Hotel's Favourite
The staff was welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was really great. Our bed was comfortable. I see a note posted in the elevator that streaming was being installed this week.
I'd say one of the best hotel experiences ever!

We like this brand style of hotels for the roominess and general quality. This was our 3rd stay here and even though it’s only Ben a few years in time, the hotel is in need of a good cleaning top,to bottom. Now it’s not to stay it dirty, for the most part it’s very clean. It’s more to say with the weather and all it’s a bit stuffy and a nice cleaning of the hall and room carpets would go a long way to Rwanda feeling a bit nicer

From now on we are ONLY staying at Home Suites by Hilton. Our room was pristine with everything you need for a very comfortable stay including a great bed. While all hotels have a breakfast, this hotel goes a step above. Food is appealing with plenty of choices including fresh fruit. Silverware & glass plates over plastic with attention to all details. Why pay the same for so much less? A great value.

The wife and I travel by car as a preference. We're retired so we don't drive far in any given day, usually no more than 6 hours in a day, which means when you drive the length of the US Eastern Sea Board you're going to spend a LOT of nights in Hotels. The Hilton brand is one we prefer for what we consider good value in accommodation, and the Home2 Suites in particular being one we seek out since it offers us several things important to us as car travelers. At the top of that list is the perk of laundry service in the Spin2 combination laundry and work out area. We have stayed at a larger number of Home2 Suites and this one in Albany is the first one we ever had to pay for the use of the washer and dryers. This location charged $1.50 a load fora washer, and a $1.50 a load for a dryer, with the added annoyance that the dryers were so poor that each load of laundry required 2 or 3 sets of drying ($3 to 4.50 per load). It's not a lot of money, it's principle. Naturally to get all these quarters the desk will gladly sell you a roll for $10, or if you don't have cash, they'll gladly through it on your bill and tax it and up charge it too. It's just typical that of all the Home2 locations I've stayed at, the place where you run into annoying methods of squeezing the customer is in New York, the home of squeezing every dime out of people.

Let me start by stating it took almost 5 minutes for someone to come to the desk after being beckoned by myself loudly. The room that we had chosen during checkin in the app had been reassigned prior to checkin and there were no king suites available on the first floor. I was sent to a suite on the second floor with my family very late at night and it was a Queen suite which we booked a king. I went back to the desk and was told the associate who changed my room earlier had also changed the code on my reservation to a queen suite. So we were finally placed in a king suite on the third floor. Upon going into the room it was not a great experience either. The room was so damp it was literally icky to even touch the bedding it, my kids were tired so we stayed in the room. I went to feed them and had to wash every plate and silverware because they were dirty with food stuck to them. I was so disappointed and disgusted. So the next morning I went to speak to the manager and he apologized and said he would get us into a room at least on the first floor and refund 50 dollars for my first night 7/28. I have yet to receive any reimbursement. We had to wait for the room, and when we finally got to it the light was broken under the microwave which hindered my kids from having their typical night light without me having to leave the bathroom light on. Also the dishes were filthy. So much so I just brought it to the manager the next morning and all he did was apologize. I would like follow up on this as our experience at a home 2 has never been this displeasing!

This was an incredibly disappointing and the most un-Hilton like stay I've ever had. We had stayed here in 2015 soon after it opened and it was fresh, bright, and friendly. It appears not much has been done in upkeep since then. We were there to visit family in the area for one night. I called the day before to request a top floor room -- as I always do -- which was also on our reservation. The not particularly friendly person who answered told me that had blocked on out. We arrived the next day and the same person said, "well, I blocked it in but somebody took the hold off," but not could explain why. She finally found us a room on the top floor after a lengthy check in process -- she was there all alone. As a gold member, simply said, "Points or something from the market?"
We finally got to our room, which had a stale, musty smell, and stained furniture, and the A/C was emitting a loud whining noise. At our request, someone from maintenance came up and said, "they're old units, they all sound like that," and said there was nothing he could do. We had to sleep with it off because it was too noisy.
Turned on the TV to watch the Olympics after dinner... the TV was clearly in bad repair, and the brightness of the picture varied up and down every few seconds from normal to dark, but didn't want to deal with it at 9 pm at night, so didn't tell anyone.
So all in all, a very disappointing stay and will never return to this hotel again.

This place was absolutely disgusting!! Sheets were stained, room had a terrible pet odor, the light in the room was busted and just hanging off the wall. And the pull out couch was beyond stained with holes. I don’t know what I was expecting but this was not it. I wouldn’t even let my kids swim in the pool because it just looked so gross, Lesson learned, I will be paying more next time to stay at a decent place so we can at least feel comfortable.

I was unable to check in earlier than 3:00. As a Diamond member, I have had no issues with early check in any other location I’ve stayed throughout the entire country! I will seek other locations, or perhaps one of your competitors for future accommodations!

Hotel setup is nice and convenient to highway/airport, however we found it to be less than ideal in terms of cleanliness. We arrived to find that everyone was wearing masks which we were happy to see. Our room also had a “clean seal” on it stating they had used Lysol products (another good sign). Unfortunately that’s where it ended. We immediately found a rather large hair ball (tumbleweed) under the desk, crumbs in the kitchenette area floor, but the most disturbing thing was the pull out couch where we found not only that it wasn’t made up even though we stated we had a family of four but also someone’s used mask and hair all over the mattress cover.
I went down to the front desk to let them know the room would need extra attention after our stay and they graciously offered to change our room, but since we were only staying one night and leaving early in the morning we just crammed in one bed.
Staff was friendly and helpful and the customer service was great, I just wish we had had a cleaner room, especially during a pandemic when we were already on edge traveling.
I did appreciate that the pool was limited to one family at a time and you could sign up for a time slot ahead of time. My kids thoroughly enjoyed having the pool to themselves.

So, I arrived at the hotel for a tenure of 3 days on a business visit, and was immediately greeted by a young Pakistani man, whose name I believe was Sardar. Seeing his friendly face and amicable demeanour I approached him to check in and was bombarded with a series of pleasantries not even the front desk workers at the five seasons could have conjured up. Bamboozled by his linguistic wizardry, that would make even Eminem jealous, I became enthralled and in a trance started to lift my bag to take it up to my room. Like a bloody mindreader, he immediately manifested a bellboy who assured me that it would be his pleasure to accompany me to my room, and take over the burden of my luggage, during which Sardar explained to me in page-turned fashion all about the history of the hotel, and each of its restaurants and amenities. My only complain was that my stay was too short. All in all: amazing rooms and even better staff.
