We arrived at the hotel /apartment complex and checked in, when we arrived at our room it was as if we had been transported back in time!
The room was so dated with dated and faded decor, the bathroom was the size of a restroom on an aircraft. This included a shower over a bath which when you stood in it were in danger of going through, also NO shower curtain so when anyone has a shower the whole (small) room was awash fro the shower.
It was a two bedroom apartment, one with a double bed with the thinnest pillows ever, the second bedroom had no bed and you had mattresses to sleep on the floor. Our party was my parents-in-law, aunt an my wife and I.
We had arranged this visit to spend a birthday celebration for my wife and also to celebrate my wife's parents 50th wedding anniversary where they had spent their honeymoon on Jeju (Perhaps the Kensington was from that era?)

We asked whether they had other rooms but it was fully booked.
Would I go back?
No.
Would I recommend it?
It is not the worst place I have stayed and perhaps other rooms in other part of the hotel complex may be better.
Not sure.

Also, because it was the end of season on Jeju the pool complex was closed so this was a minus.

Purpose of stay:
Weekend trip/getaway from Geoje for the Jeju Trail Run.

What did we get:
Double room on first floor, garden view. Clean with large bathroom, Molten and Brown products.

Good things:
Beautiful, large and luxurious. Infinity pool is stunning, degustation at restaurant was scrumptious and good value.

Not so good things:
Couldn't get a takeaway coffee at 0800, was told we had to buy the entire buffet to get the coffee. Expect a bit more from a hotel of this size es personalised service.

Anything amazingly awesome or horrifically abominable:
We requested a taxi to go to the casino. The staff couldn't get a hold of a taxi so they gave us a ride in the Hotel's jag. Nice touch.

Would I recommend to others:
Yes, after considering other options.

I loved the location of the hotel. And it is beautiful. Some amazing arts and crafts integrated into the interior look. The ceramic wall is fabulous, as are other touches.
The service is good, but not great. Perhaps it is influenced by the laid back island atmosphere, but it certainly can get a bit of an improvement. Not everywhere. At times it was excellent but a bit inconsistent.
The musical performances (afternoon, evening) were terrific. Not only high quality, but also friendly and accessible. Loved it.
The room - no complaints there. Good.
If I came back to the area I'd consider returning. The positives outweighed the negatives.

I traveled with my family in a renovated room with a sea view and it was great! I have been to other hotel resorts in Jeju, but I think Kensington Resort is the best for a family trip. Even if you are a family with children or all adults, if you are a family member who gets along well and feels sad when you go out to play and have to share separate rooms, there is really no place like this. Haha, praise my choice!

It's nice to have a small room with two twin beds and a separate room with a queen bed, and you can see the open view from the window as soon as you enter!!! The room condition was very good and the interior was really modern and neat, so it was a pleasant trip.

There is an extra closet next to the entrance and one in each bedroom, so you can keep your luggage neatly organized without having to leave things cluttered, so you can feel at ease. The room with the double bed had a sofa next to the sea view window, so I could take a cool nap during the day. The living room sofa and table were spacious, so it was perfect for watching TV and chatting with family until late at night.

Ashley's breakfast seems to be Kensington Resort's best advantage. My family and I love Resort Cock and Hotel Cock wherever we go, but I was wondering if we should go out for dinner because we might get sick of eating in just one place. But I didn't need to worry about that at all haha. Breakfast was Ashley's buffet, lunch was Ashley's steak and buffet, and dinner was Dolmirong BBQ. We ate until we were full for two days. We didn't get tired of it. In the end, we didn't have to go out of the resort as our family did. Yes haha

When I felt full, I took a walk along the resort's promenade, Gangjeongcheon Olle Trail, and the sea right next to it. The walking path is so beautifully made that it is truly healing. I will never forget watching the ocean sunset while swinging with my mom. Next time, I definitely plan to come in the summer and have even more fun at the swimming pool.

I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff upon check-in, and was very satisfied with the view and condition of the renewed room. The walking path is well maintained, so you can enjoy the garden, the sea, and Gangjeongcheon Stream for healing. The breakfast and lunch I had at Ashley Queens were very delicious~^^ I came to Kensington Resort Seogwipo before Chuseok and was completely healed~^^

It was a very comfortable and good hotel for families to stay with a great view!!
It was a bit disappointing that I couldn't use the swimming pool because it wasn't summer...
The breakfast was delicious and I had a comfortable rest.
I'll have to stay longer next time

As soon as I entered the lobby, the staff was very friendly. The lobby was very pretty and the walking path was nice. The coffee was also very delicious. They sell specialty products at reasonable prices, and Ashley was nice too. I stayed in a newly renovated room and it was very clean and nice.

This is really a sad review because there are so many wonderful things about this hotel. The hotel staff is the best part of the hotel, from the time we arrived there for our three day stay they were very helpful and informative. The little grandma in the CU store was also a delight and was helpful in finding restaurants around the area.
The view from our room was beautiful (ocean view) and one would think things are going well for this hotel...until you see the room!!!!

By far the most disappointing thing that destroyed this wonderful visit was the room itself. The floors, wallpaper, tiles and fixtures were in grave repair, the furniture was shabby and stained like it was used in an elementary school art room. The room floor heating was on, so the room was a roasting 28c and fortunately the A/C worked to combat that. There were no shower curtain in the bathroom and the mirror was so water damaged that we didn't couldn't use it.
This hotel restaurant is another area of concern, during our three day stay, no one and I mean "no one" ate there. The waiter were there reading a newspaper and I doubt he saw us coming in or going out.

I was willing to give this hotel some redemption, so on our second day visit, I asked to view another room (just in case it was a fluke) I was given keys to two other rooms A402 and B4?? and they were worst than the current room we were in. How sad!!!

This hotel has so much promise as being a true resort hotel if they would do one simple thing, and that is REMODEL THE ROOMS!!!! Until they fix this basic thing that sells a hotel anyway, I'm afraid we will not be back to visit, at that is a tragedy.
