We started our tour of Sri Lanka from this hotel. It was conveniently located not far from Colombo Airport and served as a great overnighter.
The rooms were basic, clean and comfortable. Our room had a huge patio that overlooked the sea.

We spent there our first four nights at Sri Lanka, and it was the right choice. Friendly staff, nice and clean room and very delicious food.

Very nice hotel, clean rooms and pool.
Food was good, but we do recommend a short tuk -tuk ride to Prego's for superb Italian food for those who prefer european after weeks with curry.
Special thanks to Nishadi (guest relations officer) for excellent service!

I would recommend Camelot Beach Hotel which has much nicer gardens and pool (2 pools) and is closer to the shops and restaurants. Goldi Sands is a bit cut off from the main area and the beach in front of the hotel is not very nice. Camelot and Goldi are in the same price bracket. Half board is usually the best value. Eating out is not too expensive. September should be OK.
