Near Interstate 90 and the Albany airport a handy location if you are traveling and need lodging for the night. A brand new hotel no complaints about the room. There is no breakfast food service in the hotel in the morning but there is a bagel shop across the parking lot. The only downside I have seen is we were checking in about 10PM had to wait about 15 minutes before someone staffed the front desk to check us in. We always wipe down our room with disinfectant wipes found no dirt the rooms are indeed clean.

A pretty decent hotel with an indoor pool. Liked the breakfast- a wide variety of good food and drinks that caters to many diets. A bit far from downtown and the hotel does not call taxis for you; but depends on the purpose of the stay; peaceful setting, very quiet at night. The tranquil Crossings Park is just 15 minutes away on foot. Only poor experience- requested for credit card charge to be reversed from the original card and charged to a different one; was told that it would require the manager to authorise it later in the morning I checked out- it never happened.

The hotel was nice and clean but not worth the money spent. Housekeeping is every other day so our trash was overflowing and we ran out of towels and toilet paper. Had to go down to the front desk multiple times to get what we needed. Also, the fridge in our room didn't work so we had to get a new one and it took over a day for it to get just semi-cold. On the day of our housekeeping it took forever, it was mid afternoon by the time our room was all cleaned.

This was our 3rd stay at this hotel. This time, we had a problem with our booking made for 4 adults through third party, as the room booked said it was for 4 people but in reality, it was only for 3. So, we went back to the reception to advise them of the problem and asking if it was possible to have a room for 4. We showed our reservation, which clearly stated it was 4 adults on it and the receptionist response was really rude. (We didn't catch her name, but she had very thick false eyelashes). She laughed at us and told us that it was not her problem and got up to leave the front desk. So, we insisted and asked her again for another room. She started laughing at us again, began insulting us with rage and arms in the air and threatened to cancel our reservation. She also accused us of shouting, which was not true, we were just unhappy with her very bad attitude. Besides, another employee who was there the whole time, came to our defense and tried to calm her down. The receptionist was rude, had a bad attitude and was very unprofessional. This kind of person should never work with customers. Unfortunately, we also spoke today with the management of the hotel (Claudia) about the matter, but the discussion turned out to be disappointing, because they only blame the third party and do not apologize for the rudeness of their employee towards the customers. For these reasons and other noise issues during the night, we will never return to this hotel again.

MY 18 year old Granddaughter was a camp counselor in the Adirondack area of New York and was flying home from the Albany airport. We needed an overnight stay for her in a hotel near the airport. Most hotels require you to be 21 to check in alone. We found the Fairfield Inn & Suites Albany Airport that didn’t appear to have that requirement. I called the hotel, and a very friendly associate told me that it would be fine for her to check in alone and asked for a payment authorization to cover any costs, which I provided. On the day of check-in (8/11/24) she was told by the front desk that she could not check in since she was under 21. At that point she was upset, since she had never before traveled alone, and called me. I spoke to the front desk person who was quite rude and of no help. She contacted the Assistant General Manager who was quite irritated that she had to be talking to a customer on her day off. She said she would contact the General Manager, who was also on her day off, for a decision and get back to me. I never received a call back, but my granddaughter was told that the decision was “no”. My granddaughter was upset as she was 2+ hours from the camp and was being refused check in. I then contacted Hilton and, even though they also had a 21 policy, they made an accommodation and gave her a room. My family and I travel a lot and almost always use Marriott. Have had a lot of great experiences but would never recommend this hotel.

Recently stayed at the property. Hotel was very clean from the guest room, to the lobby, and other common areas. All staff I encountered were very friendly. Very easy and complimentary parking. Breakfast was simple but got the job done. I really liked the room compared to similar hotels from other brands. The bed, couch, and the desk chair were are comfortable. I also liked the options on the TV to stream showtime, HBO, and link you Netflix and Amazon account.
One small detail that I liked was the toiletries that were complimentary: small pack of hand sanitizing wipes, deodorant, and toothbrushes.

The hotel met the expecting you'd have with a Fairfield. Clean beds, no noise, great shower. Coffee was hot in the morning and checkout was a breeze. What really impressed me was post checkout. Within 30 min, I realized I lost a diamond earring somewhere in the room. I called the front desk and the girl personally ran up to the room to check for the earring. At this point the bed was already stripped, but lo and behold, someone had found my earning and had placed it on the bed side table. I discovered it so quickly they didn't have a chance to reach out but how amazing of the cleaning staff.! Not only were they keen to spot something in the bed, but also honest enough not to take it.

The Fairfield Inn in Albany is well located on Wolf Road (a major business road, close to the airport and to I-87/ a.k.a. the Northway). It is a clean hotel with spacious rooms and a nice free breakfast. They also have a launderette which was free of charge. But.. the thing that most impressed me was that they cleaned the snow off the cars parked in their parking lot. This is real service, and is much appreciated. I've stayed in the Fairfield Inn before (summer time), and will stay there again!

We walked into our room to find a stray lightbulb on the nightstand. It was my 3 year old that walked over to it and handed it to us. What would have happened if it broke in her hand? All 3 of the ice machines were broken. The on duty staff didn't seem to care and just shrugged it off when I mentioned it. We found out that there were no sheets for the pull out bed. The front desk staff said we were "lucky to get sheets and a pillow as the hotel was sold out". This stay was an all around travesty and an affront to the Marriott name.
