Initially, I was attracted to the beautiful seaview and the decent looking bunkbeds. But upon arrival on the property (after a 12,500 won ride to a secluded part of Jeju), we were horrified. We really thought we are in the rural areas of Africa, the house is dirty, flies and mosquitos are everywhere. But that was tolerable until we were... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Africa Guesthouse. If you're up for a unique experience then it's great! However, I would not recommend it to people who are looking for a more typical hostel experience. Africa Guesthouse isn't near the city centre. My friends and I took a cab from Jeju City. It wasn't expensive but it's definitely a bit... More

I stayed at the Africa Guesthouse before I flew out the next day. The distance from the bus stop to the guesthouse is about a mile. I didn't like the location because there weren't any restaurant near by - you have to walk at least a mile or two to find one. There is minimal lighting on the street so... More

“When in Jeju, it is best to pick a place closer to town where you can still get food and explore the minute shopping around. Going to jeju is primary for its scenic nature, other than that, there is nothing much to do. Just remember at night and on Sundays, the place is like a dead town. Pick guesthouses with substential reviews. I learnt my lesson.”
