My wife and I used to love this place, and stayed here a number of times in the past….but this recent stay was like a dip into the inner rings of HELL. First, when we arrived our sheets and bedding had human hair on it, and obviously was not cleaned at all, but half-way shuffled to give the appearance of a made bed. Strike one! We did get moved to a new room, but that was not a good way to start our vacation. Then, we went to take a swim. Please know we had called ahead of time to make sure the pool was working, as we got the hotel for the purpose of taking our son swimming. That is why we booked it. The pool was ice cold, like the final ring of Hell in Dante’s Inferno, like totally freezing. I lasted a few minutes then pulled my kid out for fear he would get sick. (I did get sick by the way, the following day.) I called the front desk to ask about the heat in the pool and they said they were waiting on a part. I figured at least they were working on it and let it go. The next day we try to swim again and this time the pool is shut down, totally not working. Not a big deal except we had booked the hotel simply to use the pool. We asked to speak to the manager, and the woman at the front desk (who was very unfriendly) said she couldn’t find her but would have the manager call us. After several hours and no phone call from the manager, we decided to take a day trip to Oneanta where my wife went to school….since watching TV in a hotel is not that exciting and we had booked the room simply to use the pool. STRIKE TWO! We got back late that night, and I started not feeling well. The next morning the pool was still broken, and still no call from the manager. We went to breakfast and my son wanted the sausage offered but the pan was empty. There was more than an hour left on the breakfast schedule. We waited at least 20 minutes and no one was visibly working the breakfast and no sausage appeared either. So, I went to ask the front desk about the sausage situation. It was the same miserable woman as before at the front desk. The woman at the front desk was rude, and said “I don’t work there” when I told her about the breakfast situation. I thought WTF? She cannot call or buzz the breakfast people from the front desk and inquire? I asked her: “does someone work there?” And she replied yes and told me to go back and find them. This I found to be very odd given we are in times of COVID and inviting people to go into a food prep area seemed weird, but I followed her direction and went back there, and found a middle aged woman so in love with her cell phone, oogling it as if it was the greatest lover she had ever known, and not seeming to be doing any work at all. I asked her about the sausage and she gave a one word reply of: “finished.” Really? It was an hour left before breakfast ended and they are going to start shutting down the options? I went back to my table, and my very disappointed 6 year old who didn’t get to swim other than a few minutes in a few days, and now wasn’t getting a breakfast he wanted because the woman was too lazy to take time from her precious cell phone. My wife then got up to grab coffee, and the half and half container was empty. I was so sick of the horrible customer service we simply left at that point.Strike THREE! But the worse was yet to come. I sent an email to Marriott since I am a rewards member. I get a reply and think it is being handled. Maybe they’ll give me discount coupon or something to make up for the fact that we had a pretty negative stay. Instead I get a very tepid reply from an assistant manager who “thanks me for choosing them” ….but the biggest insult is when I see they did give me a refund..a refund for a wopping two US pennies to my Amex card. Yes, you heard it folks a $.02 refund. Now that is some real customer service for you! I will never never never never stay at this place again, which really sucks as we did love it until this recent stay, WTF has happened to this place to go so downhill?

We had a fabulous stay! The hotel looks like it was recently renovated. The hallways and our room were spotless. The staff at the front desk was very nice. Due to covid protocols, similar to most hotels, you request housekeeping services if you would like them. However, you can call or go to the front desk and get as many toiletries and towels as you need. They had huge large screen TVs in the room and the bathrooms were very large as well. Our room had a microwave and mini-fridge. And there was also a cute little grab n' go area where you could buy snacks or frozen dinners if you needed anything by the reception area. The self-service laundry room was nice as well.

We have stayed at this property several times since it has opened. Covid has been very difficult on getting this property opened and operating, but with their limited staff, it is still very good every time. The room is always clean and everything is brand new. Walk across the parking lot for a fantastic breakfast at the coffee shop. One of the best choices in the Albany area and directly off the I-87.

We picked this hotel because of the location. Which is great. We were there for 6 nights. We had to go down to the desk to get more clean towels. Asked for a box of kleenex and got it 3 days later! Asked in the 4th day to have the sheets changed. We were told that they only change them every 7 days! In calling other hotels on Wolf Road, I was told they change them every other day! One hotel even gives you garbage bags for the garbage. There was none and we just kept tossing it in the can, which was over flowing. They will not change the sheets, but think nothing of having garbage left in the hall for days on end! Saw no reason to tip a maid, as there was done! Enclosed are photos of the garbage. These are from the first floor which is where I was. I wasn't smart enough to take the photos of our towels out there for 2 days.

The hotel is convenient both to I-87 and the airport. Clean and spacious rooms, designed for the business traveler. A comfortable stay. Limited lobby amenities due to COVID, but nearby to diners and other eateries.
