We spent one night at Rivertrees at the start of our safari and it was the perfect place to recover from our long journey. The rooms were great, we were in the old farmhouse and we had a large lounge area and terrace as well as our two rooms, all decorated in a very colonial style. The grounds of the...

The hotel itself is fine - quaint and rustic comes to mind. The transport is another story. Our inbound flight was rescheduled to an hour earlier. Our prior hotel called Rivertrees to notify them that we would be early. When we walked outside the airport, no one was there to greet us despite having already prepaid for transport. We called...

We spent a few days here relaxing after some travel. It was perfect for the kids! Enough to do to stay busy, but a very peaceful place to just veg. John took us on a bike ride tour of the surrounding area which was a hit!

Although we only stayed here one night, we loved it! We arrived very late from the airport so we didn't see how truly beautiful the grounds are until the next morning. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. And everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious too! My daughter has food allergies, and I had noticed a "room board"...

Our flights took longer than expected and we arrived after 11PM, but were still met with warmth and energy. The room was like something from a travel magazine, beautiful with mosquito netting and all. We had a midnight glass of wine on our balcony, listening to the Usa River before turning in. Up early for breakfast overlooking huge trees with...

After 13 hour flight we were driven the short distance to Rivertrees and it surpassed our expectations by far. Expecting little more than a B and B we walked into a beautifully laid out little thatched settlement with separately planned luxurious cottage, pool and open dining room. The food was good, the staff friendly and efficient and the management approachable....

My Wife and I stayed in this wonderful lodge. It was great to be able to unwind after a long flight in preparation for our 16 day camping safari. We were greeted by Larry and shown to our spacious room No 7. Very comfortable bed, ample room, daily supply of drinking water. Wifi was good and we had no power outage....

Following the long flights from London, this lodge was only a short drive from the airport and a great place to relax and unwind for a night before heading off to Tarangire on safari the next day. The lodge was great, food good with very friendly staff, shame we had to leave straight away but it set us up ready...

Great place to stay pre & post Kilimanjaro climb. Staff was extremely attentive, meals were good and it has a lovely "personal feel". Several of the rooms are great for families, with large common/shared space. Electricity can be spotty, but that is true anywhere in this area. - thumbs up!

We stayed here for one night after a long flight from England. Just what was needed. It is set in a lovely garden setting. We had a large well appointed bedroom with a spacious bathroom - both bath and shower. Swift service and an excellent breakfast. The whole experience set us pefectly for the safari ahead.
