One front desk service person that is super helpful is Mr. Han. He wears glasses, and is very friendly and informative when you ask him about places to visit in Jeju island. When we ask for a taxi, when he couldnt get them through the phone, he even run to the outside to help us call for a taxi from the road. When we checked in, and our room is not ready, he helped us found another room so that we do not have to wait too long to check into our room. There are other front desk person/ hotel person, but without Mr. Han, our trip to Jeju will be lost as all the other front desk person do not understand much English.
Checking in and out is a breeze and front desk staff are friendly.
Rest was good and parking space for the hotel was ample
There's a convenience store just at its door step
Ripley's and the teddy bear museums are a 5mins walk from the hotel
From the airport, we took the Airport #600 bus which stops curbside just outside the arrivals area; costs 3900Won (about $3.90) per person and takes 50 min to get to the Jungmun resort area, where the Suites Hotel is located. The bus stops right outside the hotel and is easy to get on on the way back to the airport too. As far as sightseeing goes - we hired a taxi driver through the hotel for 120,000Won ($120) who took us to the beginning of the Yeongsil trail (Mt Hallasan), Sangumburi Crater, Bijarim Forest, Seongsan Peak, Seopjikoji and Cheonjieyon Falls for a total of 8 hours.
Additionally, there are a number of museums around the hotel - Chocolate Museum, Ripley Believe it or Not, Bear museum etc., which I find a bit cheesy and did not visit.
As far as the hotel goes, it was much nicer than expected, not a huge resort, but well maintained and pretty. It must have been recently renovated (a few years back) as carpeting looked fairly new, so did some of the room furnishings.
Front desk were nice and polite, they let us check out an hour later than their standard check-out time of 12pm. I found the level of English spoken perfectly good; perhaps because I didn't have complex requests or issues to solve.
My only gripe was the prices in the restaurant, (which turns out were completely in line with the rest of the restaurants in the area) - main courses would run around 30-40-50K Won ($30-40-50) and there were no apps for less than 10K Won. The cherry on top was the fresh squeezed juice for 9K Won ($9!!).
Breakfast was not included in our room rate and costed $18per person; I thought there was a good variety of hot and cold dishes and it was a good value for money.
Our room rate was about $110 per night, taxes included and I thought the hotel was a good value for money.
Good location. Bus stop to airport just outside.
Restaurants and convenience stores nearby.
Cons
Expensive as it not really 4 star hotel. Rooms are very small. No much amenities in room. There is a small swimming pool.
There's a microwave in hallway guest can use.
Staff doesnt understand much English and not really helpful.
Hotel wil charge you if you lose your plastic room card.
I would give higher rating if the rates are lower.
Food in the restaurant was good, but we also were the only guests
Good location, walking distance to major sights in Jungmun, including waterfall, beaches, teddy bear museum, etc.
The aiport limousine bus will drop you at the front gate of the hotel, which is convenient, but don't expect porters or hotel staffs to come to greet you or carry your luggages! Receptionists are ok and speak good English.
We are definitely surprised to see our nice room on the 2nd floor with king sized bed and relatively huge room compared to other hotels we stayed in Korea. Views looking towards the pool and garden. FYI there is wiFi in the room! There is a Family Mart attached to the hotel which is really convenient. Few mins away there is a 7-eleven (near Lotte hotel). We did not dine at the hotel restaurants as i think they are definitely overpriced! But there are a few nice restaurants near the 7-eleven.
You must take the short walks to Shilla and Lotte hotels, exploring their nice gardens and paths which will take you to the beaches/ cliffs.
I would also suggest booking 1 or 2 guided tours around the island. We booked Yeha tour - 1 day trip exploring east coast.
Overall, this is a budget hotel which they provided most of our needs. Hotel services - i.e. front of staffs, porters would be a nice additional touch.
Breakfast was simple, but delicious. Hotel massage was good, aroma stone massage.
Staff were very kind.
I hope that hotel would operate outside pool at the cool season with warm water.

As mentioned in other reviews, the location was really perfect with good bus connections. Also the beach can be reached by walking 20 to 30 min.

I suppose the Suites Hotel is a good value, but that is, taking into account other options in Jungmun, such as luxury Shilla, Hyatt, Lotte, etc. So it is a good choice if you want to stay near the picturesque Jungmun beach and in the walking distance of other attractions such as Lava rock formations (Jusang-jolli) and Cheonjiyeon Falls without paying 300+ USD per nght. Still, you could opt for the smaller and much cheaper places as pensions and minbaks.
My room was very clean and quite spacy, with everything I needed (fridge, safety deposit box, electric kettle) and with a balcony, but no seaview. And I do not think any of the rooms have seaview, as the hotel is in about 10 minutes walking distance to the beach and not a tall buldingh. The walk to the beach is quite nice, though. It goes through the park of Shilla hotel. But outside it was quite noisy as buses were constantly coming and going taking in and out lots of tourists. In fact, it seemed crowded even in October. One event (conference, symposium etc.) followed another. The ocean was still warm in the end of October, it feeled like +23, but nobody was sweeming - that is Korea :) The Suites hotel does have an outdoor swimming pool, but also I am not sure it was open for swimming in October.
OK, so far it was good. But there is a big disadvantage here as well, and it is food!! The hotel keeps a restoran with Western food, such as pizza, pasta, steak, but the food seems to be significantly overpriced. For example, the cheapest dish on the menu was pizza, and it was 20 USD and nothing spectacular. But still, I have to call this a "value" as the nearby hotels offer even more expensive food. Oddly enough, there are no restaurants in the area aside from the ones in the hotel, only Lotteria (Korean Mcdonalds).
