We stayed in Deluxe room on the first floor for 9 nights. We were very happy to stay in such a great place as Susanthas. Room that consisted of two separate rooms (sleeping room and guests room) was very big, had plenty places and spaces to store our staff. Room had also an air-conditioner (very useful during hot days) and...

Susantha's reminded me of the old colonial days of the Raj. The rooms had a living area with old fashioned (but lovely)furniture, a bedroom with 4 poster bed and nets and a bathroom. Also, a terrace with huge lounging chairs. I felt that all we needed was a "punka walla" Very relaxed atmosphere. Very beautiful view into the tropical garden....

We did not stay at this hotel, but found the restaurant, which is open to the public, to be better than any of the other restaurants we tried, including the Taj, where we were staying. The food is very good and good value. The restaurant is open air, with seating also available in the gardens, which are lovely. The staff...

We stayed at the nearby Serendib Hotel on Bentota Beach but took every opportunity to escape that concrete jungle to enjoy freshly prepared food and reasonably priced drinks at Susantha'a restaurant/bar. It was an attractive garden setting, with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and happy to welcome guests from the larger hotels. We had lunch there most...

I was in bentota during september, although i did not stay at Susanthas, I cannot praise the staff enough. Susanthas was my daily lunchtime venue and also in the evenings sometimes. The staff are so attentive, friendly and just fantastic. You cannot fault the service there at all. The food was great and reasonable price too. I plan to return...

I stayed here for two nights; the staff were very kind and friendly, going out of their way to help me. The food was also great. The room was big enough and had a good sized bathroom. However, there were a lot of bugs. The mosquito nets need to be washed because there are all these dead bugs clinging to...

“Depends on the price--the AC and no AC varies according to your budget. There are family suites--bungalows with 2 rooms and a pantry and sit out. 4 persons can stay in these very comfortably.”

“If you can't handle the heat, go for an air-con room. THe old rooms don't have much of a view, there are some new rooms with a better view. You don't get much in terms of view compared to the pricier hotels on the beach.”
