It's my second time staying at this location, and for a town that's not exactly chock full of good places to stay, it gets the job done. You're better off getting breakfast anywhere else, even 7-11, and the wifi doesn't work hardly at all, but...More

I can't answer for the hotel, but the best thing to do is buy a ferry ticket that includes the bus transfer to Surat Thani town. Otherwise, upon arrival at Don Sak you can just buy a ticket and board one of the buses there. Phantip Travel buses (Google them to see route and fares) ply the route all day. They take you to the centre of Surat Thani town, and from there it is only a short walk (a couple of streets in the direction of the Night Market) to the hotel.

We traveled by bus, think it took us a little over an hour. Not sure what the costs were, but you can book at the hotel reception. Think it was around 500 baht??? For a combination bus and boat ticket??
