This is a Japanese style business inn and we felt it would be an interesting experience. The hotel is located across the street from the Busan Train Station so there are quite a few restaurants and shops nearby. The nearby Busan metro station felt very central in the city and we had good connections to the sights we wanted to see like Jalgachi Market, Gamcheon Village, the spas to the north and the beaches to the northeast.

The room is a bit on the smaller side but we found the beds and pillows were nice and comfy. There is a heat/air conditioning unit in the room but we didn't use it because we felt the temperature was very comfortable during our stay. The room had a kettle, mini refrigerator, small TV and safe. The bathroom was very Japanese style which meant it was compact and efficient. The shower and sink used the same tap for water and provided good pressure. Everything in the bathroom was like it was from a kit and all connected. The Japanese style toilet with the heated seat and other features was a nice touch. In between the shower and sink there is shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There are bar soaps in the lobby too and things like toothbrushes are available for purchase too. We got some outside noises in our room like the trains going in and out of the station or the occasional sneeze from a neighbour but otherwise it was pretty quiet. The room cleaning needs to be requested but we did get a bag of fresh towels and water each day during our stay.

The breakfast was all Korean/Japanese fare. There was savoury rice porridge, fish sticks, milk toast and a rice station that you could top with all sorts of vegetables, seaweed or cocktail weenies in a kind of bean sauce. We had enough to get by and everything was good and easy on the stomach. There was orange and grape juice available as well as a coffee machine that made lattes, cappuccinos and mochas.

The laundry machines are in the lobby and are very affordable. They have signs for instructions on how to use the machines and there might only be a 36 minute wash cycle and a 45 minute dry cycle but I also could not figure out if these settings could be adjusted. I can say it was a quick and inexpensive way (3000 won to wash and dry) to do our laundry.

It is important to note the check in and check out hours and plan around them if you choose to stay here. Check out is at 10 am and check in is at 4 pm. They seem inflexible when it comes to these times and when we arrived we came in around 2:30 and were told we'd have to wait until 4:00 to check in. They do offer a baggage storage area in the lobby and we had quick metro access to start exploring Busan.

This was a good hotel for our first time in Busan and I'd recommend it if you're doing activities north and south of this area. It was convenient in the winter but I would consider a beach area if we came in the summer in Busan.

This is a typical toyoko inn. Room is cozy, small but convenient and unbelievably cheap. The property is right next to the Pusan Station, which allow extremely good access. After a trip, you can rest without walking too much. The staff were all very nice. Second floor is reserved for the free breakfast. The room commands a very good view toward the station. Food is okay and changes everyday. Definitely worth to stay with very high quality per price.

Stayed here recently for 3 nights with friends. This was my second time here at Toyoko Inn Busan Station 1. Just across the UFO shaped building of Busan Station. Be sure to tell airport limosine for 6000 won at Busan Station as usually they would drop you off at Toyoko Inn Busan Station# 2 along the main road. For quick reference inform of the Arirang Tourist hotel very near the inn to taxi and bus drivers and you won't get wrong. Plenty of cheap eats surrounding the hotel.

Clean but small rooms. Don't expect something of luxury because this is like a 3 star category hotel, Japanese style. Bed kind of hard as what Japanese prefer. Room with ref, flat TV, wall clock, table, hair dryer, a safe, slippers and good free and fast wifi. soap, shampoo canister inside the bath room though you can get bar soap, comb bath gels at the counter. Friendly staff. 4 PCs complimentary at the lobby and with vending machine for drinks. Free breakfast on the 3rd floor from 6am to 10am. Japanese style breakfast usually consist of miso soup, rice, kimchi (we are in Korea), sausage, hard boild eggs, steamed white rice, veggies and seaweed. Sliced bread, jams, butter, milk, coffee are also served. There is pajama attire available for free-self serve at the ground floor.

Daily Busan tour bus parked just outside the hotel for 2 routes at 5000 won. At the Busan Station itself there are good restaurants at the first floor, Dunkin Donuts and a convenience store. More shops are located on the second floor where train tickets booth and vending machines are located. There is also a Face Shop also. Trains to Seoul, a 3 hour trip via KTX line are aplenty. PC rentals are also available. A very busy train station. This Toyoko Inn Busan 1 is priced higher than the Busan Station 2 which is the one usually featured in 3 party websites like Agodo, Expedia and Asia Travel.

To book this hotel you must go directly to the Toyoko Inn website. Do not be confused between Busan 1 and Busan 2 hotels as both are different and NOT the same. At the Busan 1 hotel nearby is the Choryang area -Chinatown where its popular with foreigners. Busan park is just outside the hotel for a nice stroll. Highly recommended, reasonable and good value.

Suggest you take the hop on hop off Busan Tour bus just outside the hotel for 5,000-6,000 won to visit beautiful places in Busan like the APEC site at Nurimaru, Haeundai and Gwangalli beaches. Also take a taxi to Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) and enjoy good shopping within the area, There is also an underground shopping area nearby for great bargains. At the Gukjie market for souvenirs. Generally Busan is cheaper than Seoul and good news to shoppers. Metro is cheap and advise to take this rather than taxi in moving around. It is easy to navigate Busan using the metro.

Also take a metro to Shinsegae Centum, the world's largest department store certified by Guinness World Record for some great shopping. Lotte department store is also located in the centum. It also has a ice skating rink. Shopper's paradise. Hope these information helps travellers.

I dont expect much from a small hotel but this is by far the worst hotel ive stayed!

The front office staff is soo rude and wont even take a minute to help you get around the city. They give you rude remarks and make rude faces when you insist that you need more information.

Stay away from a staff named LEE DA SOM she is soo rude and wont even help you at all.

I will never stay in this hotel again!!!

We were staying there for 4 days 3 nights in January 2015.

Pros : excellent location, lots of food available within walking distance, shopping, right in front of the bus stop for Busan City Tour ( hop on hop off). Right in front of the Busan Station. China town is just across the street ( Come out of hotel. Turn left and you will see China Town). Airport Limousine Bus stops in front of China Town entrance.

Cons : None

Would I stay there again on my next visit to Busan? Definately a YES!

Stayed here for 2 nights for my recent trip to Busan. I made reservation online and check in was fast. You may opt to become a member and you'll immediately get to enjoy discount for your room rate. If I remember correctly, one time membership fee is 15,000 won. As a member, check-in time is 3:00pm, as opposed to 4:00pm for non members. Members also get to make reservation online 6 months in advance, as opposed to 3 months for non member. Check-out time of 10:00am is applicable to both member and non-member. Housekeeping is from 10:00am to 3:00pm daily. Do inform the receptionist if you wish stay in the room during housekeeping hours or does not require your room to be cleaned.

We stayed in the double room, which came with a queen size bed. Room size was adequate, with luggage storage under the bed or behind the headboard. Washroom came with a small bath tub with shower head, shampoo, conditioner and body shampoo. Refrigerator is available and two bottles of 500ml mineral water is provided daily. Our room was on the 8th floor (non smoking) and came with a nice view of Busan Station. Although it was close to Busan Station and there in a taxi stand in front of the hotel, it was not noisy. There is a Busan Tour Bus stop opposite CU convenient store. CU convenient store is opposite the hotel where you can purchase and load your T Money card and purchase some snacks.

Free wifi is provided in the hotel, including the room. Wifi was steady and fast. Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 to 9:00am on the 2nd floor. Breakfast spread consist of simple Japanese style breakfast like onigiri, sushi roll, bread, hard boiled egg, porridge, soup, sausages, kimchi, salad, etc. Coffee and juice is available. There is also a water dispenser machine for hot and cold water. There is a card in the room for you to bring down together when you have breakfast, something like your breakfast coupon. Guests are expected to clean up after themselves by putting the plates, cups and utensils in bins provided.

You may leave your luggage with the hotel before check-in or after check-out. There is laptop (with Internet) and printer on the 1st floor (receptionist area). Travel brouchers are available too. There is also free pajamas for loasn at the 1st floor. Iron and ironing board can be requested at the reception. Free soap and lotion is also available at the reception. There is vending machine selling mineral water (500 won only, cheaper than CU), beer, and soft drink.

The hotel is close proximity to the Busan metro station. You may use exit 2 or 8. There are a lot of eateries (e.g. Angel-in-Us, Lotteria, Paris Baguette) around, some even operate 24 hours. There is also buses near Busan Station to Hauendae Beach (bus # 1003) and Taejongdae Resort Park (bus # 88, 101).

Overall, we had an enjoyable stay in Toyoko-Inn Busan Station 1 and would recommend it to anyone looking for comfortable stay at reasonable pricing in Busan.

This is the third Toyoko Inn that I've stayed at in Busan and the fifth in total. If you're familiar with the chain's brand, you will not be surprised by the place. Small, clean, efficient, and value for the money. There's a CU conscience store next door and Busan KTX Station is practically on the hotel's doorstep. My only complaint is that juice was not available with the breakfast service - only milk and coffee. This was not the case at the other branches I have stayed at. BTW - if staying more than one night you should by the card. It quickly pays for itself and leads to various perks.

Very convenient location, beside Busan Station (both KTX & subway), with plenty of eateries both in the station and outside/around the vicinity of the hotel. Rooms are compact, no wardrobe, but a wall-mounted clothes rail is available, with a few hangers. The beds are high enough for suitcases to be pushed underneath when not needed, adequate space for 2 adults to move around the room. Bathroom is typical Japanese style, small but a tub is included. Rooms are very clean and quiet.

Breakfast consists of rice, kimchi, seaweed, miso soup, tamago & sausages, as well bread and toast. Simple but tasty enough. However, the coffee served is really weak, and the breakfast items do not change. On extended stays, you will want to grab food from outside. (There are a couple of convenience stores within stone's throw from the hotel.) At peak hours, the breakfast queue can be quite overwhelming.

Complimentary in-room internet access via LAN cable, we brought along an AirPort Express Base Station and was able to connect our smartphones via wifi. Connection speed was superb.

Overall very good value. The only con would probably be the check-in time at 4pm and check-out at 10am.

cannot recall the exact size but suffice to say it is JUST OKAY for 2 large persons, not much room to navigate around. If you been to HKG and NYC, the same size of room you will be getting. Although lack of space, I think it should be okay to fit 2 Adults and 2 Kids. 4 Adults might be a little crowded but I believe they have bigger size room that fit 4 adults. You can put your luggage under the bed or shove at the side, I cannot recall..I stay 2 nights but it was split night and so, we don't really care as it is CONVENIENCE for us to stay in this place due to airport shuttle and eateries around plus if you need to arrive or depart from Busan Station, this place is just right next to it.
