Excellent location in Seogwipo and possibly the most modern hotel in the vicinity. Because it was walking distance to the Maeil Olle Market I was able to go there every day to eat and to shop for souvenirs. There were numerous bus stops near the hotel so I was able to utilize them to visit major tourist attractions. I was a little scared about booking this hotel based on negative reviews but I think it’s possible that during the past 2 years (during the pandemic when the hotels weren’t utilized as much by travelers) the owner must have been able to address the negative points mentioned by other reviewers. The room was spotlessly clean and had no mold or odor. The room was quiet (I had the corner room so I am not sure how other rooms are). They have both small size and large size towels that many foreigners prefer. The AC worked really well. The room was nice and quiet that it made me less productive as a tourist because I enjoyed coming back to the hotel to rest. Definitely a bargain stay! Also the front staff desk was able to call the taxi upon my request and the taxi driver didn’t rip me off (took taxi to the airport). I would definitely stay here again and would also recommend this hotel to my family and friends!

Sold with 4 stars but slightly lower quality. Clean rooms but bathroom with accessories a bit dated as well as some pieces of furniture. Staff at reception very friendly and attentive to needs. Hearty breakfast, especially salty
right in the centre and close to Point of Sale and other venues. They have an internal parking but if the car turns out to be oversized they direct you to a parking agreement within 5 minutes walk.

Spent 3 nights here. Location is 5 star, very central and close to everything. Rooms are neat, tidy but a little tight. Reception folks not too warm, maybe it's the language barrier. Not a bad breakfast given a mix of Korea and continental offerings. However, it's says free parking on booking sites but it's actually not what one would think. We were told to drive to a location about 400m away and it's an open space gravel public parking area. First come first serve. Strangely enough I was told by reception that my car was too big, but I see many bigger cars parked there and even side parked along the parkade entrance overnight.

I stayed here a couple of years ago when the property was newer. Unfortunately it doesn't look as if basic maintenance and upkeep are a priority. Wallpaper is ripped and peeling on multiple floors and in rooms. We had mold in our shower, it wiped off easily as I wiped some off. Leads me to believe that the showers aren't getting a regular scrubbing. The only towels they will give you are hand towels, we asked for full sized towels but were told that they have new owners and they only get hand towels. It's humorous drying off with a tiny towel. It's still an ok hotel but I have to believe that there are better hotels in the area. I'm not sure that I would stay here again, it's unfortunate because 2 years ago it was a well kept property.

~4:30pm Raining
Golden Daisy Hotel
Room 1323

1. The hotel boasts valet parking, but they rejected our small 1.0L rental car (Hyundai Casper). The staff insists that our car is too tall, yet allowed other bigger cars to park. He gave us an address to an open piece of land whereby vehicles parked randomly and without security. We have to walk 5-10mins, with our luggage, unsheltered in the rain to the hotel.

2. Totally drenched, we open our room, to be greeted with strong cigarette fumes stench. We are sure we asked for a non-smoking room, and they even have a sticker beside the TV stating so. Even the bath towels smelled of the fumes. We were too tired to ask for a room change.

3. Moments later, we found that the toilet bowl was stained and dirty. This is pretty much our last straw. It means that the room was not cleaned after the last customer left.

If all these sounds like whining to you, by all means choose this hotel.

**This hotel is now called the Golden Daisy Hotel**

I unfortunately did not have a good experience at this hotel. I would advise people to find another hotel as this hotel is not a 4.5 star hotel... maybe it once was but it definitely is not now.

As the poster said below, the shower had mold that was easily wiped off. I am a big fan of controlling what you can control and cleanliness/upkeep is one of those things. The entire hotel needs a good deep cleaning. Fortunately the bed/sheets were clean (I checked!) which was a perk but you would expect that. The street is rather busy outside and even with the window closed it is noisy.

The car park is small and if you come in the evening It will be full. They wanted me to part about a 10 minute walk away in the city hall parking lot in which I declined. They found a spot for me in the car park eventually.

I will say the staff is great and spoke great English to help me. They really tried to accommodate when I asked things and was generally always smiling.

Nice central hotel, hour drive from the airport. From hotel you walk straight into the center with Point of Sale, restaurants, etc. and you are close to the coast and some waterfalls. Good parking garage, neat room, rich breakfast buffet.

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay with your friends and family when you visit Jeju Island. We stayed here for almost 2 nights and 3 days at the end of June 2021. All the staff was very cooperative and polite. The cleanliness was extraordinary.

I rented a car. Do note that the distance is pretty long, so it will cost a lot for airport transfer by taxi.

There was air con, but I don't think you can lower the temperature past a certain point. Was cool, but not cold.
