We stayed in a small room (without mosquito net) with a shared bathroom. The water was only hot sometimes, but the bathroom was clean. The staff was friendly and the room quite cheap. The best thing about this place is definitely a nice restaurant on the roof with good food, wi-fi connection and a nice atmosphere. It's very loud, but...

This place is perfectly fine for one night. The rooms are a bit noisy but comfortable enough. The shared bathrooms are far from the cleanest but OK. Dickson who checked me in was lovely and woke me up the next morning to make sure I didn't miss my bus. There is a bar/restaurant with free wifi on the roof. Overall...

I stayed in a single room on two different occasions in Arusha. The singles are tiny (they are a bit prison-like) but very clean and still fairly cheerful. The ones on the end have windows, so ask to see a few different ones until you find one you like. The electrical outlets in my rooms didn't work and the hot...

If you're looking for a budget and comfortable option Arusha Backpackers will be the best choice! The place is clean, safe, has a nice restaurant, WiFi and it's close (10 min.walk) to the bus station. We spend there only 1 night before our journey to Dar, and the only minus was that they were suppose to prepare us a "breakfast...

Cheap and very basic rooms (I'm pretty sure some of them are actually cupboards/prison cells). But rooms are for sleeping, so to get some air hang out at the roof top bar! It's a great place to meet people (once they get themselves away from their laptops...) The staff aren't the most enthusiastic but for $20 pp a double I'm...

This is a great budget backpackers and good place to meet people. I was in Arusha on my own from leave in South Sudan and stayed at the backpackers for a few days after hiking Mt. Meru. I was only supposed to stay two nights but stayed 4 after meeting some great people there. It's a good base for Safari,...

The hostel is located on the main road through Arusha center, so it an get a bit noisy in the morning hours, especially because all of the rooms are facing the street. Rooms are very simple, the dorms are ok, but the bunk beds are not very stable, so when the person above you moves a lot, you move too....

I stayed at the Arusha backpackers after completing a climb to kilimanjaro, and it was exactly what i needed after a long exhausting 7 days in the mountain. I had a single room, it was very small with a strong fan which was very useful in the heat of february. The size of the room was not an issue for...

I slept in the room number 204. it is really narrow, there is no mosquito-net, the fan is really noisy and the room wasn't very clean, at night you can even see cockroaches walking around... Moreover, I book with the reception a taxi at 2:45 am to go to the airport. The taxi never arrive and i received no help...

Had to chuckle at the previous comments. Yes we sat at the bar and ordered food and guess what. Yes you guessed it, they got the order wrong. But we chilled guys and ate it anyway. and the food and bar area are really nice. Bit difficult finding parking if you riding a vehicle. Otherwise pleasant stay
