This is school dinners Thai style. Like the others we got this as part of a day tour so this is the restaurant not the resort. Slopping out would be a good description. The tables were being wiped with cloths which looked as if they'd cleaned the floor. We came away healthy which was a slight surprise so this place...

As with the other two reviewers, we went as part of the 1000baht package available in Chiang Rai town, to the golden triangle. Very limited choice of dishes, sweet and sour fish was like the one our local Chinese place in Perth makes, Mynamar chicken - overbooked boiled to death chicken, and the wontons were sheets of wanton wrapping with...

Worst food I ever had in Thailand. No taste, overcooked and little variety. Also service was basically missing. I guess u cannot squeeze more profit out of tour groups than booking buffet here. We already regret booking a daytrip from chiang mai to white temple and golden triangle.

NOTE: Wish Tripvisore will SEPARATE food from hotel vs. accommodation. This review is for the FOOD. I did not stay at the hotel. Golden Iyara is located about 10 minutes from the GT in Thailand side. A total tourist trap as there are no other eateries nearby. I booked a day tour to GT, etc. We stopped here for lunch...
