Had pleasant stay, paid bill (dual pricing is a feature!). We were then stopped from boarding flight by police as owner said I underpaid by massive amount (41,000b). She returned 2/3rd of money the following day and after my group had to cut short holiday& wedding by one week. Suggest you get a detailed bill so you don't end up...

among all the budget accommodations we have been in southeast Asia, Fasai House is by far the best. Rooms are incredibly spacious and spotless, two extra bamboo armchair outside every room to chill after the day at the beach while cool down in the Jacuzzi pool. and the managers even offer us a car lift to the local bus stop...

We stayed here for 8 days and I have nothing but good things to say about Fasai. We were warmly welcomed and the rooms were clean and tidy, great air con and warm showers. The owner made us some homemade Thai food as a treat and it was some of the best Thai food I had in the three weeks...

Came to Khao Lak with no reservation. A woman in one of the agencies recommended this hotel (we were looking for a budget property). The hotel located off the main road, hence it's very quiet there. Got a room with nice french doors/windows on the second floor, with AC. Everything worked great: AC/ shower/ tv. The only downside: because it...

We stayed here for one day and chose this hotel as it was close to our diving center(Similan Diving Safaris). The room was clean, staff professional. It had a really good location on a side street close to all the restaurants/bars etc. The place is really good for the price and also had a small but clean pool. The beach...

This is a lovely place well situated in the main part of Khao Lak but a few hundred metres off a side road so perfectly quiet too. The staff are all really helpful and very friendly, the rooms are clean and good air con and the pool, whilst we didn't use it and it's not Olympic sized, looked clean and...

Everything you need you have on the room and not much more. Rooms are minimalistic (which I personally like) but everything is also of good quality: cupboard, shower, bed and airco. Nice little swimming pool on the patio. Very prefessional, friendly and flexible staff.

Lonely Planet calls this place "the best budget option". But this place is much better than a "budget option": the rooms are spacious and with everything you need, the staff is nice, the small restaurant is nice, and the building is nice. The pool may be small, but places in this price bracket rarely have pools. The main road with...
