Golf course in good condition, greens very true, caddies excellent. Only draw back was no hot water in showers for 2 weeks running. When you finish a round of golf in this heat you need a shower but preferably without freezing cold water.
Played the A and B nines and really enjoyed the round. Course was in very good condition when played, and caddies were great at reading the greens. The B course in particular was really eye catching, with some elevated tee shots giving a great outlook.
Established course in Pattaya that is not at the same level of presentation as some of the other newer resort courses. Still has challenging holes and some great views. If you are travelling for the golf experience then this could be left off the list unless you had a spare day. Still enjoyable.
My wife and I have played about 16 games of Golf in Thailand and this course is the worst. We played the A and D course The A course The Tee boxes were in terrible condition. The fairways had not been cut in some time. The Greens were fast but patchy with a few very worn areas. There were dogs roaming the course. There were workers sleeping in certain spots. The D course was in better shape but was only average. The Caddies were very good and were the only highlight of the morning. Don't bother with this course as across the road is one of the best courses we have played ( LAEM CHABANG)
I played here with a group of friends and thoroughly enjoyed the course. Its a challenging layout, some water but excellent caddies in our group, guided us around. Unfortunately we got stuck behind a group of 5 which slowed us up and didn't impress us. Otherwise a great course and will definitely play here again.
This is opposite Laem Chabang golf course. This is on par with Laem Chabang but it is more open. Beautiful holes and well looked after. Staff in club house are a bit hit and miss as to whether they understand you. Through out my 18 years this has some times been better maintained than Laem Chabang
The hotel is adequate -- and only that. Rooms are moderately appealing, but bathroom has areas with mold and mildew. Air conditioning works well, the patio area is pleasing - looking out over a small pond - and HBO in English is a bonus. The swimming pool is bizarre - water is not crystal clear, there are no loungers and towels (only a few patio chairs and tables), and a vast expanse of concrete makes up the pool decking. Communication is poor, as I e-mailed the "resort" several days ago regarding an article left behind and am still waiting for a reply. The only bright spot was the friendly customer service exhibited by the hotel golf cart drivers. These guys are golden. But, unfortunately, the rest of the stay was entirely average.
Let me throw this place a bone, and give them a five. This due to the lovely course, and the low prices. That second part is key. If you think you are going to some luxury resort, well you will be disappointed. This place has seen better days - it seems like somebody's great business idea - build a resort with 36 nice holes, sell plots for luxury homes, and watch the money roll in. Which does not appear to have happened. But... If you are looking for a low priced golf weekend, and don't need luxury, this would be hard to beat. We paid $40/night for a room, which comprised two comfortable beds and a clean room overlooking one of the holes, breakfast included. As hotel guests, another $30 each (1000 baht) for a round of 18, plus ten for the caddy and twenty for a cart each. A bucket at the driving range was practically free (40 baht a bucket). Location is near to Pattaya and an hour from the airport. Wifi was superfast in the room. TV was crappy, if you need that - just HBO in English. But overall, a very good experience - we will go back.…
Staff were very nice (for that 2 stars). Room was clean, except for the cockroaches (yes there was more than 1) and a broken sink that did not drain. Was too tired to complain to the desk when I arrived at 10.30 pm. Should have known this place was an 'also-ran'. The town has many better hotels at cheaper price, sacrifice 15 min driving and you'll thank yourself. BTW, no wifi here. An interesting welcome back to 'nature.'
If you're based in Pattaya, this should be one of the courses you play once you have a few rounds under your belt and you just want a relaxing round of golf without all the stress. However, for a 36 hole course, they have probably less than 40 lockers in one small room. I guess the course is geared towards those who stay at the hotel next door, but still, the facilities is way less than you expect at a course of this standard. Other facilities are also average. It's too bad considering I had fun on the course.
