in black mold, turned it off. Slept with window open. Dry rot bathroom door casing, Dining room ventilation is terrible, felt like sauna, smelled like dishwasher detergent. A few servers acted like they did not understand basic English words like “water”.
Nice, spacious room with good seating area. The bathroom shower was amazing, with wonderful hot water pressure. We had a very nice view. The buffet had a wide range of choices and was all very tasty, especially the desserts!
The hotel accommodations were outstanding, dinners were amazing, the view is the Sea of Galilee was just beautiful. The town was easily accessible and there was lots to do right around the hotel in the evenings. The rooms were comfortable and clean.
Stayed for two nights with a tour group. Checking in and out were handled by the tour group and went fine. Some of the elevators were not working but luckily I don't mind stairs and they were reasonably convenient. This is a family oriented place and you can tell when visiting in the summer. They are located next to a large outdoor walking and shopping area so it was hopping late into the night. It also meant that the area was not overly clean but it felt safe. The room was fine and clean. We had a balcony looking towards the Sea of Galilee and the open markets. My wife actually found a couple of things in the market that she had been looking to get. The food buffets were typical for this chain and they did give us a separate room which was helpful. They had a good variety for breakfast and dinner with a lot of the typical diet for the area. They have a live loud music area for after dinner which seem to cater to families. It was fine for our purposes.…
Overall experience was fantastic, great family themed locale with swimming pool, kids games room and unlimited ice-blocks and drinks. Bar for adults during both day and night. Special thanks to Lina the Barwoman - professional, friendly and highly talented with cocktail making!
Despite having to wait two hours for our room to under go an inspection, it was still filthy and bed covers had balls of dust on them. Bathroom floor was filthy and the drains were clogged. At the salad through, I got pushed away by two aggressive women who would never consider waiting or queuing up politely. They offer free beer and wine but the wine is hideous and the Gold star beer tasted watered down compared to the bottle version. A two star hotel at a 5 star price in desperate need of major renovation.
There is not much to do here, but go to the waterpool and eat. It's quite cold and you need a bathrobe to go to the pool, but there are none left. One day over - no solution has been found. So, or keep eating and drinking, or bring your own from home or choose another place.
