I booked Jeju trip for three nights. Out of those three, I spent two nights in the eastern part of Jeju in different hotel. Out of curiousity I booked this hotel because when I visited Seoguipo in mid 2010's, I had a chance to walk by and was impressed with landscaping.
As soon I checked in, I knew I made a mistake. I should have spent whole three night in this facility. What's striking for me is that the place's ambience is absolutely uncomparable to any where I visited. Normally, traditional korean style "stays" emphasize bit of gothic style with monotic roof tiles which only rich and privileged have enjoyed and bit fake.
But this place has absolutely traditional common village of yester year's of Korea. The small alleys winding around each units and carefully groomed plants ensuring privacies of guests.
Staff's are amazing. These aren't just repeatedly trained staff's whose automatic apologies seem very robotic. They genuinely care guests and I am wondering how this small facility retain such fantastic staffs.
I highly recommend to book with family, friends for multiple nights. Accomodations are great and just sit around and looking out bring out the very definition of "healing experience."
Pros: Fantastic experince. Amazing landscaping with careful architecture. Well maintained with facility with great servicing area. Want a genuine traditional village with modern comfort. Great staffs!
Cons: Bit retro with mechanical keys and showing bit of age. No direct beach access. If you are a beach head, may not be for you.

It is a wonderful boutique hotel in a very nice spot of the island. Traditional house and large rooms, view on the sea and sunset. 2 very nice restaurants :Italian and BBQ style. Staff is very nice and helpful but not always easy to communicate in English. Recommend the spa and their amazing massage.

This is such an AMAZING place. I didn't know how great this place is before I experienced.
Right by the ocean, traditional atmosphere, beautiful garden with heavenly floral scent…ahhhh… yet modern interior, nice staff, quite and low key... Whenever I walk into the garden to go to my suite...Ahhhh..I am already on cloud nine. If you live in a city and work hard, this is the vacation for you. You totally deserve it!
The breakfast had 5 different options including a choice of American breakfast and 4 different kinds of local Korean breakfast food. uhmmm so good.
There is an Ole cafe, has a real good espresso. And reasonably priced house wine. perfect to have a sip looking over the beautiful sea.
Every night there is Jeju black pork all you can eat BBQ at the garden. totally worth trying.
One of the best things is the Spa in the hotel. It wasn't even that expensive to start with. Plus you can even get 10-20% discount if you are a hotel guest. 1hr aroma oil massage was something like $70! It can't be better!
The hotel is in the middle of beautiful hiking track, Olle. easy to take a beautiful ocean side walk. also if you walk only 10 mins, there is a crazy sea cliff with volcanic hexagon rock formation. Such spectacular view! This is something that I saw on national geography about Ireland. I wanted to go to Ireland to see this rock formation. I unexpectedly found it here!
I have been to Shilla and Hyatt jeju hotel. but Seaes is the different level of hotel. This time we just went to have dinner at shilla, I couldn't take the crowd and craziness. It just feels like a gigantic Zoo or artificial amusement park.
Only con is they don't have a swimming pool. If you want romantic or quite family vacation, this is THE place. but if you want to swim in the pool, you may go somewhere else. But why would you swim in the hotel pool while you have fantastic aqua beach nearby?
I was just so in love with the place and the hotel. If you go there, you will know what I am talking about.. Enoy!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Seaes resort in October 2010 and found it to be most relaxing. The suite had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The staff were very courteous and the food in the restaurant was lovely. A trip to the beach (Jungmun) was well worth it, lots of tv/movies are filmed here. Highly recommend for anybody staying on Jeju island!

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days in October 2012. I picked this hotel among other hotels in Jung Moon area because the architectural style was very unique, designed after Jeju island’s traditional houses. Even though there were a couple of things I wish that hotel can improve in the near future, overall I and my family enjoyed this hotel during our stay.
Location: This hotel was located close to Jeju ICC (International Convention Center) which is away from the big hotel area. On the way to the hotel, there was a small strip mall including a convenient store, star buck coffee and some restaurants. Walking to those looked a bit challenging because it is going up the steep hill of approx. 1km. During our stay, ICC site was under construction hammering rocks and creating noise only during daytime.
The first impression: The hotel looked exactly I expected; small, cozy not crowded, reminiscent of Jeju folk village. Parking lot to reception building was 2 min. of walking. There was a bit of space in front of reception building but it seemed very limited to turn around the car. So we parked the car at the parking lot and located the two booked rooms first. In order to get to the rooms, there were two ways; either passing through reception area which is faster, or walking around the reception building. Unfortunately accessible to reception building was not wheelchair friendly with stairs and deep transitions. So we took a long walk dragging our luggage from parking lot to the room. I found many other areas in this hotel were not wheelchair friendly. It would have been nice if the hotel can improve in this matter.
At the reception desk We needed a baby cart. The hotel provided a baby cart for free of charge and the cart was a good one. When I asked for a vicinity map (around 5km radius), they did not have one. It would have been considerate if hotel can provide this type of map.
Restaurant: There were a nice restaurant and a café looking out the beautiful sea. On the first day, I booked the Jeju special pork BBQ at the restaurant. It cost 51,000 won per person. It was a kind of buffet but the restaurant provided meat as we asked for more. The meat was served on the warm stone plate and very delicious, but after a while the plate got cold and they did not change the plate. It would have been nicer if people can have the meat directly from the grill. Breakfast was included in a room. There were 4 options and all of them were good.
Room: I booked the two garden suite rooms (39m2) for 4 adults and 1 child. One of room was for my brother’s family who has a child. The rooms were very nice with small terrace in front. I found the room for my brother’s family had one bedding set for the extra person to sleep on the floor. I was expecting sofa bed, so I asked reception desk if anything can be provided for that room. They said that all rooms have heated floor system and extra person is supposed to sleep on the floor. He said this is normally explained at the time of reservation and this hotel’s target customer is Korean. Sleeping on the heated floor is very well understood in Korean custom. Since I booked through a travel agency, it was not explained. The floor heating system on my room side seemed not working. No matter how high temperature I set, I did not feel warmth on my foot. So I ordered extra bedding set for my brother’s room. It cost 30000 won per night. Later I found out my brother’s room’s floor system worked. This hotel is very unique and designed with absolute beauty of Jeju Island. I saw all the time how much hotel staffs put an effort to take care of the hotel in and outside. Sleeping on a floor is not well understood for many foreign customers. I hope this hotel can accommodate the needs of those foreign customers. So I wish many more foreign customers could get to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of this hotel in near future.

I had stayed in Ocean Suite room with wooden pool. (There's only 1 wooden pool ocean suite. other's have marble pool) with my husband and son. After I used the pool, I though marble one could be better. Room has luxury audio system, king size bed, good view terrace. Outside room, it looks like Korean traditional village itself. You can enjoy and refresh in grassplot. My son and we all really pleased this atmosphere. Resort has a private spa operated just weekend. If you want to use it, must reserve before and additional KRW50,000. Front, Restaurant staffs friendly. I could choose breakfast memu 1 among 4 style and in room or at restaurant optional. The place this hotel located 'Joongmoon' area is best main area in Jeju island, many restaurants, things to do. I recommend this hotel to all my friends.

This is a beautiful resort located away from the disturbance from the city. Since its located over the hill, the views from the hotel is breathtaking. Restaurant is good and staffs are helpful. Gardens are well kept.

We stayed here for one night and were fairly happy with our experience. The staff were wonderful, a highlight of our stay for sure, their language skills perfectly accommodating and their attitudes always friendly. Breakfast was wonderful too: LOTS of eggs and salad with toast and delicious coffee served on the deck. Our room was beautiful and clean but not quite nice enough to warrant such an extravagant price however; the Japanese soaking tub out front was particularly disappointing, what with its broken wobbly faucet and the random bits of natural detritus laying in the bottom (it was an open-air tub to be fair, but it clearly hadn't been scrubbed in a few days). Despite its flaws we still had a great time at The Seaes, but next time we'll save some money and go elsewhere.

Paid for W260k just for a deluxe room that comes with breakfast. Website is in korean, after few attempts i was able to contact with the staff to make a reservation. The location was in Jungmun, the main tourist area of Jeju.
Rooms are build to look 'korean'. Small and old room, old furnitures and wires on the floor. No swimming pool. The resort area is not very big, but the view was very pretty. The BBQ dinner was very expensive, we opted to eat out which cost only half the price! Staff could speak english/chinese so communication was fine. At the time we checked in..it was raining and it took quite a trouble to get to our room(due to the uncovered walkways n no bellboys carry our luggage!)
Conclusion:Overpriced accommodation that is not up to par. I'd rather stay at some pensions nearby

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel, we wanted a more traditional accommodation compared to the big hotel chains on the island, unfortunately sometimes it’s better to stick with the world renowned ones. We arrived on the 25th of june early evening and we checked in, went to the room and asked one of the front desk employees to see if we could pay to upgrade to a better room, as this one was so small, and he said no, went online saw they had rooms, really annoying. The A/C in the room was the loudest thing ever, and there was a smell coming from it, absolutely horrible, the furniture was old, the bathroom was outdated, and kind of dirty, no storage for luggage, so we could barely move in the room. We went to dinner in the hotel restaurant, on the terrace there’s an ad saying “signature cocktails”, asked about that, and they said they don’t have anything. So we got into the restaurant, you can only eat inside, although the setup outside is really beautiful, the staff spoke poor to no English, very difficult to understand what the food contains when people speak only Korean in a 5star hotel. So we got whatever other people had, 70,000krw/person, a lot of food arrived, a lot of it went to waste as it was impossible to eat so much. Very tasty, but not worth the price. If you want coffee after dinner, you need to go somewhere else, as they cannot bring it to you, super annoying, the coffee shop is 2 steps away. The most common word used in the hotel is NO. Very good coffee, but so expensive, 18,000 krw for one cappucino and one espresso. There was one lady at the front desk who was extremely helpful and we thank her for that. I had a massage which was very nice, and the lady was super nice as well, but again prices are super high, 180,000 krw. It rained one the day i had the massage and they don’t give you any slippers or good quality bathrobe, i took an umbrella, one of the rude guys said bring it back before you leave, i left it at the entrance of the spa, and when i left it was gone. Anyways, very, very bad service, the hotel is a 3 star, the personnel is not trained, no skills, nothing. A group of people arrived while we were in the garden and we were asked to LEAVE as they wanted to take a picture. YOU CANNOT DO THAT in any kind of hotel, restaurant, etc, clearly the manager has no manners, no respect for its guests. We were so excited to arrive to Jeju island and to enjoy our “nice” hotel, and we felt the hotel was one of the worst we stayed in. Please don’t come, it’s that bad!
