We stayed at Centum as were attending a conference at BEXCO and it was pretty convenient (just across the street). Also there are nice coffee shops and restraunts nearby. One advice, sun-facing rooms can get real hot sometimes, especially when aircon isn't at full swing.
We stayed for 2 nights and the first thing I noticed is that there's a stench in the room - probably because it's old. At night, we wanted to have the air-condition on but there was a noise and I couldn't sleep due to it. So I ended up switching it off. Generally clean but I will not come back here. Perfect location though - just right beside the Shinsegae Mall and subway is close!
Location of hotel was perfect. Centrally located to ensure easy travel to attractions in Busan. Family Suite is huge! Tons of room for my family of four and the price was great. Room is dated though, needs some help. Furniture in the living room is to small for the size of the room and is very old. Wall paper was peeling in several areas around the room. When I approached the front desk with the issues I was surprised at how responsive they were. They bent over backwards to make sure our stay was pleasant. The sauna facility is one of the best parts of the hotel, very relaxing and super clean. Over all, not a bad hotel for a stay. With an update it would be amazing. We will stay here again.
s to all areas of Busan with most tourist destinations not requiring a bus transfer. Being about midway between the two most popular beachfront areas of Gwangalli and Haeundae, it was nice to have quick access to both areas. The hotel was reasonably priced and the rooms were very spacious with a kitchen. Despite six elevators being in operation there was a lot of time spent waiting for one. They also charge a bit high for the fitness center which didn’t even look that great. I got to use the sauna because of a promotional coupon but wouldn’t pay for the facilities that didn’t look much better than a typical neighborhood bath house.
This hotel is walking distance to shinsega shopping centre, spa land and the BEXCO. We booked online for 3 bedder and got a large space with 2 bed rooms , kitchen with fridge, macrowave oven and washing machine and 2 toilets ensuite. The place is near the train station, starbucks and lots of cafe and 24 hour eatries . Recommend for families with children or group that share rooms.
I didn’t expect much from this hotel to be honest. The drive from airport is great in a Genesis upmarket saloon but at the hotel; check in was smooth but room was rather plain. At least it has a sofa set opposite the TV but bathroom was plain strange as the shower always leaked by the side even with shower curtain being used. Breakfast was ok; no halal options of course. The best thing is that it’s close to shopping malls and Bexco conference centre
A good value hotel. For its reasonable price, it offers a room large enough for a sofa, a small dining table with two chairs, dressing table and bathroom with a tub and manageable hot and cold taps. You may have to step up into the tub but that keeps the floor dry if you draw the shower curtain properly. Amenities are very good, nice toiletries and even a loofah. There's a sink in the room but the induction tops aren't for cooking as no pots and pans are provided but the fridge is very large. Stayed only one night but found the location very convenient for Shinsegae Shopping Mall, Lotte Department Store and Spaland, all within walking distance. Enough eateries in the area but most close by 8pm. The hotel itself has a restaurant which we didn't try and though the buffet breakfast is pricey, there are alternatives in the Coffee Bean n Tealeaf right next to the lobby and a couple of convenience stores there too including CU where you can get a 10 per cent discount as a hotel guest. Only minor complaints as the room lighting is a bit dark and some lifts go only to the basement floors. Check-in is somewhat late at 3pm and checkout early at 11am. Other than that, it provides a comfortable stay at a good price. …
Let’s get the good news out of the way. 1. It’s convenient for BEXCO exhibition centre 2. The bed was comfortable The bad 1. Outdated dark and dingy decor. Added a long narrow room with a wardrobe in the middle and you have not a room but a crypt 2. AC that at best worked intermittently. But its crowning achievement - turning on at 28 degrees in the middle of the night so you wake up in a puddle of sweat 3. Kamikaze shower/bath with slippery step designed to give a evens chance of falling in any given stay. 4. No bottle opener. What hotel room has no bottle opener? 5. Elevators. Want to get to the lobby from the 14th floor? Allow at least 10 minutes. Nonsensical call buttons and random going up when the arrow points down. 6. A lobby which looks like a shopping mall. 7. Corridors with a similar dungeon like feel to the rooms but with the added benefit of no fresh air and a stale smell. 8. No chair to sit as the desk just a bouncy stool which was too low to sit at for more than 10 minutes at a stretch. But the absolute worst thing about this establishment is breakfast. Cold cooked food; get your own cutlery; no coffee cups; no orange juice; a toaster than doesn’t toast; croissants and pastries which were fresh - 3 days ago. This is without doubt THE WORST BREAKFAST I have ever had in a hotel of any standard. Even if it was cheap, it would be bad but it isn’t cheap. I will never step foot in this hotel again. …
There’s nothing good about this hotel except that it is near BEXCO which is where I need to be for the exhibition. The room is dated, window faces next building’s wall, bathroom smelled musky, air-con is not working, reception is rude during check-in, concierge is unhelpful, bed has springs poking up. Also you need to pay to use the gym and they have a kitchenette in the room but tell you that it cannot be used. All in all, a “not recommended” place unless you really need to be near the exhibition center like I did. Otherwise, there are much better hotels in Busan.
Staying for 5 days and 4 nights for a business trip and it was a very convenient stay. I didnt have much time to spend at the hotel, but the location wise, it is great. This hotel is located close to Bexco (only 5 mins walk), Shinsegae Mall (5 mins walk) and Busan International Film Festival Hall (10-15 minutes walk). So the overall impression of the hotel was actually great. The hotel room was very spacious, it is a semi apartment I guess, I had my own kitchen and living room. Having an extra bed is still possible too, 2 friends joined me during the stay with an extra bed and we still had an extra space in the room. So if you are traveling with group or family, you may consider staying here.
