not for everyone but perfect for us. Aguila hotel isa very small hotel (not more than 30-40 rooms is my guesstimate) located on the north side of the island which is away from most of the large scale hotels of Sogwipo in the south. it is in fact on an old fishermen's village land facing but not quite on the seashore as restaurant/cafe are located right in front. the entire strip is lined with hipster cafes and restaurants and a 10 min walk either way take you to surfers paradise or the old Fisherman's village. we had the private jacuzzi room which was excellent. the service is minimal so don't expect a 4 star treatment but there are enough super cool places around to make up for it and the rooftop pool is great! the price is correspondingly really really affordable so you can really enjoy as much food or activities as you wish. the island is super easy to navigate and Jeju-do residents (not always from Jeju as we find out many fled Seoul city lifestyle to settle here) are super friendly and welcoming so no issues to get around at all even if you don't speak Korean apart from a few words learnt from K-Drama. in short loved Jeju and found Aguila very refreshing !

First of all a visit to Jeju is worth a trip from the mainland. The island is really beautiful and authentic. Beaches and nature are astonishing.
We rented a motorbike and explored the island. Hotel Aguila is very well located, not directly at the beach, but that’s is oke. The pics on the website are nice but the hotel needs a renovation job.Paint the walls, fix the showers, get rid of the dirty carpets.
Staff is very friendly and kind.

The hotel advertises as located right in front of the beach / sea which is technically correct. It will be good to know however that the next accessible beach is an app. 30 minutes walk. Moreover the hotel is separated from the sea by a busy road which is the main traffic route in this area.

The hotel offers no support for families. Asking for a baby crib, there is a clear no and in return demanding that 2 parents traveling with a baby will need to rent a room with 3 beds, despite the baby being too small to actually sleep in a normal bed.

The bar and pool on the rooftop offer good views, the interior is a little dated and could do with renovation.

We received a double room and there was only one blanket on the bed. Since me and my wife cannot share a single blanket, I went down to the reception and asked for an extra blanket. To my shock, they asked for 10,000 KRW per day for the blanket! That's unheard of! We've been to dozens of hotels all around the world, and never been asked to pay for an extra blanket.

Add to that he fact that none of the receptionists speaks normal English, and you get a hotel with the worst service ever.

Believe when you read that the hotel is away from everything. Nothing in vicinity of the hotel opens before 10:30 in the morning. The room service food is ok but not for every day with a very limited selection. The facility has had its better days and is living on borrowed time. The rooms are nice and the view of the sea is scenic with a fantastic sunset over the adjacent island. The pricing is out of line with the facility as Aguila advertises itself as a much larger resort than it really is in reality, this is just a normal hotel along the volcanic rock beach without much else. The pictures used are of days gone by and not what is here now.

Stayed at Aguila Hotel in Jeju for few nights and I absolutely love the scenery. The location of the hotel is actually quite far away and it will be hard to get around without a car. We have to walk a distance to the nearest convenience stall to get food/drinks. Otherwise, it is a really relaxing place to stay during your holiday. The hotel is also very clean and we enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The deluxe room has a beautiful ocean view. It is spacious clean and comfortable.

However, the breakfast was below standard with only limited choices of food and most of the food that were supposed to be hot was lukewarm or cold. Only one staff served in the restaurant and most of the dishes were either not refilled (even fruits) or took ages to refill. The hotel appeared to be seriously understaffed.

The hotel is quite far away from town and appears to have nothing in nearby vicinity. We went to the Korean restaurant next to the hotel for dinner and their sashimi set dinner included lots of food, was superb and tasty!

I stayed at Hotel Aguila during my trip to Jeju island. The pool is amazing, it was as great view, they also have hot tubs and a free beer for your stay! The food service was great, quick and delicious. I slept so well in the bed, really comfy. The staff was really nice people, at first we had a little communication problem but I saw their willingness to help and understand me and I appreciate that a lot! I really enjoyed my stayed at hotel Aguila.
