The room was comfortable and the atmosphere was nice, but the meals served in a "chef's restaurant" did not live up to our expectations. Dinner - while the salads were good there was little imagination in the main courses, and our most serious complaint is that the food was served lukewarm (at best). Dessert was also not a success. We knew breakfast on Saturday would be limited, but we expected more on Sunday morning. But instead, we got watery scrambled eggs and the same quiches from the previous day. In short, we were not satisfied by the food.
We had the opportunity to stay at this gem of a hotel. Close by the promenade and historical buildings. Shiran at the desk is very friendly and was very helpful. The owners kept this hotel with touch of Ottoman and modern facilities together. Great breakfast and awesome service. The price is very good for a boutique hotel. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!! Highly recommended!!!
We had a lovely weekend here. The food was good [almost excellent apart from the bread which was tasteless and dry]. The service in the dining room was pleasant too. A relaxing place to be. 10 mins walk from the Kinneret.
Small boutique hotel, the kind of hotels that had all the potential to become a place to remember. The hotel is built on historic building, beautifully designed. We took the best room in the hotel, the one having the panoramic view on the Sea of Galilee and the mountains... the sunrise in the morning was absolutely breathtaking. Breakfast was good, rich, fresh and clean. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Nevertheless, the building maintenance is very bad, the floors were not clean, our balcony had cigarettes on the floor, and the pool really needs some renovation..
We checked into the first room - there were short hairs in the bathub and dust. We were moved to another room and there were hairs in the bed as well as a dirty bathtub and dust. When we told the front desk the clerk started yelling at us that he doesn’t understand what’s wrong, and threatening he would call the police. The manager will not speak with us. This is the worst experience we’ve ever had at any hotel in the world.
A true surprise! Intimate boutique hotel with great history and personal customer service! fits couples mostly, not for families and little kids. Has a great atmosphere, clean, and classy. It's a small hotel with a small homey pool.
Old And quaint hotel with minimal supplies; hotel was boutique type- room was comfortable; buffet meals were sumptuous. Biggest negative was the noise level at night- we could hear conversations from our neighboring room, vehicles driving by, honking, braking, cars meowing through the night, people talking on the streets and noises that sounded like gun shots. Room 415 has the best view
Quaint and old hotel; amenities were just basic (no restaurant, no bar) rooms were average. The biggest problem we had was the noise of vehicles, cats, ?? Gun shots, people talking/arguing at night. Room 415 has a beautiful view
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here with our tour group AIT. We were greeted upon arrival with champagne and fresh lemonade. Our room had beautiful stone walls, very high ceilings and a private patio overlooking the small pool. The bathroom was roomy and nicely appointed, the wifi and the in-room coffee maker were excellent. The breakfasts were good, but selections limited and the dinners were fresh and tasty. The staff were attentive and very accomodating. Nice and comfortable place to stay.
This was our third time in Tiberias and I was not looking forward to figuring out a hotel here because the other hotels we had stayed in were very sub-par. We are so excited that we booked into Europa 1917! This hotel is very clean, friendly manager, and kind wait-staff. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we had a beautiful balcony on the main level. Thank you to the Europa 1917 staff and America Israel Tour Company for this recommendation. We will definitely be back and book our teams here in the future.
