The customer service at Klub Afriko is top notch. The safari coordinators, drivers, directors and general staff are friendly, sincerely helpful, and go above and beyond to make your experience a positive one. A group from a New England university stayed at Klub Afriko in 2002 and 2004. I would stay there again, without hesitation. It is a lovely place, with good food and good service. The bar is fun. Klub Afriko is beautiful, but yes, it is way out of Arusha. Cool place to stay after a safari and on your way to Kilimanjaro Airport. Staff is extremely friendly and the food was great. We have stayed at Klub Afriko many times. Unlike the other reviewer, our experiences have been very positive. The staff members are friendly, honest and fun. I did not feel safe with my daughter at Klub Afriko. It looked like a charming alternative to a traditional western style hotel, but it is located deep within a dangerous slum, far away from any paved road or any business, with no way out except through the manager's taxi driver friends who overcharge enormously for a ride anywhere.
