Lovely hotel in a perfect location! Amazing original floors and fantastic swimming pool! Probably the dream house bathroom😬 delicious food as well as lovely staff taking care of us. You can enjoy a lovely sunrise and sunset from the fort walls.

This is an absolutely stunning hotel. I am lucky to have stayed here several times over the past several years and since my last visit two years ago, the hotel is running beautifully. The property looks fabulous, the glorious old hotel is in top shape. I stayed in Suite 28 overlooking the gardens and the suite was very large, comfortable...

I went for New Year's Eve, and although service was excellent the place just was not special enough. There is no correlation in Aman between the prices charged and the product delivered. It appears that Amans are famous for being famous or famous for being expensive. The special something is missing.

this hotel was a major renovation of an old classical hotel in galle. the rooms are not as spacious as in a usual aman but the charm is all there. the hotel was very well kept except for a slight mildew odor in one of the rooms which the hotel remedied immediately. i loved the 4 poster bed and traditional...

We have stayed in many Aman properties around the world, and this was our least favorite to date. The positives: the property is beautiful and it typical Aman fashion they have done a great job of keeping the old colonial style/feel throughout. Why I didn't give it 5 stars: 1. In general I didn't find the staff very friendly and...

We stayed in a corner suite on the third floor which had great views over the fortress. Very nice room - high ceilings, old colonial style but bright and airy. The property was the usual Aman style and standard - not too cluttered, in keeping with local history and environment and generally (will write about one unfortunate exception later) fast...

We stayed 3 days at the Amangalla in mid December 2016. It is a beautiful hotel conveniently located inside of the Galle Fort within walking distance to all Fort attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful. The swimming pool (21 meters long) is very nice and warm. The spa is very expensive by Sri Lanka standards but still nice if...

If you have the budget, then stay at this hotel you will not be disappointed. We stayed in the garden house, which is a separate building off the main hotel block / set of rooms near the pool and it felt like we had our own private house. The service at the hotel is outstanding, from food to excursions, no...

Our favourite hotel in Sri Lanka and one of the best hotels we have ever been to! The building has a great history as a hotel and the Aman work-over has given a close eye to history and feel of the building. No expense spared on. The fit-out and period furniture, whilst everything has a modern feel to it. Service...
