Stayed overnight after a late flight before travelling to Samui. Friendly staff and clean room. Food in the restaurant was good. Hotel was great years ago but showing its age now. Only complaint was different pricing for the taxi to the ferry from the night and day staff at reception. 200 baht in the difference between the two. Breakfast was...

As a person living in Thailand with own car I love this hotel. But for backpackers it's not convenient for ferry, train, bus or night market. This is provincial hotel. Not catering to international tourists. Anyone living long time in Thailand will appreciate what this hotel offers: good restaurant, excellent breakfast, large swimming pool, comfortable rooms, great cafe in lobby.

The Wang Thai hotel overlooks the river. It is a very "Thai Hotel." We love the real Thai food from an extensive menu. This hotel is ideal as a stop over en route to Koh Samui and SouthernThailand and the wonderfull National parks within driving distance. We recommend the mid range rooms or a suite. On our recent visit we...

It’s my first time in Surat Thani, and I stayed 2 nights in this 3-star hotel. Location: My Thai colleague chose this 3-star hotel because it’s only 25 km from Surat Thani Airport and hence took us not more than 40 minutes (depending on traffic conditions) to reach it. It is located very close to a river. There are plenty...

An average hotel with friendly service. But it is quite a old hotel. The interior room, lighting, bathroom etc. need maintenance and the central switching of the room lighting was not working in my room.

I was quite pleased with Wang Tai hotel, the room, the breakfast, it's facilities, until the last day of my stay there I learned that the Thais call a cockroach... Peter! Like every Thai person has a nickname, so apparently the cockroach must have one too! So, Peter it was!

Upon arrival we were advised there was an extra charge as we only booked 1 person in each of the twin rooms and there was four of us. The charge was 150 baht per person, but the two rooms we booked were twin rooms so not sure why it was expected there would be any less than 2 people in...

“Choose a high floor overlooking the river or the pool side, which is more pleasant . The deluxe suite is really worth the extra for a treat (great for families) They allow extra beds in the room and the interconnecting rooms are good for kids.”
