Detailed Reviews
First time in Fairfield and was kind of looking forward to it. However the stay was a little bit of mixed feelings.
What stood out is definitely the location and everything else about the hotel did not leave a deep impression on me.
Upon checking in , I asked about Bonvoy elite benefits and was told there is no free breakfast but they can give free breakfast on the first night stay, good move but for the price of the breakfast and the choices , I thought would be good to include it in. The room is on the very small side with the shower and toilet separated by a mutual door and the “bathroom” area with the basin is really small. The room is so small that it does not even have a working table and the table is awkwardly placed.
The self service laundry is a plus but with only one washer and one dryer , it’s a matter of luck. Staff speaks good English and is generally friendly but rather rigid that I asked for late check out of extra 30 mins , a strict no but with fair enough reasons.
Overall the stay is average and what’s draw ones theee is the location which is close to subway and bus stop.

+1
The hotel is in the Haeundae area, the best location in Busan: by the beach, near Mipo Station and the cruise terminal, near a traditional market. The room was small, but smartly and efficiently designed, with closets that had a shelf wide enough to fit 2 large luggages (so you could open them in the cabinet), a safe, and comfortable beds.
Very efficient, helpful, and friendly staff, who all spoke English. Special mention to Ms. Heather Kim, who was so helpful in booking our cabs, answering our questions on places to go, and who spoke excellent English.
Cons: 1) the shower door was not well sealed, so every time you use it, water would flood into the toilet and sink area, so very messy. 2) Breakfast costs extra, and limited selection, so not worth the KW16,500. 3) For an American chain, you would expect some English cable channels, especially CNN, but not available.
I will definitely stay here again when in Busan

Good location but average hotel.
Unfortunately we came here during a busy time and few options available. A few things
Staff was good. Nothing to complain about here.
Rooms were extremely small. The king bed took up the bulk of the room so difficult to move within the room if more than one person is staying here. In fact, the door for the shower doubles as the door for the toilet so if someone is in the toilet, you cannot shower as the door goes back and forth. Might be weird for a new couple. Or friends.
Location is pretty good. No great view of the beach (partial ocean view means sliver of ocean seen between buildings). However, the proximity to Haeundae beach is awesome. Went there in the morning to run and also to watch the beautiful sunrise!
Lastly, we were told that although in the U.S., Fairfield Inn gives free breakfast, in Asia, they do not. Thus we did not try the breakfast here.
Would I come back? Maybe as a solo traveler…

There are more than dozens of hotels in the area where you can stay in a better room with less money that provides better service. The room is very tiny, I mean literally sooo tiny so that one person can barely fit in the room.
The hotel service was terrible, the parking assistant and front desk personnel were very impolite and rude when I arrived at the hotel.
Moreover, there was no breakfast available when I got there.
The upgrade for higher tier members was a joke but they still bragged about it.

There were so many reasons we will not return:
In spite of the hotel being almost empty, they would not allow us to use any of our 5 yearly upgrades.
The room was tiny and difficult to get in and out of one side of the bed.
The bed was hard and not up to Marriott standards.
They said they had leased the breakfast room to someone else so they could not honor our free breakfast and they had no pantry so they could not give us the platinum elite required food credit.
The staff was nice.

An OK place to stay with a relatively good location and pricing but beware, Marriott BONVoy elite member, no free breakfast, regardless of your status.
The room is on the small side but is relatively new. The higher floor partial ocean view room is quiet.
It's within walking distance of Haeundae beach and the new capsule train ride along the coast, metro bus, and tram bus stops are nearby as well.

No bidet, room kinda small in size and no shaver kit and there is a forex exchange machine. However, the rate is not competitive enough to make us do the forex exchange though it is convenient during desperate times.
Quite convenient - near market and beach with bus 1003 going everywhere. There's a beach behind which if you walk along could lead you to the capsule train station

We started out badly with a refusal of our upgrades. Those 5 yearly perks are worthless if they keep saying no.
Then of course the Breakfast was not included. We tried it and decided it was not worth the price.
The room was not big enough for the king bed and there was no outlet my side of the bed so we had to get creative.
The bed was so hard that we could not sleep. So, we decided to check out a day early and try someplace else. In spite of the fact that we notified them more than 24 hours in advance, they refused the refund. Apparently, Marriott allows for that but being unwilling to pay for two hotels on the same night, we stayed. They offered a different room but it would have been the same bed, so...
The only things this place has going for it are the location and they do keep it clean.

Room is smaller than i thought and there is almost no space to have food or beer in the room.
This hotel is located behind Paradise hotel, easy to access the beach and food market.
But since many hotels that are closer to the beach and have bigger rooms with almost same price in this area. I'm not sure if I would stay here again or not.

Good location, 1 min away from local restaurants and coffee shops. A good choice for haeundae stays. The room was clean. The lobby had a very bright good decoration. It is by the street but the room was silent at night and during the day.
One tip: Early checkin wasnt possible at 12pm on my checkin day so i took the keys at 3pm. It is good to plan the day according to the checkin time as the area is very crowded in march and the hotels are almost full.
