This hotel is now Shinshin Hotel Jeju Worldcup. Stayed for a couple of nights. Amazing value for the price, although the room itself may deserve only three-stars. Amenities were decent (disposable amenities were for sale). Two bottles of water were provided. Wifi was fast without an issue. Did not have a chance to dine in. There seemed to be a rooftop garden, but I did not have time and weather did not permit.

Somewhat off the tourist areas. One block away from Hanaro mart. A stop for Bus 600 that connects the Jeju Intl Airport is right around the corner. There is another bus stop where one can take a bus to Seogwipo and Jungmun can be reach by walking 10 minutes.

New hotel (within the last ~year) that has a nice clean modern feel to it. Rooms meet all the basic needs; comfortable bed, good A/C, excellent free no-password WiFi, TV has over a hundred channels (almost all Korean, of course), well designed bathroom including modern Toto toilet, and I even had a nice view of the picturesque island/rock from my 6th floor room. Fast elevators are always a plus. Gym, laundry room, massage service, and breakfast room are in the basement. Breakfast was fabulous - had fish soup, rice, beef stir-fry, kimchi etc. every morning (some western offerings too)(see my pictures). The reception desk is staffed 24 h/day; some of the staff manage some english but all are very friendly and try to be helpful. Everyday, someone at the reception desk would very helpfully write out in Hangul the name and/or directions to lava tube attractions or a restaurant I wanted to go to so that I could hand these to the cab drivers (out of 10 taxi rides, only one could understand any English). There is one ATM in the area, across the street, but it accepts only domestic cards. I enjoyed my experience at this hotel, especially with the great Korean breakfast start of each day.

In a 5-10 minute walk down the hill or west, there is a wide range of restaurants; at the bottom of the hill, next to the stadium by the water is an E-mart (kind of like a Walmart, but better, and with extensive food market and cooked food). I was in the "East" version of this hotel that has two separate but related versions across the road from each other; there is a 7-11 next to the other one. A bus stop connects to the 800 bus which goes to the airport but a taxi is only about $30 and gets you there much faster. The international convention center is about $9 taxi ride to the west and the main city of Seogwipo with a more extensive food street etc. is about 2-1/2 km in the other direction.

This hotel has a west and an east block located across a road. We stayed in Ramada Encore East Seogwipo, just to get the name correct. It was not in our rental car driving GPS database. Understandably so since it is located in a newly developed area with straight long roads.

Space was tight. Parking was either through the lift system to go up the building or around the junction upslope behind the hotel where some open space over yellow dirt surface was made into the hotel car park lots. Parking lots in front of the office building beside the hotel were not meant for hotel guests. We were told off by a worker from the office there. This information on parking should be more proactively passed on to the hotel guests during check-in, especially to non-Korean speaking guests.

The valet service was quick and helpful though and it was free of charge.

Likewise, the reception was warm and helpful.

The rooms were small but clean. There was a small fridge with complementary mineral water provided. The aircon was individually controlled in each room and was functioning well. The shower water pressure was strong and water optimum temperature reached within a minute. Excellent.

And the best part, there were free laundry machines located in the hotel.

We could see Mt Hallasan from the lift lobby at higher floors.

There was a bakery and a cafe at the hotel lobby. Dining options were plenty about five minutes drive away. However, communication could be a problem if you don't speak Korean. We were glad to have discovered a Kyochon Korean Fried Chicken joint just about five minutes drive away. The staff there speak English and one speak Chinese. Check with the hotel concierge for directions.

E-mart supermarket was about ten minutes drive away next to the World Cup Stadium.

I went here in summer, August 2018 and just stayed one night. Overall, the hotel is good. I think the location is convenient as the hotel closes to minimart and stores. Room is clean and minimalist. I didn't have breakfast here as I lost my bfast coupon (I came on a group tour). What a bit surprised me (bcz I stayed in this hotel) that when I wanted to borrow an umbrella, it's not free.

Good solid hotel located in a quiet part of the city. Triple room was spacious enough for 3 friends and the private Bathroom w/ bidet was fantastic. 7/11 in Lobby was also great. Largely a domestic/ business oriented hotel however a great choice if traveling with own transport.

The hotel itself was nice, clean and modern and the rooms small but adequate and very comfortable beds. My disappointment refers to the huge building works at rear of the hotel which started at 6.40am every morning. Dozens of builders banging and hammering on massive foundations. I complained at reception but was not offered any compensation. There was no mention of this work when booking. Also the restaurant was only open at breakfast time. There was nowhere to eat lunch or dinner. The other Ramada across the road had a pizza place but that was shut one night. Absolutely NO restaurants in the vicinity. The patisserie sold very little, the shelves were mostly empty. Would not recommend.

Our room was a welcome sight for weary travelers. Everything was clean and fresh. We appreciated the complimentary guest robes and slippers. We had fun figuring out the control settings on the heated toilet seat/bidet/butt washer because we couldn't read Korean writing! And the breakfast buffet was wonderful.

The only reason I rated only 4 stars was due to a design flaw in the closets: the hanger bar was over 6 feet (2 m) high. Short people like me would surely be at a disadvantage.

Middle rated hotel but clean and comfortable. Difficult to set air conditioner for foreigners because of control all on Korean Language.
Reception personnel very kind and friendly but not extremely comfortable in English.
Terrible position: in the middle of nowhere.

We stayed at the east wing of the hotel, which was new and clean. The hotel is situated on a slope surrounded by offices and training center, hence the surrounding was quiet and not much of traffic. Having said that, there wasn't any restaurant nor convenient store nearby as well.

The hotel does provide a free ride to E-Mart, which is also where the Seogwipo Intercity Bus Terminal is located. However, please take note that there is only 1 ride in the morning at 9.50am. Miss that and you will have to either take a taxi or walk at least 20 minutes. Of course, if you are driving, this wouldn't be of any concern.

Plus point is the hotel does provide two washing machines with dryer at the basement if you are running out of fresh clothes. It's a self-service laundry. You would find a microwave and bottle sterilizer next to the washing machines and some workout gym equipment in the same hall.

if you are up for a view, just go to the rooftop. From there, you would be able to see Hallasan on one side of the building, and the sea on the other side. Do go up for a sunrise or sunset, it's quite a view.

The hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere. Travelers who do not have a plan to rent a car. I do not suggest this place. It is quite inconvenient if u don't have a car. It is a brand new hotel. Clean literally. I liked the room. However, bathroom is separated into two cubicles. One is exclusively for toilet and the other is for shower. There is no jacuzzi. Sadly.

Travelers those who don't have a plan to rent a car, I strongly do not suggest this place.
