The Morgan State House is our perennial favorite among the many choices in the Albany area. Friendly, cozy, well located, and just generally pleasant experience every time (stayed there maybe 15 times over the last 10 years).

We love this place - we stay here whenever we're in Albany. The rooms are gorgeous - beautifully appointed, lovely attention to detail. There is street parking which can have restrictions (none when we were there) and a lot for $10/day. The neighborhood is beautiful - walking distance from great restaurants. The breakfast is simple (serve yourself) and they have...

We enjoyed our night in Albany at the Morgan State House. We were disappointed that we were housed in the annex (two doors down and sharing with people renting apartments), but loved the original building. The neighborhood was so much fun with lots of restaurants and a beautiful park across the street. The staff was very welcoming and helped us...

The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The location across from the park is lovely. The breakfast was great (help yourself, not served). The indoor and outdoor public spaces were beautiful. Snacks and Drink are available in the kitchen 24 hours. The whole experience is very private - there is no "front desk", no one greeting you when you walk...

We stayed at the Morgan State House for one night while on a road trip before getting to Manhattan. We arrived late so arranged our arrival with who we thought was the reception. Communication was great and we found the house with no problem. We were welcomed by a 'live in' guest who checked us in. Morgan state house is...

We love this place! I live right down the street, and this is where I put up friends or family when they visit. The rooms in this brownstone are unique and beautiful. The staff are always so accommodating. It is on a quiet street in a lively neighborhood and faces the beautiful Washington Park. You can walk to bars, restaurants,...

The Morgan State House advertises itself as a Bed & Breakfast Inn, but it is more like a funky (in the good sense) hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable if a bit unconventionally laid out (kind of like staying with relatives in Minnesota). The window air conditioner in our room was loud, but fortunately well-functioning windows and venetian blinds,...

This bnb is a lovely old brownstone on a quiet street in Albany. It's across the street from a park. Nice rooms, cute city garden oasis in the backyard adds to the ambience. The owner and employees are very friendly and helpful. My only hesitations are that parking can be a problem and our room was in another building. Make...

We stayed here for 3 nights. We were given a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the park. There was a fabulous bathroom with his and hers sinks and a lovely shower. You could help yourself to a continental breakfast in the kitchen each morning. Parking was behind the hotel in a secure lock up (10 dollars per...

Based on the Trip advisors reviews we booked one night at the Morgan. We had a large king room on the 3rd floor. The Inn is very old and not in a good way. It really needs some TLC to revamp its glory. Our room had a window air conditioning unit that was extremely noisy, the room was musty. The...
