Stayed just one night while in town for an event at the Capital Center. We were pleasantly surprised and pleased with the stay overall. Ruth was cheery welcoming, and efficient at check-in. The suites are spacious and have everything you need - fridge, kitchenette, glassware, etc. The housekeeping staff made cute little towel animals in the bathroom, which was adorable and fun. Rooms are gigantic with so much space to spread out.

Breakfast the next day was exactly what you expect from an included hotel breakfast. Was pleased to see whole milk in the fridge; we sat outside in a very cute courtyard area (which included grills, for those who are staying long term and want to do their own food prep). It's apparent that the staff and management are making every attempt to make the hotel feel welcoming and homey to those who stay there.

All of the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Rooms were quiet. Parking is $10/day onsite, which was convenient and made navigating our stay in the city easy.

We selected this hotel since it had free EV charging. Upon checking in they notified us that it was no longer free…after being plugged in for 2 hours and only adding about 50 km worth of range, the total cost was up to $6. We quickly unplugged as this was not a realistic/reasonable rate. This was frustrating as the next morning we had to charge elsewhere and delay our road trip. The hotel website still indicated that this location still had free charging, so they at least need to update that information!

On top of all that, the TV in the room did not work. My husband is pretty techy and he was not able to fix it. We called the front desk and asked for them to fix it, but they said they didn’t have anyone who could fix it that night. We asked for a room change, but they claimed the hotel was full. Also, there were a couple of homeless people yelling and hanging out front when we pulled up to the hotel, so that was a bit unnerving. So with the charger not working/being free and no TV, we will definitely not recommend this hotel, nor stay here again.

My family and I are four children have been displaced due to a fire and are staying here with an extended stay. I would like to give all the hotel staff here, five stars with their information and resources that they have help provide for me and my family due to this fire Have been substantial over and above they make sure our rooms are exceptionally clean every day. Anything we ask for they provide an expeditious manner all shifts 7 to 33 to 11 as well as 11 to 7 make sure they run this hotel and keep everything up to par. I have not had any issues as well as my children Who have been accommodated exceptionally well through all the hotel staff especially 3 to 11 she might get bombarded, but she handles everything the way she needs to. I wanted to write this review for myself and children just in case anyone else is in our situation and have to come here. They will make sure you are well taken care of and provide it for and if they have the resources to point you in the right direction they will they go over and beyond their job description and I truly appreciate it at this time of need for me and my family. I didn’t have any hope with the staff in the community. We are heading in the right direction.

In town for family function and then a power failure happened. So this local TownePlace to the rescue! Rachel at the front desk was the best! Very friendly and informative! We come to Albany often but she was still helpful. The place is old and a bit worn looking but well kept and very clean. Our room was immaculate, spacious and sunlit AND was serviced on request our 2nd day by who turned out to be the actual housekeeping supervisor! Raquel was visibly very busy but happily cleaned our room beautifully on request with a smile and great humor included!
Breakfast in the morning was delicious with a friendly gentleman who's name I can't recall. He was great!
We usually frequent Hamptons in this area but we will return here next time and hopefully receive the same service!

Have to be buzzed in or use a room key, which concerned is at check in as we aren’t used to that and the neighborhood looks sketchy. But front desk advised that is because of COVID, and sign also says no alcohol in the rooms because of some new law? And that also has to do with COVID?!? Free breakfast is pitiful, maybe 2 warmers of stuff and that’s it. Most hotels have muffins, bagels, boiled eggs, fruit, etc. and there was oatmeal but no bowls? Ice machines out of order but they will give you some at front desk. One of 2 dryers broken. Location good for local attractions. Third floor laundry room was dirty, especially the floor.

Convenient location by the hospital where I was staying to be close to my mom who was having surgery. Rooms were tidy. I checked in in the evening with no issues. The staff were courteous and polite. My questions about the area were answered and my room was quite large for what I paid

Horrible. Good luck finding the entrance. As a Marriott member I was so disappointed. This was a business trip and the internet did not work ( read other reviews) . We were given a 800 number to call for help. When we called the desk to explain the 800 number was not helpful we were pretty much told this was all she could do and she had a terrible attitude. The fact that they have a 800 number says it all. We did get a survey from the company they outsource tech problems to, I guess thats cheaper than fixing the problem.

The room was spacious, and included a desk/chair and a couch with a "portable desk" type of try. The kitchenette was as expected. The outlet by the bed didn't work, which was an annoyance in this day and age. Our rate was supposed to include parking, but we were charged $10 - when we brought up the discrepancy they blamed the third party we booked through and did not honor it. The AC was on a motion sensor, which I get and respect during the day - but hello, at night we're not moving around. Consequently we were both quite warm overnight (and I'm always cold). Breakfast was a bit of a COVID disaster. You had to order the night before from a very limited menu, and of course when we went to pick it up, they'd run out of the vegetarian option. It was an egg and cheese biscuit (or also the sausage option), which we were supposed to reheat, and I think even on paper you can see that's going to be gross. McDonalds and Walgreens within walking distance.

Good locale and overall does the job. However, the rooms are weirdly set up with a lot of wasted space that perhaps could be another bathroom (1 bedroom suite) or another couch/pullout. Breakfast is small and limited and was not kept filled. And glad did not stay on 4th floor as went there for ice and the smell was nauseating. Did the job but may or may not stay again.

We found the staff to be so welcoming and helpful! I didn’t realize when I booked I would be as far outside the city as I was, but it all worked out. Uber and Lyft were easy to get and when we wanted to walk to the concert the staff told us the best way to get there. We had a 1 bedroom suite and the room was big and comfortable for the 3 of us to spend 2 nights. Every morning we were greeted with smiles, at night when we came back they asked how our day was, they recommended the best place for us to have pizza delivered at 10pm.
