Camped here the night before and the night after we camped in the Serengeti. The grounds themselves are nice but the toilet block needs looking after. Firstly, no loo roll in the toilets at any point. It's common in Tanzania but we hadn't expected to need some for the places we actually stayed at. The shower blocks have open drains...

This is my third visit to Twiga, each time with a large group of students and accompanying team. The students pitch their tents under the shade of the trees on the grass, while the team and I stay in the rooms. After camping for several long hot days it is wonderful to have a hot shower, ceiling fan and comfortable...

We camped here for one night after our 3 day safari to Serengeti/Ngorongoro crater. It's a good place to rest with a pool (very busy during our stay) and the campground has wonderful grass and shady trees. The bathrooms could do with a renovation, the shower block is unisex so need better areas to hang clothes etc. in the cubicles....

We camped here for one night on a five day tour around the northern safari circuit. It is ideally located only a few minutes drive from the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park, a perfect park to warm up for the famous Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater. Twiga is a strange mix of camping, chalets and corporate-style hotel suites (there is...

The staff was super polite and attentive. Prices were reasonable for very nice grounds in the middle of town and close to Lake Manyara NP. We ended up extending our stay and almost did even longer as it is a great central spot to day trip to many of the parks. One downside, dinner is made from scratch so even...

Loved this place. Beautiful large clean room with AC and hot running showers. Large bathroom and wonderful bed. We had a different lodge booked that night, but it was dirty so our tour company moved us to this lodge and we were so happy they did ! I would stay here again , for sure !

We stayed there before we began our safari and then came back 5 days later when we finished our safari. During our first stay we got a room with one beg bed and a smaller bed although the booking was for a couple. The bathrooms were poor. In our second stay we got one of the newer rooms which were...

Stayed at one of the appartments with each one bedroom and bathroom. Everything was clean, staff friendly. Small bottle of water available. Internet voucher can be provided e.g. 5000 TZS for one hour which is expensive. Did not try restaurant or swimming pool.

Very well maintained, great food (they actually knew how to make sunny side up eggs) for the local standards and exceptionally clean and cosy rooms. I can fully recommend this place, just beware, Internet is not for free and can cost a bit. Good luck!

The rooms at Twiga Lodge are modern, and with everything you need - they certainly offer good value for money. The location is good as a stop-off en route to the Crater or Serengeti. The let-down was the food, which was somewhat disappointing.
