First, the B&B is great. We had a big room, really nice en-suite, fridge, free water, clean and so on. The family that run it are really friendly, providing a weather forecast over breakfast each day and even driving us back to Xincheng to hire scooters and acting as translator with the scooter guy. Just be warned, there are no... More

Guest house owner was very friendly and passionate about his tribes heritage in the region. Rooms were clean and spacious and the garden was beautiful. Breakfast was more of the Asian style but well presented.

This beautiful B&B is located just outside Taroko gorge national park. The gardens are superb, the rooms are modern, well furnished and clean. The owners speak some English and were very helpful. Bikes can be rented to take into the park and to go into town or to check out the beach. Good to note it is a small town... More

It's only a few minutes away from the park, that makes our visiting so easy, and if you don't feel like driving there, there are bicycles provided by the owners and you can cycle around the vicinity. The room is nice and clean. The staff are helpful. We are sure that when we return to your city, we will go... More

The owner was so helpful with any issues that I needed help with. He took a lot of pride in his home area and spent time explaining both the cultural significance of many aspects of the area as well as suggestions as to how to get the most out of my trip. My room was exceptional with all the comforts... More

It's only a few minutes away from the park, that makes visiting so easy, and if you don't feel like driving there, the owner also provides bicycles. The room is nice and clean, the shower is hot and with spring water, so the owner also warned us not to take the shower too late, otherwise the spring water makes you... More

Ok ok this bed and breakfast is really nice. A good place, calm and sweet. Beautiful house. Room are big, and beautiful. Staff speak english and chineese. But this house is far away from all attractions or restaurants in taroko gorges. I think it is a good location if, like us, you rent a motorcycle or a car to ride... More

The very best B&B you can find in the Taroko National Park. We enjoyed it very much! Stayed here for two nights to explore the Taroko. The owners are very nice and helpful and know a lot about the scenery. They provide maps and free use of mountain bikes. The rooms are very comfortable, big and very clean! We found... More

We stayed at this little bed and breakfast right near the entrance of the Taroko National Park. The room was well appointed and comfortable. We can even see the ocean from our room. The owner speaks English and a traditional style breakfast (rice, fried egg, toast, stir fried vegetables) is included. The room includes free wifi and mini frig.

Small (7 rooms) locally run B&B at the entrance to Taroko Gorge. Unfortunately we arrived late and exhausted and the owner didn't recognise this and proceeded to tell us all about the eco nature of the B&B, local history etc which was all a but much. But the owner is very enthusiastic and loved to chat about his Aboriginal background... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
“Crossing the Rainbow Bridge” (muda hakaw utux) is the highest practice of Truku personal values. The tribal people refer to the “Rainbow Bridge” from hakaw (bridge) and utux (spirit). The rainbow is the totem symbol of the tribal spirits. In Truku's traditions, only those who observe the moral code of gaya will be eligible to cross the Rainbow Bridge and meet up with ancestors. The theme of the “Crossing the Rainbow Bridge” Bed and Breakfast is based on Truku culture. This landscaping effect combines with traditional culture to produce a deep and elegant cultural introduction. ... more   less
