If not for the cute receptionists working the night shift, I would probably rate this hotel at 2 stars. Jk! Overall a pleasant experience. For the price, it is good value. Walking distance to the taichung railway station (not the hsr) and a 20 mins cab ride to fengchia night market. Toiletries could be better but expected for a hotel...

Seems people over rated this hotel. Service was good but the room is just so so only. Picture on the website looks "WAAAA" but once you arrived, its an old building. Location wise to the train station was close.

The lobby does not tell the story. It is all shiny and new with lost of staff with nothing to do. The rooms are old and the bathroom reminds me of Shanghai hotels in the 1980s. If you are more than 5 feet tall, you will find the beds and the bathroom way too small. This is no bargin.

The hotel is pretty centrally located . The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The room is large but very dated and smells a bit "old" the beds are firm and comfortable. All of the rooms are mini suites with a large family room with a large table, TV and small refrigerator. My room on the third floor had a...

First the pros: The hotel is centrally located; the family room we booked (for 2 adults, 2 kids) included a large table with four chairs in a sitting/dining/work space separated from the sleeping area by a large glass window; the beds were quite comfortable and the linens were clean; and the breakfast was serviceable. Now the cons: Aside from the...

The hotel is an old and trusted one ! Its proximity to the bus and train stations is a big plus factor. The rooms are spacious and the one given to us is with a conference table. I don't like the buffet breakfast though.. 100 Chinese breakfast .. But still ok! Still the hotel is best in functionality and a...

Originally, we have booked for our 3-night stay at Twin Star Hotel, which is about 2mins walk from this hotel. However, when we arrived at Twin Star, we were told to come to this hotel instead (they belong to the same group, gohotel) as the hotel made a mistake of showing the wrong hotel in the online "hotel booking system"....

Staff was professional and friendly. Hotel is ideally located within walking distance to local markets, shopping mall, restaurants, and train station. Free internet. The breakfast was mostly traditional Taiwanese food. Rooms were dated but clean. The outdoor patio from our room did not have any chairs.

Stay in this hotel during my Taichung trip in January 2014. First time here. Nothing much nearby the hotel. No easy to find. But near to a mega mall and Taichung bus terminal. Breakfast is the same everyday in the hotel. Good for 1 night stay. There is better choices out there.
