I heard it was old, but it had a nice retro feel. The atmosphere of the 1970s when Jeju Island was called Hawaii of the East 👌
The room was by the sea. It was nice to watch the sun rise from my room.
The front lobby also had a good view of the sea, and there was a walking trail that was perfect for exploring.

It's good for the price. Services and location are decent if you rent a car. Hotel is a bit old though, and the indoor pool is small as well as the gym. Don't expect any luxury, the food is ok, if a little overpriced, but you can eat out easily just a short drive away from most restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The outdoor pool always seems to be closed. The best part about this hotel was the Olle Trials. The trials around the hotel connect with others around the island, and the trials and view just outside the hotel are amazing and beautiful.

Dear Valued Guest, Matthew N, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on TripAdvisor. Your extensive and most complimentary evaluation is most kind and very much appreciated. It is lovely for us to receive such commendations from our guests and my team will be most delighted to read your review. As you mentioned the location of hotel is away from the major tourist area however, it is unique in Seogwipo City where you can enjoy the most relaxing and comfortable atmosphere while your staying. In addition beautiful garden and panoramic ocean view are available just in front of hotel too. Thank you very much for choosing our hotel once again. We appreciate you taking the time to provide your review and I am pleased to learn that you enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you back! Warm Regards, Claire Cho E-Commerce Specialist

We have stayed only for one night during short trip to Jeju. Hotel was good... probably 20 years ago, but now it is very old with old facilities and bad smell... Hotel has a nice park and is located in quite place. Comparing to other hotels in Seogwipo, price is below average and you are receiving what you pay - service is just Ok (but staff is very friendly), breakfast is quite bad (Korean style dishes only with very limited choice) and you have to pay for everything in the room!!! It is unusual for Korea where you can expect excellent service with a lot of complimentary staff. I wasn't disappointed only because it was what I expected and there wasn't any choice for that date, but for sure i will not go there second time. I wouldn't recommend to stay unless you just need to sleep somewhere overnight...

These observations are based on 3 nights (with 1 to go) at the end of August 2006.
There is a 3,000W (~$3.20 USD) charge for the typically free small bottle of shampoo “in response to the current worldwide concern for saving the environment”. A first for us; we have stayed in nearly 20 hotels so far this year, 4 in Asia.
Problems with amenities as listed on their website: • Climate control: you can control the temperature in the range of 23-25 degrees • Minibar: the 50cl bottle of scotch was 70,000W (~$75 USD) • Extra towels/bedding in room: not in our room • Makeup mirror: not in our room • In-room safe: available at the front desk only
Menu prices are similar to a 5-star property (price is the same for both room service and in the restaurant): :6,000W for a single cup of coffee or tea 15,000W for a side of ‘French Fries’ 15,000W Continental breakfast, 20,000W for “American”.
Lovely grounds on remote location; pleasant, helpful staff; rooms provide a gorgeous view of the ocean (for an additional 30,000W per night); bring cash as the ATM machine is limited to domestic cards.

We stayed for 2 nights in April, we had no choice as the Ballantines Golf Tourmament had taken over the island.
This hotel was once one of the southern part of Jeju's 5 star hotels but you only need to travel 20 minutes up the road to be amazed at how Korea and 5 Star accommodation has moved on.
Our room was expensive tiny and tired. The hotel does have lovely gardens and is set away from the town but the pool only opens for a very short holiday season.
The Concierge was helpful and we did manage to rent a car for our 5 day exploration of Jeju.

This is a classic hotel in a beautiful location overlooking the sea and surrounded by lovely gardens. It is well run and efficient. I stayed there for four days for a conference. It was good for that. My room was extremely comfortable and updated. The food was good if not the very best. An unexpected bonus is that the new walking trail that goes all the way around jeju goes right past the hotel.

The hotel is dated, but my room was renovated and the view was fantastic. Staffs were very nice and friendly. Also, this hotel has a very beautiful garden. If you are looking for a quiet hotel with a nice ocean view, I strongly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here with my wife. We liked it. Also location is good. We are really surprised when saw the breakfast buffet. All of food was delicious and tasty for us! Moreover staffs helped us for everything. The Hotel's garden was amazing we walked around and take lots of pictures here. Swimming pools (in and out) quite small old fashion. Its not good actually they have lots of empty space. As you know the hotel is old but you can't feel any bad points because of that.. By the way we chose sea view room and expected much more silent and quite environment but when we opened window we heard lots of noise from air condition system. Anyway we enjoyed here.. Thanks . (Ps: Sorry but do not look forward 5 star luxury performance here :) )

The hotel room is rather tired and carpet well worn but basically clean. There is a notice about renovations so that is likely to improve. It is a KRW3,000 (USD3) taxi from the centre of Seogwipo and about 5 minutes travel time. It is walking distance to the Seogwipo town at about 25 minutes. Some good restaurants are in town. Taxi from the Jeju airport was KRW36,000 (USD32) and 1 hour drive over the mountain. Back the other way around the west part of the island was about KRW(40,000). Great views over the ocean. Breakfast was not included and is very expensive and not really worth it

Friendly staff but overpriced for the quality of the hotel and rooms. Everything was super pricey for food and quality was not 4 or 5 star. You need to bring your own supplies...though willing to pay for great foid this place is not worth it. Buffet was only option as hotel was out of the way unless you drove or took transportation. Buffet was $40 a person for breakfast or more for dinner and quality of food was average nothing exceptional. Only part of the hotel that was upkept was the dinning and lobby. There was mold in the bathrooms, carpet was stained ever where, and the paint inside and outside was peeling. the exterior of the hotal was sad, like a forgotten gem. The view and grounds were amazing and that was the only real reason for the cost. the pool outside was closed even though still warm and they charged for use of the indoor pool area... $8 a use..not for the day. also requires pool cap. ugh...overall more stressful and not budget or really family friendly. The regular beds were super hard...no additional roll aways and you could hear the hall noise and neighbors through walls. Forgot pic of the bathroom but it was grimy with mold around tub and cracked tiles.
