My wife and I and our two older daughters rented two cabins at the Lake Duluti Lodge for three nights while we explored some of the sights in the Arusha area (including Arusha National Park). I originally though that the remote location of the lodge outside of Arusha would be a detriment--since we could not walk into town. However, after...

One of the hardest things to deal with on a trip to Africa are the long flights. We recently returned from a trip to Tanzania which began with an arrival at the Kilimanjaro airport. From there we continued on to the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengenti. But honestly you need a day or so to recover from the 24plus hours on...

We stayed here on both ends of our 7 day Safari at the advice of our Safari company. It was a beautiful setting with very nice rooms set back away enough that you felt like you were truly in the wilderness already. Dinner was tasty and the breakfast was filling and a good start to a trip as well as...

Twin rooms are nice and spacious. Beds are comfortable with mosquito nets. The bathroom is well equipped but the shower head lets down the whole thing. You have to keep moving to get wet and the pressure is good but with the bad shower head it squirts in the wrong places. The food at the lodge is amazing. Last year...

This was our beginning and end point for our 14 day safari. We arrived at 1:40am on Turkish Airways and they were there to bring us to the lodge. We didn't get to the lodge until nearly 3am but the manager and his staff were up and waiting for us. Service was impeccable. Food was excellent. Rooms were beautiful and...

We stayed for 2 nights prior to safari. The lodges are private and the decor is high-end. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of room to spread out, and there was a fan to help cool the place (no a/c.) The food was wonderful and the staff was warm and attentive. Power and hot water are available 24/7 (with...

I stayed at Lake Duluti Lodge for three nights in Feb 2016. During that time, various medications were stolen from my room. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the theft had occurred until after I had checked out. The rooms are fine, food was fine, but I can't rate them any higher due to having experienced the theft of my medications. They...

But, in my experience, almost no properties in the northern safari circuit have AC. They have fans, which work fairly well. The rooms are private and very large, with beautiful wood, large bathrooms with separate soaking tubs and double sinks, and comfortable beds. The pool is adequate, but the setting quite lovely with tropical plants in a working coffee plantation.
